In reality, she has nothing to prove anymore. Now we can just enjoy her for her artistic ability. She doesn't have to prove the size of a fretboard every time she picks up a guitar. She already did that. Now she can be part of a band. And I hope that they going amazing places together. She might throw out a solo here and there. Maybe at her live performances. But you also have to remember that she's also playing music that she can play live. Could you imagine her trying to pull out Beethoven live every night? When you get to that level of expertise people expect perfection. She's trying to manage expectations. I'm glad she's back.
Exactly my thoughts. This comment by far outperforms the reaction Video it comments on
Got to remember she's still very young, writing music and playing covers are totally different skill sets, she's on her on own journey and she'll get there, I have no doubts she'll go down as one of the greats.
@@vidiveniviciDCLXVI she already has.
Nah. People were drawn to her as a guitar virtuoso - not a side-man.
El Estepario Siberiano can do whatever he wants on the drums but he dies whats right for his bands music
She went to university, now she's following her own creative path. Why would anyone with her abilities want to be stuck doing covers? I applaud her new direction and wish all the luck to the band.
She spent her whole life playing things other people wanted, and now she’s free to perform in her own way and I’m so proud of her for that. I was so little when I first started watching her; someone my age that has a passion that I wanted to keep growing for myself. If anything, her new music inspires me more to keep going. KEEP IT UP TINA
Keep the Faith Alex! This is exactly what I was expecting! I never expected her to come back doing covers of other peoples music! Her talent is still there, She has simply moved in another direction, a direction in which she can express her true emotions. None of us knows the trials she has faced in the last 7 years or for that matter what she has faced in the years prior to that. Pay attention to the story line of the song not just the music. She is not a solo artist all the time anymore, she is one part of a band with each member having a place in the spotlight. Don't worry there will be some great solos coming, this is just the first taste of the new Tina and I love it!
It's a good song! I'm excited for the future of this band! Tina is playing very well ❤
My thoughts exactly.. shes gonna do her way, not what others want.
They are not real tattoos Alex, they are fake unlike Tina’s playing. She is back with a bang and I wouldn’t be surprised that this song will climb as fast as light on the hard rock list world wide. But please don’t be inpatient because it didn’t had a guitar solo, she just appeared after a long pause and finished her degree in entertaining electronic engineering. Sorry that you were expecting some earth shaking comeback, but it’s her decision if she stays in music business or not. One thing is sure, she is tired to cover others guitar solos, so you better appreciate whatever she does, or do not have go on the YT chanel and give a bad review. Thanks!
TOTALLY AGREE!!! Patience.....she is back....and her little band have MASSIVE potential to blow minds! Great start!!!!!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🎸🎸🎸
Totally agree! Go Tina.
She plays 3 or 4 guitars at a time then mixed perfectly. she holds the walls of this song
I thought that Tina showed her musicianship by playing for the song, and a great amount of musical integrity by keeping her technical prowess in check. Remember that she had been doing covers of other people's songs, and creating what you feel musically is a much different challenge. The song itself is fantastic and I thought she put just enough TinaS in it to fill in the neccesary pieces.
I don’t thinks it her
@@godbyone To each their own I guess. Get some hellp with that, would you.
You’re probably that dude that thinks biden is wearing a mask ? 😂
All joking aside you may be right. Someone could have taken over her channel when she fell off the earth. Where’s the proof this is her ? Her guitar playing so far is nothing like Tina S
Probably one of the biggest tina fans out there...... I think she's building to something. Ok I have to admit, the neck tats and the hand tat.....all the tats actually.....had me floored at first. Did not see that coming. So she's obviously not the little girl we all remember. She's grown, she's changed and has the warning labels to prove it. Now that's said. What does it mean? My own opinion here.....many may disagree. But studying her old videos it seems she was pressed into music at a very early age. Although she obviously was a natural and excelled, she may have grown to resent the pressure, hence the drop off the planet and 6 years of hiding out without a single post. Now we see her in an extreme display of rebellion against a "proper upbringing" as some would describe it, and in a rock band, heaven forbid. She always struck me as very methodical in her playing style, never really smiling much in videos, almost robotic. When she rarely did smile it was only after, through intense concentration on a very intricate and technical solo, we'd see her smirk like she nailed it and was satisfied with herself. Possibly trying her best to please whoever pressured her into recording and attempting such insanely hard covers. Talent like hers is a very rare gift that must be honed and a skill that must be mastered thru intense dedication and I imagine her life may have been like that of some of the abused ballet dancers we see on some of the John Wick movies portrayed under the pursuit of perfection. But maybe not quite so severe. Anyway, I'm rambling. I think she did great in this vid, was reserved and didn't steal the spotlight or showboat because, let's face it, we all know what she's capable of. She mellowed and gave us a taste of what to expect. Remember this is just one song on what I hope will be an LP of at least 10 tracks. This may just be the best track that represents the entire band, and the others songs on the way may highlight more of her gift. Let's be patient and give her the chance. We all waited this long, we can wait a bit longer. I see great things for her future. This track will take off, it's mainstream, has a vibe of papa roach meets the strokes, is upbeat and pensive all at the same time. Yeah it kinda sounds to me like some alter intro to One step closer by Linkin Park.....but there's no hope if we don't trust in love.....
