This song really made me feel emotional. Starset is probably one of my favorite bands of all, and Kashmir was my dad's favorite song. In some days it will be one year since my father passed away. This song reminds me a lot to him, and I would really loved to show this to him. I wish STARSET would do covers of Downplay songs. They had some songs that I love but would be much better now since everyone has improved, including the guitarists

I got very lucky and managed to hear them play this in mid February 2020 in London right before everything got shut down. This helps me relive that experience, thank you uploader 🙌
Man you are lucky, not only is Starset my favorite band but Dustin is genuine and after talking to him several times by booking the smallest shows on the acoustic tours and VIP events I like him as a person not a celebrity. Recent shows have been to busy to talk to him other than to say hi. I'm the guy that hounded all the band to check out Smash Into Pieces and during the AE Acoustic tour because they have an eerily similar lore storyline and complimentary music style. I was shocked when they announced the tour and I got to see my favorite bands play together.
Starset and Smash Into Pieces have a similar message and incorporated it into a music, reading, and video experience where each piece skillfully links together for an experience worthy of a hit TV show that normally has credits a mile long. Both bands created the entire experience with a small dedicated group envisioning and working on each aspect simultaneously which is unheard of. This unique blending of my favorite type of music and movies and experiences that gave me a personal connection to their themes I dug into the lore and community.
I was surprised there weren't many crossover fans but noticed most people in the online Smash community where in Europe and most Starset in North America. Anyone who knew both bands or looked them up after I recommend was an instant fan and still haven't found someone who likes one but not the other. I think if they increase their collaborations in the future they will both increase exposure and fan base and wanted to pass my observations to Dustin and maybe he will notice the same band chemistry I did and some day we could see song collaborations and maybe even a Starset and Smash Universe crossover video. 😉
