- In 1937, Amelia Earhart was about to embark on a record-setting flight around the world. In her final moments, she took her last photograph and set off from a Burbank, California airstrip, captured in recently recovered home movie footage.

Umm Howard Hughes took the easy path! What a cop out, Amelia’s route was orders of magnitude more difficult.
yeah , it looked like Howard Hughes just made a small circle . I wouldnt consider it a trip around the world unless it crosses the Pacific .
YEAH
I’d say he had the better choice since he lived 😂
@@rousefireAmelia's "solo" flight was with two men
@ianmeadows8719 that was the freindship flight.. solo means 1 she went by her self on the second trip.
What a brave lady.RIP.
This was a lady with real class, a heroine. I'd strongly recommend Fred Groener's book 'The Search for Amelia'. Fred spent years researching the mystery, and despite being largely stonewalled by departments of government, his conclusions are very convincing. Some libraries have it.
Yes, I agree.I think Mr.Garner's findings are most probably, the Best information that will be ever" realized."Correction: Goener's.
Her last words were "Don't look for me, look for my luggage!". -Red Buttons.
Que significa esto? Por favor.
she was so beautiful
A WW2 Bomber pilot was operating on the West Coast of Papua New Guinea. In the area, he was based he discovered a wreck of a Lockheed 12A
in dense bush. It had been there for a long time. The pilot removed an engine ID plate and on returning to Australia discovered it was a perfect match to one of Earhart's engines. The pilot is still alive today and has launched 2 expeditions and a third following to find the wreck. It is right on the west coast of PNG. It means if it is Earhart's aircraft. They turned around and flew the trackback to Borneo.
What is the pilot’s name?
Amelia was having dinner with the head of Guinea Airways before they took off while Fred was drinking with the local pilots …both looking for local information
Lockheed 10, 14, and German built ‘Junkers’ all used the Pratt&Whitney Hornet/Wasp 500-600Hp engines …and all those planes were similar size and shape while being designed differently…they were all freight work horses
Guinea Airways held the freight records using those planes and wrecks were inevitable and not all of the planes were properly accounted for
So while it’s highly likely they had her repair tag from a refurbished part on the after market, on a plane the same size and shape as hers known for operating in that area that subsequently crashed, it’s not likely that she returned to crash in the jungle …so it’s not likely her plane …it’s likely a Guinea Airways plane that had one of her parts and repair tags
It was a cool story though and a great rabbit hole looking up the New Guinea gold rush freight history
Wasn't interested in Mr. Howard Hughes' story tbh.
I L O V E Amelia Earhart, Now that is a strong courageous woman !
The Disabled Gamer someone did it before her
@Landen - That might be the stupidest thing anyone has ever said. The original poster was talking about courage. Have you flown the unbelievably challenging route that AE attempted? Let's see you try to find Howland Island with 1930's technology and broken radio communications.
I never knew about the world flight of Howard Hughes. He must have had business connections in the Soviet Union. A much less difficult route than the flight of Earhart and Noonan in 1937.
Was this shot in color, or colorized afterward ?
Afterwards.
It seems that Howard Hughes took the shortest road by flying over Russia then the Arctic. Isn't that cheating just to get the world record?
You can either live an Average Normal Life Or You Can Push Yourself Even If You Die You go Out A Legend Because You Did It You Did What So Many Couldn't Even Brave To Do You Are A Legend Amelia Earhart if You can hear us We all wish You completed Your Journey but just know Your Bravery and Legacy Will never be forgotten Rest In Peace.
Ameila went around the world’s waistline. Huges popped off popular cities not in the Pacific.
I feel like he was jealous of her success and sabotage her plane
omggg
I am sure it did not end well.. In those days I don't think she even had a raft on the plane in case she had to ditch.. The ocean will eat you alive..
Thet huy took the shortest road
She was an amazing woman she was from Achison, Kansas U'm from Nebraska
I know, remember Roanoke? Yeah in a journal entry guess what was wrote? Croatoan! BOOOOM! ya see she was flying over that area of the Bermuda Triangle and close to that was Roanoke mhm that’s right conspiracy theories in the chat time
I think the guy after her sabotage her plane so that he can finish the job.
Why was everything coloured?
The Restoration of Dr Who what you don’t like black people?
I subscribe and like the video👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😺
Cool
Sad thing is she almost made it.
What an absolute boss
She should have used the Gleason Map instead of a globe. RUclips "The Global Lie"
It was the aliens bro my great grandpa worked for the fbi and helped the aliens do it search up Howard Stone he is a alien in disguise
Misleading title.
Scot Farmer terribly so. Anything for views, it seems.
Only 12 US Gallons of fuel left after missing Howland Island......
Is that about 45 minutes of fuel ?
"666k subs"
Just use google gps. Why didn’t she?
bruh there was NO google gps it was 1937
@@pee6119 yes there was lol
They ran out of fuel, ditched and the plane sank, they downed, mystery solved.

While black and white footage is not optimal, this heavily colored film-mod looks terrible, in my opinion. I wish we could end this "remastered" trend that pollutes video these days.
But it can look amazing,if done well
Arc some parts look nice but the darker shots are horrible. I wish they'd just do debris clean up and restoration instead of colour.
The Restoration of Dr Who agreed
Totally withya on that. I've only ever seen Earhart in black and white. There are no known color pictures of her, so I'm used to the grayscale, and I woulda been fine with it here too. The colorization just makes it un-authentic somehow.
She died on Saipan in 1944 executed by the Japanese.
There isn’t any evidence for that theory
@@CrunchyNapkins Well if you say so I guess there is none. However in the real world there is a mountain of evidence of what happened to her. The US Government has wanted to cover the facts and thus the facts are denied. They must keep their secrets you know. PS I know most of the story having lived on Saipan but we will let you pretend it is a mystery.
@@CrunchyNapkins hahaha my post was removed. it is a Government secret what happened to her. Guess they will not permit the facts from coming out.
@@CrunchyNapkins hahaha I have been blocked twice now.
@@CrunchyNapkins only 200 eyewitnesses and several military guys.
She was abducted
The world flight was in 1937, not 1942.
Classic misogynistic case🙄
