@Whiskey0461 my wording may not have been the best admittedly, but if you had told me at the start of the season I’d get to game 6 of round 2, AND get to send the Leafs home in Game 7 OT I wouldn’t have been miserable. As a fan who expected nothing this season after our big trade deadline last year, I have come away better than I expected and got to watch some great hockey.

​@@OldBullAndYoungCalfit was definitely a mild success, considering the talent they lost. It does also feel like a bit of a lost opportunity, because when you have a hot goalie on a Playoff run, you just need marginal scoring to go with it, and you can usually win the Cup. Unfortunately they couldn't achieve this.

@TrueMr.Quinn1 So glad you're joining Team Green for the rest of the post season, welcome! It has been since 2008, similar to the Bruins they have had a ton of regular season success without getting the chip which is bittersweet of course as a fan year after year, this is the year they should win it. The Wolves are a tougher matchup on paper, but after watching them in their last series and in the first game against Dallas they are just so mentally young compared to Dallas. Kyrie and Doncic's composure, especially Kyrie's will be interesting to deal with, if the Wolves can battle back against Dallas and make the finals they will be the tougher matchup if they can keep their head. Biggest stat that stood out to me was Wolves taking 49 3 pointers, Mavericks taking 25. This should be swapped, the Wolves have the 3 best centers in this series and they refused to attack the paint, similarly, they have the 3 best centers and they were unable to force the Mavericks in to 3s. Wolves need to figure out what their strength is on offense against this smaller, defensively lacking Mavericks team quick. If they make it to us, the Wolves are a tougher matchup for our bigger wings. I will say about the Panthers, they played so well yesterday against the Rangers, it hurts to say, but I can tell the stage might be a bit too big for that Rangers team, it's a knee jerk reaction, but I would now be shocked if the Panthers don't win this series in 5 games. Shutting the rested, president's cup Rangers out in MSG is SUCH a statement.

Wolves definitely shot way too many 3’s, it’d be interesting to see how / if they change that at all, and they definitely need to do better at the free throw line. 11 for 18 at 61% that can’t happen, whether people want to admit to it or not, free throws can 100% change the course of a game, and adding on to what you said about being the bigger team, they can’t get out blocked 8 to 3 like that. It’s gonna be an interesting one for sure how both the wolves and the pacers react / adapt to their losses. As far as the Panthers go… man I’m gonna be honest I just need to see one ☝️. 9 times out of 10 I watch sports simply just to relax, and blow off steam, and once I see any of my teams win it all, I’m good for decades to come because at least I can say I was alive to see it happen. Alive being the key word there. I’ve seen the Heat won their first plus more, from there on I was good, not even mad they got knocked out by the Celtics, in football I like Green Bay, got to see them win with Farve and Rodgers, good there, saw the marlins win, good there, I’m happy about that. Panthers is just the last of the Mohicans for me. I see them win it all this year, hell I’ll pull for the Bruins to win next season, because I’ll never forget the moment they win it all, you know what I’m saying? That’s all it ever is to me, I see it happens once, and I’m good for decades to come not even concerned whether I see it again or not.

@@TrueMr.Quinn1 I think the Pacers are the more resilient team, they seem to be too immature to know any different. The speed in which they play is scary, the wolves barely won that Denver series after going up 2-0 on the road, will be interesting to see how they respond. You’re so right about FTs, if you outsize a team and they can just hack you and remove half of the points you’d get off an easy layup you’re in trouble. As for the Panthers, in our first series we joked with Leafs fans who was going to get trucked by the Panthers? During the Panthers series I thought who is going to get trucked by the Rangers? But I couldn’t have been more wrong. When the Bruins won Game 1 against the Panthers I knew it was a fluke, 5-1, but you’re out shot by almost double?! And sure enough it was a fluke. The Panthers were the better team on the scoreboard and in the box score last night. I think the Stars are unstoppable, but I have been wrong so many times before. It’s great relaxing hockey for me now at least!

To have White and Holiday as your 4th and 5th best player is insane. From a talent alone standpoint it's one of the most talented teams ever assembled in NBA history. So if the Olay to their potential, they will win the Championship. But you're right. The Wolves make me nervous. Because their top dog has something that our top dog doesn't, "a meanness to him, and he wants to destroy the other team and could care less about being friends with them. It's one of the many reasons why Larry Bird was so great. Terrible athlete, but super skilled, and he was coming for the other players souls!

