    I love that you write everything on the board before explaining. So before I start watching the videos I copy the writings first and just add the comments you say and explain.

    This one starts to get fun. Working out the coin tosses and illustrating the link to binomial expansion and Pascal's Triangle drives it home.

    The 1-4-6-4-1 is the ratio of a Heterozygote X Heterozygote cross, for a continuous trait. I keep seeing this basic probability in my genetics class

      We have some videos on linar regression in our financial mathematics section, but we have not yet done a full coverage of that topic. That would a good one to work on.

    I really don't understand how you count and came up the probability of 4H, 2T using the Pascall's triangle, i.e. How do I know that the nr 1 before 6 is corresponding 6 Heads, nr sex 5heads and 15 correspond 4H and 2T?
    How did you come up with that plz?

  • @samanthapikus3178

    Hi I never did bionomial expansions at school and have now idea how you derived the patterns. Would you mind explaining how you get (a+b)3 = a3 + 3a2b+3ab2+1b3

    • @motivationformuslims1214
      @motivationformuslims1214 6 лет назад +2

      you start with the highest power as the power of the first variable ( a ). Then, you keep decreasing the power of the first variable ( a ) and keep increasing the power of the second variable ( b ). So a goes from 3 to 2 to 1 to 0, while at the same time, b goes from 0 to 1 to 2 to 3.

    • @motivationformuslims1214

      The constants are obtained from the triangle by adding the previous two numbers as explained in the video.

    how do you know how to calculate different combinations for coins im so lost how you got 5 combination on 4 coins

    • @MichelvanBiezen
      @MichelvanBiezen  7 лет назад +1

      Note the "........." which implies that the pattern continues. There are 16 combinations for 4 coins.

  • @carolinaestrada3509
