The problem with NBC Saturday Nights was that it was no longer a powerhouse after The Golden Girls left NBC (moved to CBS to become THe Golden Palace without Bea Arthur)
Yes, it was a good show, but the problem with Out All Night was that they went through too many time changes and plus, NBC wasn't doing to well in the sitcom department NBC only had 5 sitcoms in the Nielsen Ratings Top 30: Wings, Seinfeld (before moving to Cheers' old time slot of Thursday Night 9/8 Central the following season), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which cracked the Top 20, Blossom which cracked the Top 30 (Season 3 was the only time they did that) and NBC only had 1 show in the Top 10 and that was the final season of Cheers abc had 6 sitcoms in the Top 30: Roseanne, Home Improvement, Coach, Full House (which was in the Top 10 fr the 2nd straight season) Hangin' with Mr. Cooper (their only season in the Top 20) and The Jackie Thomas Show NBC was also in 3rd place in Prime Time with abc in 2nd place and CBS was once again, #1 on Prime Time
At this point, Vivica had already been on a soap opera called Generations, Morris had been in Boyz in the Hood, Patti had already played Dwayne Wayne's (Kadeem Hardison) mama on A Different World for more than 3 seasons, etc.
Kadeem Hardison & Dawnn Lewis worked together on both A Different World and the film I'm Gonna Git You Sucka with Keenen Ivory Wayans and Damon Wayans and Kadeem and Duane Martin worked together in the film White Men Can't Jump
It came on too late and I think it was more fitted for a Fox show.I think they were tryna replace Amen and 227 bcuz those had run its course but things were changing in tv and TV channels
Show had potential but NBC probably didn't know what do with it. I remember they put it on a bad night for a sitcom. A show like this would have done better on FOX, or a UPN or WB. I remember NY undercover on FOX also similarly featured a lot of musical cameos.
@@ben_reaper Yes, Andy and then wife Susan and before Fresh Prince, Andy Co-Created the NBC Comedy Day By Day along with the late Gary David Goldberg also, during the 92/93 season, Andy & Susan were the Executive Consultants for Fresh Prince and Winifred Hervey was the Executive Producer of Fresh Prince from 1991-1993 and that was when NBC Entertainment President Warren Littlefield wanted the show to make changes to improve in the ratings....and it worked

All the greats started on these pilots first 🔥 🔥 🔥
this is my first time seeing this show and wow! so good. I've been binging all night. I also love all the musical guests they have

A young Mary J Blige 🔥🔥🔥
More like a "Young" version of everyone.
Morris Chestnut, Duane Martin, Vivica Fox, Mari Morrow, Kadeem Hardison to name a few.
Loving seeing these young stars before all their other movies and shows

I never seen Morris this hype lol but damn Vivica was so fine back then. I forgot about this show. Wish it could've last longer..
MJB has come such a long way since this episode aired.
She certainly has.
❤This show was dope.lm binge watching. And the guest singers A+❤
Mari Morrow🔥❤️🔥
I wish these gems could be remastered. These were/are some great shows!
Thx for posting them.
Not only did Vidal lose his crush to Dwayne Wayne, but the Fresh Prince was married to her in "Independence Day."
This show was good, shocked it didn't work?
Three guesses...
It came on too late and I think it was more fitted for a Fox show.I think they were tryna replace Amen and 227 bcuz those had run its course but things were changing in tv and TV channels
NBC, viewership was very low on this show it started big and ratings dipped over that year
Show had potential but NBC probably didn't know what do with it. I remember they put it on a bad night for a sitcom. A show like this would have done better on FOX, or a UPN or WB. I remember NY undercover on FOX also similarly featured a lot of musical cameos.
Oversaturation is one, there were just way too many good shows during that period and not enough slots
That crazy how the son and mother is playing in this show .. they also play son and mother on the show called “ different world “
Who's the son and who's the mother?
@@timbrown5576Pattie Labelle played the friend’s (Davone) mom in the show “a different world”
@@msdesoto05 Ok, I remember now. Thank you.
Yep, and Kadeem Hardison and Duane Martin both played in White Men Can’t Jump
His name was Dwayne Wayne. Patti's name was Adele Wayne.
Loved this show!!!
Dwaye wayne was called Chipmunk by patti who played his mom
LA didn’t need 2 fresh princes 😅 this shoulda been based in New York .
I was thinking the same thing.
this show had potential I wonder why they cancelled it
Remember Patti was his mom on A Different World
You can tell Duane studied will smith fresh prince.
Yep to a T. But to his credit it's the best Will Smith Fresh Prince impersonation I've seen
They were best friends
and andy borowitz created both shows so that adds to it a bit
The same way he studied his friend in this episode.

Dione Warwick ain’t know what to do 😂 she just stood there and watched the show like everybody else in the crowd
You mean Patti LaBelle?
@@sherenay3109 no
How many failed shows have Duane martin and Vivica A Fox been apart of.
Probably because it didn't get enough ratings
Am Kenyan but i enjoy this foreign shows.does that make me weird?
Look at auntie Monet
19:51 😂😂😂😂
She meant to say kevin hart
Ricky meets illina cousin so Morris chestnut and Vivia k Foxx do some work before
