Mmmm, not wanting to rain on your parade, but those birdbox bees are not going to be happy that their combs are tipped on their sides - each cell is angled down at 13deg to the bottom so nectar and the feed that they give to the brood don't run out.
You need to keep each section of the comb the right way up, even if it means cutting it into several sections.
With the elastic bands, it is easier to put one band diagonally across one side, looped over opposite corners, turn the frame over, lay the comb in the frame, and then put another band on the opposite diagonal over the top - saves holding it in place as you band the combs in.

Question: Thé combs in the bird boxes
are virtical and in your hive you put them horizontally…does that not disrupt the bees?

They will build new Comb on those Frames Mark added to the outer positions. And he can take out those wonky (wrong orientated ones) out of the Hive, as the Bees build their new Comb Home ! Simples. 😎

I also collect swarms on the Gold Coast. I have found this a good way to improve the size of my apiary. Yes it does mean a little bit of extra work but it's definitely worth it. And yes I quarantined the bees to make sure they're not disease-ridden. On my last excursion to collect bees I received a free bottle of Bundy Rum.

Think it was David Bellamy... Your thinking of, as you Scratch your Bushy Bearded Chin !
Sir David Attenborough was not that basic... 😄
(Re UK Nature Kids TV Programmes...) not on the Beeb ! Bellamy did Saturday Morning Telly !
(Sir D.A was on the BBC.) Commercial Telly was David Bellamy....
Snobbery came in the 70's if you watched the 'other side' and during the Day ! 🙄 The times when their were only x3 Channels and 'nothing' on so to speak ! 🤣

Coming to the end of our Bee Season here in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
We did record the hottest day ever, at a Weather Station near here, back in July. An amazing 34.6C
For us it was a scorcher for sure.🔥 That would be classed a Cool Breeze with you in the Sun baked Riverland.
Oh to revisit OZ again sometime soon. Came through your place in the 1980's. 😉

Shag carpet nailed to the inside of a birdbox roof deters bees makes bird boxes less attractive to honey bees. You may wish to pass that along to the bird box man.

Ya they accidentally built a real nice little swarm trap. I'd just hang those in my trees, let them be little swarm factories.
