🌴 I stayed in a Poly studio with my sister and niece before they upgraded to the pull-down bed. I think we had a standard view. I am glad that we got to stay, but we didn't like the set up in the room. For 3 people staying 6 nights, it had its issues. We want to give it another try, but will probably stick to the regular hotel side rather than renting points for a studio. I find the lack of storage and lack of updated outlets to be a turnoff.
🌴The Poly is my favorite, though probably more for sentimental reasons than anything else. My husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon 16 years ago this week. We were in the building that is now Moorea and looking back at the photo I took of our view, it may have even been the same room or a couple down from yours on the first floor! This was pre-DVC and pre-Bungalows so it was actually considered a theme park view since we had a beautiful, unobstructed view of Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain. At the time those rooms were regular hotel rooms with the setup that you would see in the non-DVC buildings. Agreed that with the kitchenette and second bathroom, the studio feels much smaller than a regular hotel room. That said, we stayed in a Poly studio this summer with our 8-year old twins and still loved it.
We stayed in this room type and our trip solidified our decision to make the Polynesian one of our home resorts. We had a second floor and our kids still talk about how much they loved watching fireworks from our balcony. Favorite studio on property! Worth the extra points for sure!
I love how much you are enjoying those closet organizers. I wonder if you've seen the no reception hideaway duffle. I know it is very expensive but it's kind of a cool concept you might like.
The Poly is our home resort. I loved it when my son was small, but now that he is a teenager, it's a little cramped. Still, I am in love with the resort and can't wait for the tower. 🌴🍹
🌴🌴 Of course we would love to stay at the Polynesian!! Our home decor has that dark wood, banana leaf, Polynesian vibe inspired by our trip to Disney back in 2008 and the luau we went to there, way back then. I earned a trip to Maui for my husband and I two years ago through my job so I feel like since I've been to the real thing, I might want to try another deluxe resort first but yes, definitely still on the bucket list. Thanks for the tour!! 🌴🌴
🌴 we have stayed there years ago twice and would LOVE to stay again maybe one or two nights at the end of our trip but it’s gotten so expensive but I would really love to one more time
🐬🌺I stayed at the Polynesian in 1984 when I was a teenager😬. Now when we go to Disney World, we stay at Shades of Green, but we always pop in the Polynesian to walk around and take in the wonderful smell! I would love to stay there again someday!
🌴 We are here currently..in this exact same room type. I have to say I’m a little disappointed with the room. It does feel tight and it is SO FAR away from the lobby. We have stayed at Polynesian before in a standard studio and I liked them more. Never stayed in the regular hotel rooms. Would love to try that at some point! This resort also seems so busy compared to others.
@@AlexaWacker yes I know it’s a studio room. We liked the other ones more. The standard ones in my opinion are a better choice for our family. The lake view studios are far away and I agree that the halls seem very tight in these rooms. We haven’t stayed in the regular resort rooms yet. We would like to at some point. Our daughter loves Moana and I think she would like the theming there.
We’ve just got back from there nearly two weeks ago. Our room was 1042 then we just had enough points for the bungalows for our final night ❤ I miss it so much 😞 🌴
I love the Polynesian resort and Have stayed in the villa with three adults and it worked out just fine. I agree that they could have used a little less room on the bathrooms and put it in the remainder of the room. My favorite view is of the DVC pool.
🌴Maybe one of the few, but I grew up on the west coast going to Disneyland and have never been to WDW. I will be so prepared for our first little family trip!
🐠🍹🌴I've never stayed at any of the resorts, but I like watching the videos in case I do have the chance one day. I don't have any children or anything, but I am wheelchair-bound, so seeing what kind of space there is in the rooms is interesting. I know you don't stay in those particular rooms, but I can get an idea.
I've got a doozy of a story about the pre reno couch beds. We were at Saratoga in 2018 for ten days. I got so sick so I put my son with dad in the real bed and I took the sofa bed. After the second night I couldn't take it so ended up sitting on the toilet all night and sleeping there for eight nights😵😲😷 It was just as well because I kept getting into these coughing fits and "went" every time it happened. Turned out I had pneumonia, strep throat, and double ear infections. Had to miss two weeks of work after we got home. With God as my witness, I'll never forget that trip or that horrible pull out bed!
🥥 We went for the first time this past August and stayed at a standard resort room with the Moana theme. We loved it so much we are going back in May 😅
🍍🌺🍍🦜🍍 We are staying there in May! I’m worried about the long walk from the studio rooms, but I consider them a necessity. The big double bathrooms are exactly what we need. Your adult bathroom will be my teenage daughter’s bathroom. I think locking herself in the bathroom every evening, away from the rest of us, is the only way she’ll be able to destress from two weeks of vacation and family time.
We are staying here now in a deluxe studio, standard view. We are on the 3rd floor and have a view of the top of the castle lol. I was so excited to stay at the poly but it is a one and done for us. We just didn’t like it compared to other resorts.
We have stayed in a similar room and was fine. We travel with an adult child and the bed for him at that time was terrible. We prefer to go to hotel rooms with two queen sized beds like at AKL. Fit the right deal I would be happy to return to the Poly. I did feel that the monorail was not that magical and I was disappointed with the transportation. I generally would rather stay on cresant lake but we do not have young children at this time.
Did you request a second or third floor room? We are going next month and have this room type and are really hoping our request comes through. I think they need a 3rd room type, how is it fair that others will have a non-obstructive view of the magic kingdom for the same points/price as what you got? 🌴🌺🍍
Poly is 100% bucket list resort. DREAM RESORT tbh 🌴
You’re glowing, Ashley!✨ love the makeup look or whatever it is that you’re doing🤍
🌴🌴 Polynesian is on my bucket list. Would love to stay there soon.