The matter is quite obvious. She doesn't need to show how virtuoso she is (has been). She has done her bit in the cover industry. She wants to show the world (or her fans) that she is now playing on her terms. I think it's fantastic. It was a great era with her covers now it's on "real" Tina S. Will definitely be following her
People do realize that we are in the age of The Weeknd and Olivia Rodrigos? There are NO intruments. None. 2 minute guitar solos for Tiktok? She has the courage to come up with a very well created and executed song. All the guitars and instruments are originally played by her. So she composed this ALL BY HERSELF. Her FIRST compositions. And, by the way, One of Us and Gravity both have mini solos. This song has brilliant layering. Has her tapping technique in the end. Has her unique, distinct sound with her Vigier. It's her. What there isn't is a shredfest. And so what. Her playing serves the song. Because she is a fabulous musician. And, now, an engineer. Which is amazing. It's hers, not covers.
She is gone for almost 8 years, everybody expects her to come back and be exactly the same. She's doing what she wants to do and that's all that matters
I guess she just wants to fade into oblivion .
@@Stefan-Van-der-Pulst if that's what happens, then that's what happens. But at least she'll do it on her terms, playing her own music, instead of somebody else's
I 100% agree with you. Every artist progresses differently. Just look at guitarists like Steve Vai for example. He learned to play, he did his own thing, then he joined various major bands and performed for years that way. In the end, he went back to doing his own thing and has been one of the most successful guitarists the world has ever seen. TinaS is young and her future is still being written. Don't worry about the haters, they just don't understand that people transform and change as their lives unfold and that is exactly what we are witnessing with TinaS. I am looking forward to seeing where she goes instrumentally!
When you're as good as she is, just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.
I think she played like this with a reason just because we all expected a fury leadguitar .The song itself remind me a lot on Altere Bridge!
I agree with you that somethin`s missing, something wich dramatically change the dynamic in the song
The nice news is that she`s back for all her fans around the world including myself.
Yes. 100 percent alter bridge. But no solo. S wtf
Good reaction as usual. Fully aligned with you. Thanks for your honesty. The good news is that she is back.
I don’t think it’s her
everyone expecting her to burn up the fret board and saying shit well i think she did a great job . she gave the song what it needed , its not an instrumental . being the professional that she is she did a good no a great job , no show boating . just doing what needed to be done . its a great song . and people wonder why she left youtube six or seven years ago .
I'm just happy seeing she's back and playing guitar making music again, one day she will hit us with those super complex solo sessions again, watch out!
its called playing for the song and she does an awesome job
This is a band not a young girl practicing her technique by doing shredding covers. Personally, I think it's a good start, not overly impressed with the singer but overall good job.
Bothered my just a touch when she gives us a touch of solo guitar that the singer wants to scream over it. Pick your moments dude. Play with your band not against it.
Song is channeling Nickelback vibes, but Tina is exceptional
Reminds me of linkin park. Vocalists looks a bit like one of them too.
I feel like a kid waiting 7 years for Christmas. I was expecting my favorite video game but all I got was a sweater. She's way too talented to be in a mediocre band
I don’t think it’s her.
@@godbyoneelaborate
The only thing that is mediocre is your taste
why expect some egocentric solo? a part of a band serves the song, not vice versa. it s a pathetic demand.
some bands even refuse such solocrap, because of that point. jinjer comes to mind, the music doesnt need that. rest is matter of taste. tina has nothing to prove!
she does what she loves!
deal with that.
