Ok guys, my Celtics OT question for you both. When it was tied and we had the advantage, should Tatum have driven to the net and gone for 2 and maybe a foul? Then if Siakam goes down and scores the 3, we’re only down by 1 and then you drive the net again for the win. Drive the net or risk the 3 ball for the win?
@jeffunknown9927 I complete agree that the 3 was a bad ball on Tatum's part. Especially with his recent success in getting to the hoop and finishing. I also wish we could have found a way to get the ball to White to tie the game at the end of OT, Brown was not hitting his shots that night, but I know it's hard to pick and choose when they were going to immediately foul, so you need to take what you can get. Just know White was like 5/5 from 3 at that point.
I say again, if you can’t play like a top PK team, stop giving so many penalties. 175 minutes total of penalty minutes for the Bruins and made a power play unit in the Maple Leafs that was struggling hard, score 3 goals on the Power Play. I hate to say it but it truly is time for Monty I think to go. He can’t seem to control this team or train them to be disciplined enough to stick to fundamentals and just play simple hockey. Truly a shame because despite the 65 win season + last year’s surprising performance, I don’t think he has done everything he could for this team. They are a pretty talented group in my opinion with some of the names they have, and I know they could be playing a lot better than this.
They are just a disaster right now, TrueMr.Quinn. It's obvious Montgomery has lost the room, but be a damn professional and give your best. They're a disaster in every facet of the game right now. 🤦
@ in the words of Jim Montgomery after the loss to Ottawa “I have no answers right now” … that statement alone should get any coach fired almost immediately, if not than definitely on the chopping block in the next couple of weeks. Disgraceful.
