I've never had an issue with water here but since I had this filter that I bought for trips out of Newfoundland to other provinces or for two trips to the US, I will usually use it anyway. It is quick and easy. Thanks for stopping by.....Take care, Bluefin.

I consider any stream in NL safe and just dip my cup. Not close to bogs though. Never had an issue. Can say that for other parts of Canada. Good tips.