The songs are great. She has made the concious decision to make them less flashy. She has done the flashy stuff for years. The songs are still super catchy and have interesting layering.
I loved the song. Tina looks great! We have to keep in mind that we are all use to Tina S being the key. As now she is part of something bigger than her alone. She may not want to stand out at first with solos and such. We all know she is capable so lets give them a chance to shine. Its not all about her skill alone. We'll see what the rest of the new album holds.
The only reason we heard this band is because of Tina S. She should stand out because of the following she built. Sharing the spotlight with the sub par drummer and singer? These are her mates.
@@rumpleforeskin3079her bandmates fit perfectly. They did what the song needed and so did Tina. This is not a flashy song and Tina made the concious decision to not make this EP very flashy. She has done the flashy virtuoso shit for years. Its time to let others shine and try something new
A great musician will always serve the song and never try to overpower it. Tina does just that .😊
Brilliant 👏
You have the right of it. It is the same with Emppu of Nightwish. He serves the music; he never feels compelled to show off.
We all were waiting for Tina to come back. I am happy because Tina is playing and the Spin Twice sounds great together.
Great tease, with I'm sure a lot more to come 🤘🤘
spot on, and you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. that was exactly my reaction when i first heard that. one of the best guitarists of a generation (male or female) has hung it up to be 'part of the band' as she calls it. a thoroughbred slumming it with stable nags. a crying shame.
agreed, also big deception here, her skill level is same as kurt kobain or nearly. solo was so shy i wouldn't call it a solo. and her watching her fingers all the time... it was Tina Sad...
Men, its the first time me on your channel. Appreciate your honest opinion, i think exactly the same. This song is very week actually. They should show this song to someone with taste before coming out with this one. Tina is one of the best player so i happy she is back.
It is a great song. Tina actually made the concious decision to not write anything flashy for now. She has done that for years. Its time to try something else and let the band shine instead of forcing herself into everyones face.
A really good rock song, as well as the two other songs Spin Twice published! For me it's not a comeback, it is the introduction of a new fresh rock band with a very well known member -> Tina S.
The way they perform and play together is great because it is their music, it's what they feel and how they want to transport their messages and music - it is definitely not (and this is really good) a Tina. S Cover-Band kinda "i play solos for 15 minutes in the style of Vai, Satriani, etc.". This young woman showed us some 7 years ago what a great guitar player she is, what a great talent she is and what she is capable to achieve, but now she's making her own music, her songs, her feelings.......
....Maybe there will be songs where she plays longer solos the way she performed some years ago, but for me that's not the important part especially because she's one member of a band, a band with a singer and not a band only playing instrumental arrangements.
Im glad this young lady is back and that she's back in her own style and not the style others would expect her to be.
muy de acuerdo contigo amigo!!! 😎
It usually takes a few albums for a guitarist as skillful as Tina S to come to realize that it's about the song and the band and not just about you. I was shocked that she has already learned this in just her first recording. This is what's shocking.
She's back, she's ok, thus I was happy already. First time with original music (if I am not mistaken), and as the debut single of a new band not bad at at all.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the EP, which will be released at midnight CEST.
This is not what we expected but this is great. She should do whatever she wants. Cheers.
So happy that she's well. And gives us her music again after a so long break. The song is great.
Alex. I agree with you. I guess I have to conclude that I'm really happy Tina is back. Remember when everyone was wondering if she just gave up on music, went to school, or just did something else? There's nothing remarkable about this song, BUT ... Tina's back! Which means, she's put something out there. Artists do different things, and this is a little different from all the virtuosic stuff she put out seven years ago. I was just waiting for a killer solo, as was probably everyone who watched this. Didn't happen, but, again, she's back. And what that means is that we can expect more stuff. And you can bet there will be some mind-blowing solos upcoming.
This is a little departure, but I'll give an analogy. My first degree was in music, so I really appreciate when I hear music done by classically- or jazz-trained musicians. Not big on garage bands, meaning bands that do so many of the songs out there that are just loud and fuzz guitar-loaded. If you like that type of thing, that's great because all types of music just make the world a beautiful menu of choices. I don't like that type of music ... typically. My analogy is about a group called Kansas. I think every reactor online has done "Dust in the Wind," which is nice. I don't care for the song. It's a nice song, slow and pretty, I guess. Doesn't really excite me, because I bought the Kansas albums and listened to some ot their masterpieces WHICH NEVER MADE IT TO THE RADIO. As a contrast, "Song For America," composed by Kerry Livgren, is a huge ten-minute-long song comprising what seems like the amount of sections you'd have typically in three songs mashed together. A piano interlude is in the 9/8 time signature, which is incredible. I don't typically listen to rock music, but "Song for America" has me with my jaw hanging open, it's so intelligently composed and performed.
