Gunhild is a great singer and very talented multi-instrumentalist, and her bands are very good musicians. Idun Blome is a very good jazz singer.

I only discovered Gunhild and the Carling family last week, but I keep coming back to their videos - maybe it's because it's "happy music" that we need in these troubled times, or maybe it's because they're so talented :-)

I came here looking for something from Gundhil, and at the beginning, I was looking at the skinny girl on the side following tempo and thinking she was just there for show, and then she sang, and I was struck by just how sweet and natural was her singing, and became an instant fan!
You guys are the closest to have a time machine!
I like that Gunhild and crew always look so nice and festive. I assume her daughter looks so much like her and is sharing her talent too.
I am not sure that is her daughter but I'm not good at judging age. I have no idea her age.
When I was playing in Niagara Falls as a house band for tourists, I had a very long guitar strap made for me.
When my girlfriend, in Ottawa, came to visit I could put it on and dance with her playing guitar and touching.
After that, when she wasn't there, I'd be asked by a woman if she could be my slow dance for the night.
That was serious entertaining.
Even now, when I go to Niagara Falls, someone remembers me as the guitarist who danced with girls.
And yes, I can see myself dancing and playing here... and singing... if no-one else gets into it. I'm subscribed.

it takes a minute to put my lower jaw back in place after watching what looks like easy to do performances by you guys, imagining all the years of work it has taken to whip out this 4 minute treasure.

She is the only musician who captures the essence of the great Armstrong when she blows that trumpet! She is an absolute dynamo on stage and a most gracious and charming individual to meet!