@@OldBullAndYoungCalf it’s gonna be a hell of an NBA playoffs and hopefully an even better Finals, it’s always a shame when the better games happen in the playoffs and not the championship series. Yeah Dallas is scary, like I said, souly focused on the Rangers first, worry about the rest later, but if we make it pass the rangers, idk who I’d rather face in the Finals, cause you got Edmonton there with the top 4 guys of the playoffs as well and that’s just a whole lot of fire power.

@alex79suited they are built for speed and showed it this past game. The only 4 teams left are of course the healthiest teams. Wolves, Dallas, and Pacers are all basically 100%. Celtics need to get Porzingis back it seems.

@alez79suited! Good to see one of my favorites still hanging around. Game 2 is enormous. If the Celtics can win that, they just need to split in Indiana, and then this could be a gentleman's sweep. But that's easier said than done against this Pacer team. Although this Celtics group are Road Killers. 18-7 on the road in the last 3 Playoffs. Pretty good!

@@alex79suited truth be told, I just want the Celtics to get by the Pacers and be healthy. I'll take in 4 games, or 7. But it will likely be a long series judging by how skilled the Pacers are. Their offense is no joke.

You are right about Pasta, I’ve yet to see him take over a series, if anything he tends to disappear, the puck seems to bounce off his stick and not in a good way. The Bruins have a lot of decisions to make, do they pursue Elias Lindholm? Or do they wait until next year when Draisaitl is available next season?

Good series, right on all accounts. Swayman deserved better, we were out shot in a major way throughout the series. 7 too many men on the ice is unacceptable, averaged over .5 per game, Monty has to answer for that. Good luck going forward

Good series! Best of luck going forward, no doubt the panthers are the better team. I mentioned we needed to steal at least one game this series and we didn’t do that.

@andrewweltz, I feel like you didn't actually listen to our podcasts, and my son and I have said consistently that the Panthers are a better team, and when we did "cry" it was directed at our Bruins coaches and players.

@scatterthewinds3126 always dropping the TRUTH. We blew a few leads this season, Monty allowing a record # of Too Many Men on the ice. WE had the Hot Goalie in the playoffs and we managed to blow this thing. We will be doing a Bruins season wrap-up soon, discuss where to go from here. Would love some of your insights in to what the Bruins should do this offseason from a personnel standpoint.

@scatterthewind, definitely done things to fix, but I don't feel like we're talking a major rebuild, so hopefully they make the right moves in the off-season, and we're making a long Cup run next year!!!!!!! 😊

I have ALWAYS admitting Marchand is scumbag dirty. But at least Marchand ALWAYS gets suspended when he pulled his cheap crap. This trash bag Bennet got absolutely nothing and had an enormous goal on another cheapshot that affected the game greatly. He should NOT have been playing after that cowardly sucker punch.

@BCFilmss thanks for the comment! I wasn’t able to make it to the Post Game show with the Old Bull, but I called him after and if we won that game there’s no shot I’d say we deserve it. Fine that call was bad and should have been reversed, but do we deserve to win a game where the other team shoots double the shots.

@@OldBullAndYoungCalf exactly! Thanks for being unbiased haha. I’m not biased at all towards my team (most the time) and will accept when we make mistakes and when we get away with a call. Also, I’m not sure if you saw Bennett post game on the ice, but he said himself he wasn’t trying to hit him in the face and was just using his arms to brace for brads hit, he said that’s how he usually braces. Maybe it’s a mix of both, will never know 100%. (Not trying to sound biased lol).

One of my long-time stances of a misconception is people always say "the odd games in the series are the most important." That is completely wrong in my eyes. They even games are WAY more important because after the end of every single one of them the series is either tied and starting over or one team has a commanding two-game lead. There is no such thing as a one-game lead after an even series game. Obviously game 7 is the exception, but last night, if that goal was not allowed, and the Bruins hung on to win, we're talking about a 2-2 series, basically starting from scratch. Instead, the series is basically over. And yes ... I cry like a bitch constantly when my Boston teams let me down. 🤷🤣 I do hate when officiating is so bad that it forces me to cry about that, but I felt like the last couple games it's been justified.