So, I think Tina is capable of jaw-dropping "Song for America"-level stuff, but this was just a nice intro. And, like some of the other reactors have noted, she just laid back as part of the band, which is a nice courtesy to the other band members. Good for her. She knows how good she is, and so do we. So my thinking is, "Stay tuned."
Every musician has to decide what they want out of their music. You hit the nail on the head with your analogy.... there's basically two types of music: 1. Really genius compositions with technically masterful performances, and 2. Music people want to listen to. The number of people who listen to music with any appreciation for what goes into making that music pales inn comparison to the number of people who just listen to music recreationally. As a musician myself, I can appreciate the things people like Vai and Satriani play, but I can't listen to their albums. I listen to music to NOT have to think about anything, it's a form of relaxation. I don't want to be actively thinking about what is going on in what I'm listening to, as is the same with most people. Virtuosity is tiring to listen to for most people. That's why you see most people walk past the violin player playing Bach compositions in the subway station but see crowds gather around the drummer on the street corner.
When I saw something new from Tina S, I thought "are my eyes going bad"?
After 2 years, I had figured that she had found another path in life.
We all were waiting for Tina and we had a random singer, not bad but not expected...😢
Glad to see her back however this style of music doesn't showcase her incredible talent, but that's her choice
I also followed Her on RUclips years ago.
I'm really happy that she has resurfaced in great numbers with a very good sounding band.
I hope that they can make or write more songs with this band and that they will develop even more talent in longer guitar solos.
I'm so sorry to agree with you. I'm french and I'm very disappointed by this kind of come back. I don't know what I was waiting for Tina, but for sure I was'nt expected that...
AWESOME!!! FIRE!!! Go TINA!!!
After watching the video I was like, what the hell just happened 🤯
Honestly, I was expecting a power metal band.
She's allowed to have a Linkin Park cover band, but come on man. She needs a better manager or move to USA to find the right people, sheesh.
I had the same reaction as you did but I had to remember that TinaS was known for covers. Complicated covers and for her age she had monster chops but still they were covers. If you noticed all the tattoos and listened to the lyrics I can't help but think she was telling us how she feels. But then again who knows? I was surprised when Vai, Satriani, Dragonforce, Anchenemy or any established artist didn't take her on the road with them because I want to believe the guitar community is a community but that never happened. I also wanted to see her in a band with players that are her equal and can build something with her amazing talent but music is the luck of friends. Talent doesn't automatically equal success and if this is her first attempt at writing a song-I don't know that;I have't seen the writing credit it's actually not bad. She will grow into it given time and the support of her circle. Again music is the luck of friends-in the band and in the audience. That's my two cents.
Assuming she wrote the lyrics. Might be the singer job, sometimes how bands work
Idk what exactly she has written but she mentioned on Facebook that she made the concious decision to write less flashy guitar stuff. She has done that for years. This was about creating something in a band and not forcing herself onto others.
Wall of sound, Bro. Tina owes us nothing.
I get the reaction. I had mixed feelings. On one hand, I two, was hoping for a dazzling guitar performance. On the other hand though I kind of appreciate the restraint in simply being a part of the band. I’m just glad that she’s back.
I think that all those ones incredible covers was only apprenticeship, when in fact, the musical style her was another. These new songs proves that theory.
I feel the same emptiness Alex.
The band sounds great, the playing is mature, The drummer is solid, the singer, while not completely unique, still has a good voice, the mix sounds amazing, and it's a good song. I know we were expecting Dream Theater guitar busy-bonkers face-melting prog metal, but this is good too. Who knows, there might be some absolute fret-melters on the rest of the album, but when artists put out original music, I'm supportive, because putting your soul out for all to see is not easy. I'm so happy for Tina and the other members of the band, they're solid.
This is absolutely a single, And I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.
I really dig her fret-walking theme at the end, sounded good.
