Kia putting the customer first… maybe in Australia. But not in the northern hemisphere. Kia’s customers are only first, for as long as they’re signing for a new vehicle. When you’re off the forecourt, it’s, “We’ve got your money. Now go away and never darken our doorstep again.” As for their 7yr. warranty , they wriggle out of as many warranty claims as the law will allow.
I just want a basic 4wd truck with a manual transmission. A diesel engine without all of the sensors. Basically, a work truck that is easy to do repairs on myself without a lot of fancy tools.
I want a low purchase price, even giving up features. I want good fuel econ. I don't require 500 miles of electric range. I require 100 miles no matter the weather. I usually buy used Hondas and Toyotas for 15k-26k.
All these new "trucks" are not trucks. They are suv's with a tiny worthless box. We need to classify what a real truck is in that it has to have a standard cab with an 8ft box period. Anything different should have a different name and classification. Cafe standards need to be changed for trucks so they are not forced to meet higher passenger capacity to be profitable for manufacturers to make.
I'm a greenie, whale loving tree hugger. I want eco-friendly. But I also live off the grid. No power available save for solar. So...? It is still a possibility with the turbo diesel but I'm in Canada and our govt is making diesel harder to get. So? So I guess I buy a turbo-petrol but, geez, our dollar means I am paying 1.3 times the MSRP or at least $50-60k. For a KIA? Option B: keep my 20 year old Pathfinder. 😢
Get rid of the electric vehicles. If you want to do a hybrid ok. But no one's power grid will be able to handle everyone charging there vehicles. How about improve fuel economy instead. I've seen a few people double the fuel economy than what we are getting now. ??? Why aren't companies doing this instead.
If it is a contender for the Ford Ranger ill think about it, but if it doesn't have a diesel engine i wont even consider it at all. Next, if its not a proper 4x4 definitely wont be getting it
You can plug your truck in in 10 seconds head into the house for dinner and it will be ready to go as long as you're bladder will last. Isn't this fun😂
I've got a new Triton on my shopping list and it's staying there! Iam not into MG/LDV, GWM type shitbox pickups. I used to buy Chinese products for my business before I retired. I know full well the kind of shifty tricks the Chinese factories do to save a few pennies. I'd put the Koreans in that same category. 🤨
TFL truck channel tried to tow with the Ford Lightning and their mileage dropped to about 40 percent of advertised mileage, electric trucks are a fail for me
Australian "Car Expert" tested two BMW's one petrol the other electric, the out come was a not good for the electric. ruclips.net/video/Ggn1zQMMZMI/видео.html
Kia will fail like the lightning because it should be phev with a hundred mile battery then the motor would ony run 5-10 % of the time. Also would not loose towing power. Wouldn't need to find a charge station or wait to charge @.
Good luck trying to convince Aussies to buy an overpriced dual cab EV that takes 18+ minutes to charge @ 60c+ /kwh……& find a charger which can offer this capability 👍👍
Kia is trash. You can build a truck, but if it's like you cars,no one will buy it. You need to start building quality vehicles, not the junk you put out now.
Is Kia going to flip the industry with this truck?👇
Just make a basic truck. Leave all of that infotainment, lane departure, rain sensing windshield nonsense out. That'll drop the price.
Yes sir
It's not only trucks being overpriced that bugs me, I'm getting sick of all these truck company's trying to shove crew cabs down peoples throats!
The narrator competely ignores the appalling record of catastrophic engine failures from Kia and Hyundai
And you are surprised?
YES! Make it and I'll buy it. I'm tired of boring overpriced American trucks.
Unfortunately no diesel for America. Biden and the EPA want's them gone.
I live in Texas I need a hybrid not enough chargers in my state

im sure it will be disposable after 100k miles like most of the other junkers they make.

No one cares
Diesel version for Oz would do well. No electric crap.
Maintained well, any car will go for years. I have an old 2004 Kia Rio with 195,000 kms on it. It runs perfect.

Top comment, all said!
What about a mega cab cummins with a 6ft bed? That's much more of a truck then a reg cab 2wd f150 🤦♂️
Yes, make it but I’m not gonna buy it

Maybe Trudeau will loan you the money.
Cyber truck only gets 85 miles pulling a camper on flat ground across nebraska.

I can put diesel or petrol in for 2 mins. Thanks. And no anxiety or weather cold interference. Who’d shell bucks out to buy a pseudo ute.

If they put a V8 in this truck here in the states they would surely steal the market.
Volkswagen Amarok v6 2024
That engine is too small for a truck.
I had a Mazda truck with a 2.0 litre engine once. It was gutless. No pulling power or payload. You can keep it.
This one's a turbo.
But not in the US, right?

Now there will be an easy truck to steal
bring a gas version or a hybrid
They need to give everybody who has an old Kia that could be stolen. They knew bass model Kia K5 or base model or whatever old model Kia they have
Good grief, who wants to buy an electric ute. There's no time to stuff around charging it for hours.
IT BEST BE 10K OR LESS, AS TRUCKS ARE NOW BEING ANNOUNCED AT 8K , 9K AND 10K. NEW STANDARD. GO OVER N' LOSE
Tasman is actually pronounced Tasmen :) --- English I know.
Make parts available
I own a Kia EV so would I buy an EV truck yes if it had less seats and more load space, i need a working vehicle not a show pony.
Another new mostly plastic vehicle full of soon to fail electronics, PASS!!
I'll only buy a PHEV. Not an HEV, Not and EV
cool!
Good luck trying to convince Aussies to buy an overpriced dual cab EV that takes 18+ minutes to charge @ 60c+ /kwh……& find a charger which can offer this capability 👍👍
Kia and Hyundai can keep the electric ones out of the States bring in 100% gasoline vehicles 👍
Toyota or no truck
Toyota doesn't even make a real truck

I notice he never compared it to the Tacoma. No thanks on the Ev end. Not enough chargers it there.
