Been playing this for years, but still picked up something from watching your playing - thanks. And yeah has always sounded like Stevie's left hand to me on the recording.
My daughter is in her thirties now and every time this song comes on the radio, I call her. Now, I can learn it and send a video to her. This is a great Christmas gift. Thank you my Brother! You mentioned, “real world.” You’re right. I’m one of those guys who reads everything and it’s become a crutch. When I use my ears, I remember the songs forever. Keep Shining Brother. I wish you much success, joy and great health.
The things that you are explaining are what being a good bass player is all about. It can be easy enough for any intermediate player to learn a sequence of notes as transcribed, but having a good awareness of where you can place them in the neck, introducing variety, feel and how to approach runs are things that are really hard to explain or teach. I think you did a really good job at explaining and demonstrating them!
Thanks Brotha!!!.I learn a LOTT and styles from your tutorials... Im a HUGE Prince Fan / Friend Also...Your Style is New Orleans / Minneapolis Chilled ✌👍👊... Keep the videos coming 👍

When I hear this song a pbass with flat wounds comes to mind for tonality. But great lesson.!!