As far as bass goes, I'm pretty sure they're a trio, and I think there was a quick b-roll cut that show Tina in the studio doing the bass track, although I might be mistaken, it was a quick cut.
Either way, good tune!
I think that like me and a lot of us we were just expecting MORE. I’m hoping that in some of the upcoming songs Tina releases the beast that we all know dwells within her.
Tbh when I first heard about that song I was expecting more, but I like the song and she doesn't over do the guitar parts.
That band has a Steve Vai level guitarist who just wants to play the stuff she likes. Happy for her
I feel exactly the same. Radio garbage, well arranged but that's it. I expected something different.
I have seen a ordinary group where is my music godess ? where is Tina the Great ?
I agree with you. It was ok. I'm going to listen to this song again and try to take out my expectations.
I will say this Tina can not continue with covers she is totally done with copycat syndrome and that is a very good thing.Tina is now in a band that means the perspective is going for the band not Tina solo show.If anyone being in a band think it is easy they are never going to make it.most so called wannabies reacting to something they do not understand will never understand because you are reacting in to something that makes no sence at all for you.Anyone that are creating something together will understand how hard it is compromising is hard for everyone and that is why the success is 1/1000 or less at best.hard work and dedication is what is going to make it or break it.On to Tinas new playstyle she is absolutley flawless and it takes a lot of nerve to bring out a new creative approach considering the pressure she has felt over doing this I think se is absolutley on the right path and I just stunned to watch her and exited to continue to follow her where ever she goes.Tina forever just keep going do not care or listen to the untuchable they are to stupit to get what you are all about.Tina fan forever just go girl.
I expected more from Tina..
Thanks for the heads up.
Not my kind of band but really, i guess I shouldn’t have had ANY expectations about her original music since she has only performed classics individually up until now
I’m surprised it’s not more of a prog metal or symphonic metal. But I don’t her or what her music preferences are
Glad to see her back at it regardless
We always saw her soloing with a back track. Those days are gone, she is a band now and someone else is up front. I think there will more to come I hope. Yes it does sound like they recorded without much of a bassist. So I would like to hear more bass in the song. but over all its nice to see her back, and in a band, and giving it a go.
I agree with you 100% Alex
All that i care about is that she is back ... we are going to see sooner or later her talent to blossom !
She's in the band, it's not about her and only her
Wtf. Best female guitarist of all time. And we hear Grunge
She conciously made the decision to join a band and let THEM shine. She has done the shred stuff with herself in the spotlight for years. It was time to switch things up
I agree with you bro, I was expecting more from her..sadly
Finally she is doing music! I wish her all the best!
Maybe I'm just a Philistine, but when you have one of the world's great guitarists, I would've hoped (and expected) the guitar to be the focus. At the very least, I wished the singer would shut up for longer. I don't care what he had to say... I wanted to hear Tina's guitar playing!
When I was young, we had people like Ritchie Blackmore forming bands to showcase their talents; and others with 'star guitarists' like Gilmore, Page, Knopfler, Van Halen... All of whom knew what we wanted she gave it to us. She's why we all turned up for the premiere, after all.
There's nothing particularly wrong with the song. It just shouldn't have been the first release.
She's in a band. She's playing. Be happy.
Every movement is intentional and precise.
Reminds me of her Master of Puppets, and other, covers. Every note is picked up and dropped precisely where she wants it.
Hi Alex, I'm just happy she's still around and I hope she is happy whatever she decides to do. Cheers man.
I can understand where you come from but at the same time, the TinaS we all watched as she learned and was growing up was playing everyone else's solo's. So with that in mind, I personally wasn't sure what to expect, but I am not surprised by the solo she played because it was her own and not someone else's.
I agree with some of what. you are saying... More early 1990's grunge sound to me. Yes I would have loved more of her talent on a solo, Lets see what the rest of the album brings us.
Tina's so talented and has such a deep well of that talent, techniques, and material to draw from. I think the song is ok. I also think the bass, drums, and vocals are absolutely holding her down. I'm also not sure if it was the way things were mic'd, the inexperience of the recording engineer, or if the person doing the final mix/mastering was having an off month .. but there's *so* little dynamics in the recording. A lot of the guitar was unnecessarily masked. The drums were pretty much a single intensity and uninspired. The bass .. meh. Tina can do SO much better!
All that said, if she's healthy & happy, then that's the most important thing and I wish her nothing but the best!
