If I I’m in the the southern hemisphere and I’m looking up planets, rotating clockwise or counterclockwise, and who gets to determine which direction is correct?

I think this part in science is kinda scary , but man has often talked about the brain the masterpiece it is. The possibilities of capturing that essence , especially if in an accident that or as he said b4 for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Things that affect years of a lifetime. Injuries. There’s a lot of potential Even hopefulness in my way of thinking for this to be successful to improve quality for those with brain damage or brain dysfunction.
Personally, I would love to see the results.
Thank you for your work in this field... It has already helped one young man, and is going for the second, and I believe it will continue until it is capable of fixing smaller things like not perfect eyesight. Thank God for giving you the insight to develop such a prosthesis to benefit mankind.

The interviewer consistently attempts to draw attention to the possibility that the machine can influence the brain. Elons response is very evasive and draws attention to a more comforting fact of the matter. Diabolical
Can’t help wondering if the limbic system has been downplayed.. maybe the tension between cortex and limbic is necessary for insights/ creativity etc. If connected to nueralink and suppression or override of the limbic system.. is this farming out creative aspect to A.I. ??? even though our lymbic system doesn't really fulfill any kind of actual logical reason, it's still what gives us our purpose in life.
i mean procreation... who cares about that? i mean sure our whole race would go extinct if we didn't but if we don't feel any emotional attachment towards other humans, why should we care? why shouldn't we just perish?
this is why our lymbic system is so important. it connects the logical with an amplifier. logic without emotion is not good. but emotion without logic is also not good. that's what i think about it.
and NeuraLink can be very exciting because our human body, and even our brain... is trash. in a lot of ways. just think about how many unhealthy and unlogical impulses we have. i mean sex is at least healthy, it strengthens your body, improves your bloos pressure it makes you happy, it makes you more endurant, it helps strengthen your social connection to another human being.
but think about addiction. curing addications by simply gently pushing the lymbic system in the right direction. hard addiction like drugs but also soft addictions like food. or even behavioral addictions.
and of course the opposite is also problematic, the moment when our lymbic system punishes decision that are logically good. we could get rid of unneccessary anxiousness, depression, suididality(?) and more. just think about the societys depression, people becoming shut-ins, NEETs. introverts, that just can't talk to people anymore because their anxiety is so strong.
but the most important point is to correct our body as well. get rid of unneccessary pain. a lot of pain is not driven by any meaningful purpose, the body is aching because of something good like sports. imagine running with all your strength without muscles aching, if all people had that, nobody would talk about adipositas anymore. generally. getting fat is basically a brain decision. the brain decides to convert carbo hydrates into fat cells. we don't need that, we can turn that off, we can increase the muscle conversion rate, or we can simply turn off the pain and run for one hour straight, maybe with a bit of medical equipment to assure we don't... die by heatstroke or so.
all those unneccessary bodily functions like... sweating or skin irritations, those weird itches that prevent people from going outside because they feel like insects are under their skin - gone.
Resistance is futile !!! But I'm not a fan of it bro, love your work cars trucks rockets pod caste etc. But I'm cool with the flaws and if we need to stop anything from happening take the ones that made the mistakes in corrections and volunteer then for ... Correcting and the like said injured I'll just be me and live...

I'm just curious about one thing... neuralink is for sending impulses to certain places... but can it also cancel or neutralize impulses? can you be that precise? or even just damping them?
of course the application lies in fiction... full-dive technology in video games has two challenges. first you need to send. you need to convert a 3D generated and highly detailed computer world into a neural network. all our 5 senses need to be perfectly emulated and translated from a machine routine into our biological brain impulses.
but what do we do then with our main body? if we start jogging, will we run into a wall? no. we want our body to fall into some kind of comatose state, where our brain is active, and all our neural signals arrive at some kind of barrier that reads them, to translate them into mechanical movement. voice. gestures. smells. and then we need to cut them off so the impulses don't arrive at our actual body. so we don't scream in an empty room suddenly while fighting some 3D monster.
especially the pain regulation will be important because the more realistic you be... if a monster slices you, obviously THAT's something you DON'T want to feel and it will not be easy, because you actually want to feel part of it. you want to feel how your sword is parrying the opponents sword, how your body reacts to the physical interaction. but you don't want to be hurt.
I'm really not sure how the human brain works, e.g. is touch and pain the same thing? is a touch just pain at 1%? or is pain actually something different? can we "just" turn off the whole pain perception thing completely and still be able to feel the warmth of another person on our skin
