I randomly stumbled into a Santa Barbara Bar in 1990 and found myself listening to Toad for the first time. I thought they were unique and exceptionally talented. I signed their mailing list sheet and received a demo cassette tape in the mail several weeks later in Minneapolis. It contained Hobbit On The Rocks. I have since seen Toad in multiple venues covering states from the West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast. But I have never heard Hobbit live. Can I make a special request for 7/18/2024 at the Golden State Theater? It would make this Boomer’s day.
they have played "Hobbit On The Rocks" live exactly one time, November 29th, 1997 at The Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia. I was lucky enough to be in the crowd that night and it sounded absolutely amazing live. I would love to see them bring it back out again❤
I think Dulcinea is my favorite Toad album but that's only because of how many memories are connected to so many of the songs. I am so happy that you are still playing and touring and making music. I wish y'all a fantastic time with lots of fun, and happy memories.
Amazing interview 😊❤️Thank you so much Todd. Looking forward to seeing them in August. I loved the Toad poster on Dean’s wall by the way. I’m also glad Jonathan is coming back.😊❤️🎶🎶🎶
Perfect album. Some of these songs still make me sob like a ballerina with a knee injury once in a while. Still remember my 1st listen like yesterday. Here's a special hug for Todd, bring on Lapdog #3.
Seeing Toad, my favorite band, play Dulcinea, my favorite album, at the Ryman, my favorite venue, is like my ultimate dream! I'm just a bit hesitant about buying my ticket because the other band on the bill isn't my cup of tea, but I'm still really excited about the possibility of experiencing such a special performance.
Loved your music since MTV days. Saw you at outdoor show at National Harbor, Maryland in 2010. Have all your albums - virtually every song on them is worth listening to. Thanks for being Toad (wish Randy could still be with you).
This album got me through some rough times growing up. Wanted to see you in Georgia but someone bought all the tickets and moved them to Ticketmaster for nearly 3x the price.
Thanks for this interview with the band, I appreciate their comments. We're going to the kick-off concert in Del Mar, Calif., and I am pleased to hear Todd say that, while it will be Dulcinea-heavy, it won't be purely a Dulcinea show. I've never seen the band live before and I hope to hear some songs from the other albums, many of which are favorites of mine. In any event, looking forward to part 2 of the interview!
Over the last few months I have been domesticating a stray cat that lived in a wooded area outside my apartment. We finally got her shots done and have her inside full time, and I named her Dulcinea after my all time favorite album ❤ congrats on 30 years
unfortunately ticket pricing is far out of the control of fans these days. With Ticketmaster adding on endless fees on top of what the band sets as the standard tour pricing. Noah Kahan set his tour tickets at $40 apiece and then Ticketmaster added $115 in fees on top of that. That's why the Ticketmaster/live nation monopoly needs to be ended
OMFG 😱😱😱😱😱 THEM WITH GIN BLOSSOMS AND VERTICAL HORIZON‼️‼️ I SHREIKED OUT LOUD‼️ OMG
Favorite album from one of my favorite bands
I feel exactly the same, thank you.

My absolute favorite band! So many great songs on this album. I'm glad JK is on this tour - can't wait for Deerfield!
Guys, thank you so very, very much for the amazing music that you've contributed to my life. I am forever in your debt. Cheers from New Orleans.
I hope Randy is healthy and happy. Love that guy and miss him in the band.

Todd Grimes, thank you so much for this interview with my friends and favorite band! I can’t wait for the next two parts!
You're very welcome! ;) Thank you!
The acoustic interludes the past couple of years were amazing. Dean’s cover of Better Be Home Soon will remain a concert highlight for me. So great!

going to be such an amazing tour!!!

Gonna see you guys in September, so excited!!! I've wanted to see you live for literal decades!!

This was so well put together, Todd, thank you! Can't wait to see the guys again!
Thank you!
Can't wait to see you all on your tour. Huge fan since Bread and Circus. Missing Randy but still love the line up.
1❤ team toad wet sprocket Katie big fan ❤️ forever 💖 life 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
come on to KC.. !! Luv watching Glen live on YT..
Love this band. One of my all time favs. Also if you haven't done so, check out Todd's solo stuff as Lapdog!
Saw you in Huber Heights: We are TOAD lovers 4 life! ❤Your show in Fort Wayne at the Clyde 5 years ago was our first official date too!
Glad to hear Carl’s on drums again and JK’s back for the tour. That’s a strong lineup. See you guys in Clearwater.
One of my favorite 90s records ever. We played the whole record start to finish in our cover band back in the day in the late 90's in Florida...
Thanks Todd Grimes!
You're very welcome!! ;)
Oh my goodness!😳 love this band!!
There are a lot of ways to play the guitar, all valid. Todd Nichols figured out something unique.
See you in Cary! Can't wait!
❤
Nice to hear Todd N being so responsive to questions, normally it's Glen and Dean.
Love it! So good!
PS: I will saw off an appendage to hear Stories I Tell this summer! LOL
Wish AZ was a tour stop. 😢
Wish I could come to the US to see a show (I’m in Australia). One day!!
No shows in Virginia. 😢😢
Throw It All Away and CA Wasted please!!!
I have a ticket stub from 1995. I was front and center and I can’t even get nosebleeds for that price. ☹️
Dang, no AZ shows at all :(
$179 tickets for Seattle? C'mon guys! Really? Guess I'll catch you another time after I win the Lottery.

Yep I was planning on the same show until I saw the price.