Another thought. The most popular songs are ones new musicians can play. It occurs to me that they may reveal her genius over time to create buzz. And she may not want to overshadow the group immediately. And where is the bass player? Call Tal Wilkenfeld!
"I wander like I'm nobody, hiding what is best in me ..."
Actually, I can relate to the ethos of this tune as the mother of a couple of kids (musicians actually) of the same age, finding their way in this messed-up global economy, while trying to be true to themselves. This is a fabulous tune. I can so relate. I do wonder where the rhythm guitarist and bassist are, however. As shown it's a three piece band, generating a really big sound.
She recorded the original stems herself, all the instruments, including the melody line for the vocals. The layered guitars are all hers. There is a credited bass player in this song, but still they are looking for a suitable bass player. There are multiple things very well thought and executed. People were waiting for a shred fest. Maybe Alex could react to One Of Us or Gravity, they both have mini solos. Tina has shorts of this solos in her channel.
You may say this song is linear at first blush. I've listened to this song several times and I say this song is LAYERED...and that's down to production values. Granted...not as 'in your face' explosive as Tina S's Moonlight Sonota cover, but there are 'flashes' of Tina's lightening fast picking skills layered in this song. And don't forget that Tina S is not soloing here, but in a band. I'd bet as other songs are released, Tina S will be featured with longer solo runs...just saying.
Production kills music.
@@thedryparn1279 it can absolutely enhance it if done right like in this case
Great song! She grew a lot!!!
I really think she was holding back so as to not overwhelm the song with a malmsteem like solos
Sounded very 30 Seconds to Mars like.
This is also a difficult situation for her, she plays too much in the vordergund, the boys become the Stafasche. Without her, the boys would not have become so famous now and they all know that, including Tina. Is a lot of pressure on Tina now yes, because many expect a continuation of 7 years ago. What she does not want to fulfill. This is now the new Tina, she does her thing now and not the vielleich yes many want.
The Bassit stands in the credits but is probably not a full member.
Achja, die Jungs kommen aus Deutschland ;)
Alex we all know what she can do. Let’s give her some space to do what she wants to do and follow her OWN direction. It’s not all about what we expect her to do. She’s not a circus act!
It was like watching Beethoven play chopsticks. The song was ok , but you have someone like Tina ffs build the band around her talent.
When she is happy i am happy. Tina do what you want i am glad that you are around.
I'm turning 62 next month. Been listening to rock music since the 60's. Tina and her band kick ass. If your vaunted Metallica recorded this it would be on the air 24/7. This song beats the hell out of most of the stuff that passes for rock music these days.
I respect your opinion but no Metallica would never do a song like this and I would rip them if they did. This is horrible commercial safe pop music at best nothing stands out..unfortunately not even Tina. It is good to see her back in the music scene but I wish it hit a bit harder than this.
It's just not my type of music and when you watch someone like Tina shred the genre you love and she comes back with this it's a bit of a letdown. I am sure she will pick up a decent batch of new followers to add to her already existing fans.
@@OzzyFan80 could you then name THE song today that you consider is the opposite of what you've just described ... One only song that is at the top of the top, on the Everest summit. I am curious ... (and please, not the cr.. song from Metallica's last album that they have just released with a solo that a 3 y/o kid could play ...)
@@RomainG6409 Music is more than just solo after solo after solo. I don't like the vocals or the style of the music so in my opinion I hate it.

I don't listen to anything from this current era or the early 2000's Arch Enemy is the newest band for me and they have been around forever.
This genre that Tina is into is not my cup of tea at all I despise this type of music it is extremly commercial just like a lot of newer Metallica. I only listen to Ride the Lightning,Master of Puppets and Justice just those three.
I loved Tina as a young kid for the crazy covers but she is a musician and looks more happy doing this. As a listener I don't like it it's not my type it's very generic.
The one thing I won't do is just because of her previous success is say I like a song just because she has returned to the scene.
@@OzzyFan80 she said that she conciously wrote these songs without the flashy parts. She has done that for years. They are still great. Catchy, lots of interesting layers etc. She should follow her desire and not bow to the fact that she is known for shredding and think she has to shred all the time. A really great musician can always let the band shine. And thats exactly what she did here
@@metalpuppet5798 I agree with you and your points are correct. It doesn't change the fact that the music she and her band are making is not to my liking it just isn't.
