  • Rigging a crab can be tricky, in this video I run through a little secrete trick I like to use.
    At the end there is a picture of an awesome cracker one of my clients caught recently. That video is coming soon.
    What bait demo or video should I do next?

    Hi Duvan, excellent content and thank you for sharing. You are obviously using this setup in foul grounds hoping to not get snagged as often. Do you find this setup more effective than a fixed trace with short sinker and hook snoods of say 25-30 cm? Are you joining your braid mainline to the 25 cm hook snood and using the knot as a stopper for the sliding sinker? How long do you make the sinker snood? I am keen to try this out for general rocky fishing to stop donating so much tackle...

      It's to help get snagged less but also so the fish feeds better. When snagged on a fixed trace they sometimes drop the bait. But on the slide bait they have feeding time and them they on by that time and pull the sinker loos or break it.
      I join my braid to a braided leader of 120 or 150lb then tie that to the trace

    Hi Duvan, may sound like an obvious ? to some but I'm still learning. What I need to know is how do you tie your sinker line when you refer to sliding. What size and what type.
    Also if one does get hooked onto the rocks what's the best way to to get unhooked, in the hope of saving the complete rig.
    And lastly what's the alternative to crab for the same target species.

      Hi, never a bad question mate.
      I use a lighter sinker line and sarcafise my sinker, so when the lead gets snagged i break the sinker line and still save the rest of the rig. That is the best way, to get unstuck it sometimes helps, giving it a pull and then taking a few steps foward and giving some slack line, sometimes it comes loose then.
      For these fish i use 6oz bottle sinker, another bait you can use is armidilo or saddle back or Red bait

      @DuvanvanBreda  6 лет назад +2

      Hi Adriel, shot for the comment!! originally wanted to, but im not sure how effective the rig will work. it might empede on the effectiveness of the circle hook.
      but ill test it, if i like it, ill show you guys a video.