@larrybrown, I don't think Florida has had one questionable call against them. Of course people will say I'm biased, but friends will actually get pissed at me when they're watching any Boston games with me because I will call out my own players and say, "what do you want the refs to do? Our guy fouled him!" Plenty of the Bruins penalties have been legit, but man, that goaltender interference call in game 3 where the Panther player 😮literally tackled our guy into their goalie, the non-reversal on the goal, missing the sucker punch on Marchand, and Ekblad throwing his head back drawing a gross interference call yesterday on our crappy defenseman Lindholm? And that's just off the top of my head. By the way, I would love to see your Stars hand the Panthers their @ss in the Finals!

@gordonlemon, nothing wrong with that! We love the hate here in Boston and we get why. Our teams had an 18 year run that has never been matched by any city in sports history. I would hate us too if I grew up somewhere else and would LOVE to see Boston fans miserable, my friend. 😂

@Scrap-dog, absolutely agree with you on so much of this comment. Panthers are a superior team. Far more talented than the Bruins. You guys deserve to move on because you are better, which is why it's frustrating as a fan to the lesser talented team. That's the beauty of hockey, right? Sometimes the lesser team can beat a more talented team on will and sheer effort alone. Not that Florida doesn't have that too, because they certainly do. I just think it's a shame that the calls are heavily slanted towards the much better team. Panthers are absolutely good enough to whoop the Bruins without these calls. But man, not reversing that goal was just lunacy to me. But the one thing I REALLY disagree with you on is Bennet didn't sucker punch Marchand. I feel like that is your hate for the rat talking, and make no mistake about it, he's a cheapshot rat who has deserved EVERY suspension he has gotten. He infuriates most Bruins fans. But come on, bud. Bennet punched him on the side of the head. That's not a natural part of taking the body during a check or a hockey play for that matter.

I think you nailed it @scrap-dog8181, even if we managed to get that call reversed and won, we’d be lying if we said we deserved that win. The panthers are better at just about everything except goaltender and it’s showing big. If Swayman was on any other remaining team they wouldn’t lose a game. The sorry effort/skill we have in front of him is embarrassing. I do disagree on Bennett, he’s Dirty, Marchand is Dirty too

@@OldBullAndYoungCalf Just not your year, but they need to work on support of Pasta or they will waste his talent. We had P Bure down here 20 years ago and he was similar to Pasta. He would score 60 goals but would not play D. He would stand on the Blue line and wait for a pass and go 1v1 with the goalie. He would score 3 goals but the other team would score 5. Swayman is a corner stone and they need to build from him on forward. Don't hate on me but even if you have to trade away Pasta for a few good players around the D. Marchand might have one more good year in him and he needs to go also for some younger talent to build a championship team. As for Bennett and Cousins they are our poor mans Mark Messier. More tuff then talent but you want them on your team, they play tough and take no S from anyone. Bennett will drop the gloves in a second. The Panthers finally have good owner, front office management, and a good coach. It took us almost 30 years to get back to the cup. I may be wrong but I think you guys need to rebuild to win a cup. You will make the playoffs the way you are but winning the cup is the goal. All I know is it is painful when the refs suck and the calls go against you ever time. I feel ya bro, they were terrible calls.

Certainly feels that way, @kenlightbody. When a sucker punch that knocks a key play out of the next game is caught in tape, and the league literally does NOTHING, it certainly feels like they care about goon activity. 🤷

@ricksmith, I've seen the weasel take a few beatings and a TON of suspension. Every one of them were justified and deserved. At least he was forced to miss games. Bennet got nothing. Zero. If we're being reasonable adults here, I feel like we should at least all agree a suspension should have been given to him. 🤷

@Shivavishnubrahma, I generally feel like the refs in Hockey and Baseball are far superior to the refs in Football and Basketball, but they have been atrocious this Post-Season. And last night was their masterpiece. Just a complete crap show if a decision not to reverse that goal, or to not suspend Bennet. Just, WOW.

For many years we had mostly classy players like Patrice Bergeron, but yes, all it takes is one guy like Marchand to tarnish the reputation for the entire team. It's unfortunate, but I will never deny what Marchand is. Now if we go back 40+ years, now you're talking some dirty Bruins play, but the whole league was basically like that. 🤷

@jasonb5987, I wouldn’t say it’s our style of hockey, I hate when Marchand pulls that garbage and also McAvoy does that crap too, bone headed moves that hurt the team. We do have a couple bad eggs that need to cut the crap, but which team doesn’t? If Florida wants to pull that BS then drop the gloves and fight stop running away. Shame the head office didn’t step in and say cheap shot head injuries are not ok when they had the chance this series.