I don't care who the musician is if I don't like it I don't like it. I don't like the singers voice and the style of the music is just to mellow for me it very pop rock in my opinion.
It isn't about the best musician letting the band shine when the band is dull and uninspiring to the listener. It's ok for someone to not like her music.
This is new art for her she still great she can do any kind of style of music every she dose is great appreciate she back !
There is a lot of pressure from peopIe cause of Tina's virtuoso on guitar but y'all gotta understand that that is what she is known for not as a composer. I was also thinking where the bassist too...but I don't know didly about music..I think Tina also played bass too in studio. They probably could not find a bassist they could jive with.
I get it, you came to hear Tina shred. A good song don't always need that, we all know what she can do. It's an original song and she's still growing in that area, give her time.
I was thinking the same thing. It looks like a three man band. It does sound like there's a bass though.
I hope this opens doors for her, but she deserves much more than this. She is a super star. I am so glad she is back making music if this is just her coming back, I am ok with it, but I expect a lot more down the road. Welcome back Tina!
I've loved watching Tina over the last few years and was pretty pumped to learn about this.
Yea it's probably not what people expected. I've listened to it a few times and like it more each time.
I'm just damn happy that Tina is back and pretty excited to see what she has coming.
I'm excited to see what she comes up with next. We all know she's amazingly talented. I'm enjoying what I've heard so far. Can't wait to hear more.
Thanks Alex, I completely agree.
I suspect there are a lot of other 'reactors' that have recorded a video like this but decided not to publish it.
I hope she finds a place to let her guitar work shine again.
Thats not the point. SHE made the concious decision to have these songs be less flashy. She made a post about that. Its not the band holding her back or some shit like that. Its simply that she has done the shredding stuff for years and it is time for her to try something else and let the band shine as a whole. The songs are catchy. The layering is great.
That song was pretty awesome, she was shredding
i felt the same way
i hope that the band gives tina more exposure in their future releases
if they don't, if i were her, i would quit lol
she deserves so much recognition
But she’s doing what she wants to do, and expresses herself perfectly.
More exposure?? She was a solid 85% of that song... WTH were you listening to??
The band isnt holding her back in any way. It was in fact her very own decision to make that band and to write the songs the way they were written. She posted about that on Facebook. She has done the flashy stuff where she was constantly in the spotlight for years. It was simply time for her to try something new by joining a band and letting THEM shine.
I think we have to stop putting her on a pedestal. She has a crazy talent but she's still young in the profession. She joins a group that makes its own compositions and not covers. The place she will find in this group and the experiences she will develop will be interesting. She's only human after all, give her time, practice makes perfect !
She is back doing her own stuf, writing her own songs. She has proven to be a great guitarist. Now she want to do what she likes, play her own songs.
Its an ok song but its kinda like when you have a Ferrari in the garage and you decide to drive the Honda
The great news is that Tins is alive and well. I hope such an incredible guitarist ultimately finds a better place to reside with than a 1990 grunge band doing their version of Nickelback’s “ How You Remind Me”.
First of all this sounds absolutely nothing like Nickelback. Secondly it was her personal concious decision to make this band and to write the songs the way they are. She posted about that on Facebook. She did the shredding thing where she was constantly in the spotlight for years. It was simply time for her to change things up, join a band and actually let that band shine without constantly forcing herself into everyones faces.
Great song.
The whole song is a solo by Tina S, as she is the only guitarist in the band.
I just met the "Tina's case" on RUclips today and I did listen to the new song and ask myself "wtf?!! I just saw the dragon force guitarist inviting her to play together in Dragon's show two years ago, and now that just regular song"
AlexN. I've been following Tina S. for years and after hearing this new song I was disappointed. Seems she went to a new sound and more youthful trend. Definitely not my style. It seems she suppressed her talent here. Not trying to judge or be mean but I too expected more.
She can do more , i agree
I'm in shock to
My like for your honesty. Major disappointment, indeed. Everyone seems to be very supportive and nice, full of praises in the comment section under her video. I am similar, this needs to be said, it feels like John Petrucci all of the sudden decided he's going to play keyboards in a Hip Hop band...
Tina is now a grown woman who plays whatever she wants. For us that means: accept or ignore
@@volkerj.3455 let's hope it's just a phase and she's still searching her own voice and expression.. :)
