    Hey, I'm Cameron! I'm a school bus driver and have been a school bus enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and that's the main focus of my channel! I've been making school bus videos for over 10 years, and I have been making videos on all sorts of topics pertaining to school buses - my thoughts on new bus releases, showing off my personal school bus memorabilia collection, giving history on specific buses, showing off real life school buses, and everything else in between. Whether you're a fellow enthusiast, a driver, or just happened to stumble across my videos, I'd love to have you join me!

    That triton is a beast of an engine. You gotta ask your district if you can put a tune on that engine!

    Bluebirds are what I would use considering I grew up on them in 2010-2018.

    Visions are the best handling, most tank like imo. I drove a 2022 7.3 v8 birdy for four years. I now drive motor coach, 45ft big ole things. But I'll always miss my beast bird. And I'll say this in the most honest way possible....
    The Godzilla blows the triton away 3x over. Swear on my life.

    My girlfriend owns a 1997 Blue Bird Wander Lodge ten speed stick shift pusher 45 footer. The motorhome is based on whatever the 45 school bus model and in California, there could be any number of operating cab configurations with both foot controlled turn signals as well as the manual signal on the tree. I rode a Blue Bird 35 foot school bus with a CAT diesel motor block powering the bus in the back (flat front car body style) 1988 model . I later rode in a 1993 conventional model, probably a vision also a 35 footer but a wheelchair equipped model. I liked the way the pusher model accelerated better than the conventional (which had a Detroit Diesel 8V93 motor block rather than the. 3208 Caterpillar 8V87 motor block I also rode a Carpenter conventional with a Detroit 8V91 motor under the hood. Carpenter tends to have their hoods up too high creating blind spots especially on the right sides of their buses. That is where Blue Bird really excels here with their use of a more aerodynamic sloped hoods as you mentioned. You j as be the best vision out the front on a float front Blue Bird with a tear end motor block. Does your school district have any pusher models?

    I drive city buses for a living. We have both Diesel and gas buses. Our gas buses are 2018 ElDorado on F550 chassis. And they have the triton V10. They’re not the best quality buses but they are very quick.

    So I’m a sub bus driver for the district I work for and most of what I drive are mostly Thomas C2s, however we also have Blue bird visions, I find that the C2s have better visibility than the visions, and I’ve learned how to be comfortable driving the visions, each type of bus has its different quirks; the crazy part for me is I’ve driven everything from the 2002 Thomas fs65 sub bus to the 2021 Thomas C2 I haven’t had to drive any of the brand new visions or C2s yet

    I hear you, Cameron! My route bus is a 2014 CE with the Maxxforce DT, and I think of myself as an International fanboy. One day, I was assigned a Vision for an athletic trip. I was excited as I had never driven one and heard mixed things about it! It was great overall, but some things could be improved. After finally adjusting the wheel to my preference, I still found the steering position could have been more comfortable, and the amount of driver's storage was on the small side. It definitely feels the bus-like to me, which I like. The visibility is so/so. It isn't bad by any means, but it doesn't feel as open or easy to see out of as my CE, and definitely not a C2. I want to drive a Gasser or CNG Vision to see how the power is compared to our ISB-powered one.

    I think I would like gas or propane over diesel for winter cold starts. I've never driven anything that needs a CDL or powered by diesel or propane.

    I completely understand. This past school year was my first year in a 2018 Vision and I fell in love with them. My first bus was an 07 CE that they put a Cummins in and a 2009 C2 was my second bus. The vision has been my favorite so far.

    I am also a full time driver! They blessed me with a 2022 C2 at first and it may or may not have completely failed inspection... They then gave me a 2023 Vision Diesel for a week or so while I was waiting for a EFX to come in, I couldn't be put in the vision full time because I have 75-80 kids on one of my routes and our Visions are 72 pax buses, that wouldn't work for me and my EFX is a 90 pax bus because it's also a trip bus. They're giving me a refreshed C2 when we come back in August because the drivers that have been in a 2018 C2 are getting the EFX buses that came in during March. I like the switches on the Vision as well. I absolutely HATE the angle of the parking brake steering wheel and gauge cluster. I prefer my EFX in every way except for the gauge cluster location. Can't help but think what the hell was Thomas thinking with that gauge cluster location. I have 260hp in my bus and its extremely good on hills and getting on the highway, and especially how the main controls are on my right with the less relevant ones on my left. I like that it doesn't have the light check function because what if the switch itself is broken? Another thing that the EFX really rocks on is the AC. You get cold air legit to your face from the front AC. It is insanely cold too and it doesn't leak unlike on the other buses (even the ones with factory AC) and that is really nice because I don't have water all over the place and it sucks when that happens.

    • @arandomperson8
      @arandomperson8 4 часа назад

      To add on: I've driven a variant of almost every bus we have from a 1997 TC2K all the way up to a 2025 EFX.