🌴 Can't wait for our FIRST little family trip in March!! Started following you for all things toddler related! I LOVE your hair!
Poly is definitely on my bucket list! 🌴🏝️
Great video like always 😊

Love the Poly!! We are a family of 5 and have two teens now so a studio is a little tight but still my fav!! 🌺

🌺🌊 favorite resort for my kids and I, we got to stay one night but would love to go back!
The Poly is definitely on my bucket list….Thank you for the room tour🌴

This is a studio room. They are the same size. It’s the regular resort rooms that are different.

Miss the slumber pods in the videos. The girls are growing up!
🌴🌊🌅 Looking forward to the new Tower .. ..
🏝️ bucket list and just booked this exact room with a bounce back!!!
🌴 we did a dvc tour at the Polynesian in August and it’s our new favorite resort! Hopefully we can buy into dvc there soon 🤞🏻
🐠 we stayed at Poly 2 weeks ago. It was beautiful and we loved the pool area but I didn’t care for the location of our building. We were in Pago Pago.
Yeah, that is sooo far away from the resort restaurants and transportation. I was going to request the closer building and keep it fingers crossed.
We’ve just got back from there nearly two weeks ago. Our room was 1042 then we just had enough points for the bungalows for our final night ❤

You had me at lilo and stitch.... now i HAVE to stay there... my kiddo is obsessed...

🌺🌴🐠 Poly is probably next on my bucket list after GrandFlo. Especially since my boy is big into Moana
🏝️We haven’t stayed there yet, but it’s definitely on the list!
🌴🌴🌴 would love to stay here one day!!

Poly def is on my list but more so to gain access to their pools, I hear they’re the best of the monorail resorts.
Poly is on my bucket list!!!!
It's such a dream!
🌴🏄🏼♀️We are staying in the new villas in March 💕❣️
Would love to stay at the Poly🌴🌴🌴
rainforest cafe at ainmal kingdom and toney resturant at magic kingdom are really food

🌴we just had a stay there. It was lovely for the three of us, but I definitely agree with you on the bathroom size... could've used that space better.
🌴 I have not stayed there yet but I want to eventually have every resort checked off.

Ask for box fan!
Where would you park an Ecv?
