He is right on the money. I used these methods. And they work. My credit scores are all in the 700s. I overcame 2 foreclosures, collections, defaults and late payments. Applied knowledge is power.
How long did it take? They never reported to the bureaus as charge offs?

@@Ranasha12 he just said in the last year? So a year it took. Lol. Same with me. I have 20K credit cards. I only spend it on Netflix and pay it off each month. That boosted my score. And every 6 months I apply for a credit card and ask for a credit increase

This guy is nothing but an instructor on how to steal. He says these collection agencies "harass" the debtor with phone calls. Well, of course they do! You are a deadbeat and you owe someone money and you refuse to pay. I'd like to see how this tattooed thief would react if someone owed him money and they refused to repay. I submit that he would not be too happy and would do whatever it took to get his scratch back. Lowlife.

I did collection for Chase Bank back in the day and this dude is 100%. Once you get a mark on your credit report from a collection DONT PAY THE DEBT you are wasting your time...damage is already done. All you can really do is try to establish more good credit to over shadow your bad credit. Yes he is right about disputing credit reports as well. A lot of collect agencies don't keep good records and most of them do not have time to sit and go through a credit dispute so it gets removed from your report if they don't respond in 30 days. It's all a game really.... every one falls down on their luck and hit hard times the collection agencies are master's at taking total advantage of that situation...they are nothing more than predictors. My score is over 730 and I have had things sent to collections before you just have to know how to play the game.
Man get outta hear with this don't pay it again this is just another irrelevancy to a mixture of variations that deal with credit entirely understand car/loan pay late never goes away and it's no way you can go back and pay an old car note or anything late that gains a late fee yes that damage is done but for you to then add don't pay it like it's avail is ridiculous 100% and you again are just another part of this mixed up info in the world just tell the truth it's easier late car pay is put on credit reports each month and it's there forever you can't remove it but it doesn't effect you long term speak on debt that can be removed how? By paying it of course the 1's your able to pay
Plus the only way you could even try to get late car pay off your credit is to well was to write that head person in that office that even is who deals with sending late pays to your credit and they have a chance of doing this 2nd to none you all just talk bull 💩 like your in a church preaching

So when I dispute something on my credit that is in collections, what should be the reason for the dispute, even if Ik it belongs to me???
I sent letters to the creditors asking them to settle for half of what was owed, with the understanding that the items would be removed from my credit report. It was agreed upon and some of them removed the items before I even mailed in the payment. (Your wording in your letter is very crucial to this). Took about 3-4 months to clean things up. Purchased a home a month later.

When you settle a debt for less make sure you ask them to send you something in writing ✍️ that they will remove from your credit. If they refuse don’t pay simple 🤷🏾♂️

I thought by paying off my collection debt thinking it was going to be helpful towards my score and my score dropped approximately 100 points after spending a year and half of building it up. Now I’m back to square one. I stopped paying off my collection debt. I wish I saw this sooner.
I did the same thing but luckily my score didn't drop. But I sure could have put that money towards another new loan I have to help pay it down.

Maybe everyone has different experiences but my credit score jumped tremendously after settling my account that was in collections. I feel financially free being debt free.

Same here. It was shocking to me to see so much difference in my approval odds after I paid off the debts. I only ever had 1 credit card when I was around 19 years old.
Hadn't had one over 20 years until I decided to be responsible and take care of my debts. I will admit I was a very irresponsible person. I now have 3 credit cards and only before I refuse to accept anymore.

@@oceanseastar1 terrible interest rates, I had one that had a 500% interest. You read that right. I took a $1000 loan and had a 12 payments "plan". Had i drug out the loan i would have paid about $3200. I caught a break at work and was able to pay it off quick. Hope this helps.

First, ask them to verify the debt. Do they have the document you signed to say you agreed to the debt? You can settle with debt collectors, BUT ONLY if you get them to list it as "PAID AS AGREED" or "PAID IN FULL" on your credit report. Make sure you get it in writing BEFORE you pay so you can dispute it with the credit bureaus if needed.

this is so true. when i started checking my credit report often i was at 498. then i started disputing things and now it is at 512. it works. My credit score is still not high enough but it is going up slowly and that is better than it not going up at all.

It’s ok to settle, just at the time you agree to pay the settlement offer, ask the collection agency to remove the debt entirely from your credit report and send you a letter agreeing to do so. Then you follow up with the credit bureau.
If they lie/renege own their word (which I’ve never experienced) then you can sue them, but collectors don’t want all those extra problems

I sure wish I would have seen your RUclips video back in January 2020 when I started paying off old debts that had been charged off!! It didn't raise my score at all like I was hoping for. All I did was put money into something that didn't help me or hurt me when I could have put that money towards my only 2 newer debts that I pay on. I will now be a faithful follower of yours as I'm trying to build my credit score!! Congratulations on everything you have accomplished in your life. Just so you know there is no statute of limitations on federal loans or student loans . They will take your tax refund

Yes they will. They did it to my wife for 2 years. She left college without "exiting" and the school kept taking the money, knowing she was no longer attending.

Car loans shopped within the same few days up to a couple of weeks. So it shouldn't devastate your credit. Its falls under you shopping for a car. You will see an initial drop for running it even once though. If you wait longer than the couple of weeks to run credit again it can trigger as a new credit check.

He's correct. He taught me a lot. If you pull your three major consumer reports, you will see soft inquiries from your car insurance, medical provider, ect.

Here's some advise ...pay on your damn student loan!!!
When you pay collection you have to tell them you want to pay to delete that way it’s removed from your credit report and not show $0 on your credit report.
That is correct, but if they are not willing to delete, as some may not be willing to do. This is where I recommend disputing the debt.
Will Roundtree what if you pay them and it shows on your credit report as $0 can you still dispute that bcs I’m in this situation?

In 2014 I voluntarily turned in a vehicle because of a need to prioritize medical bills. The hilarious part being that the car dealership wished me luck with my health complications as I dropped off the key fob & then sent me a letter stating I still owe them $7,500! I pray this does not eternally haunt me : /
Most collection agencies can never prove it has true custody of the debt it's attempting to collect on. Ask the CSR to provide proof of their connection to the debt. That usually ends the call.

One thing I know..if you don't pay off a bill from a school it can put a Hold on your credits to be released and applied to another school. I'm not talking about the loan..but money you have to pay out of pocket for a class that you did not pass..and the loan is not gonna cover the cost of the class.

When I settled my collection accounts it increased my credit score.
He is correct in what he is teaching. I improved my credit scores by applying the methods I learned from different resources online and all three of my scores are over 800. He is dropping 💎💎 💎 in one video. I only clicked on the video to see what he was talking about. The only thing I did differently was I disputed my debt online instead of writing letters.
That's great news! And thank you for your support! While you can dispute via online we always recommend disputing through the mail for numerous reasons. My credit repair agency sees tremendous results disputing through mail. Keep up the good work!!

So basically pay the debt collections off if you’re not even close to 5 years of avoiding them? So it’s like medical bills right? If you don’t pay them for 7 years it falls off?
I recommend disputing first, but if you do pay, request a deletion letter but most creditors will want you to pay in full in order to remove from report.

I settled an account and we negotiated to have it look as if it was paid in full. They promised to remove it and they did. Score went up about 24 points less than 30 days later. I paid using the cash app.

What are the right questions to ask when disputing , if you don’t claim any of your debt.
How can you be authenticated. They just ask your normal , name, address, phone and they say hey “ this is your debt” you owe such and such!
