The INT was on Granson (GRANSON not Grayson), you can see them talking about it after the play on cams. AR says “I thought you were breaking in more”, a simple misunderstanding.
The other misses were a ball that hit ogletree in the hands, one that hit MPJ in the numbers, a ball that “sailed” over AD’s head (when actually (and Steichen confirms this) AD was supposed to be exactly where AR put the ball), and your usual QB misses (other than maybe the miss on a check down, that was weird).
All in all, I think AR had a beautiful first drive, and considering they clearly told him not to run during the preseason, I think it was a pretty good day for him.

Colts fan here, personally I had the same concerns with the ball placement but I just try and reassure myself that he’s 22 years old and was always gonna be a little bit of a project QB. All in all the game wasn’t bad wasn’t good just saw flashes of good and bad things. I really do think it may take some time for him to develop but having Shane Steichen is the best thing for him and I think he can become a real stud. Hes a good dude who puts in the work hopefully everything just starts translating to the field. Not expecting an MVP season this year but by year 4 when he hits that contract year and he’s 24/25 that’s when I expect the big step to be made. I also cut him some slack because he’s coming off a pretty serious surgery so I’m more concerned about him staying on the field and shaking off the rust and getting reps. I fully believe in him though

I have been watching football for decades and to me his arm motion looks weird. He might be the first QB in history to succeed with a weird arm motion but I am guessing not. It looks like he needs much better mechanics and that might never happen.

I think if AR can't develop into at least an average QB with his physical gifts it says more about the coaching staff than him. I believe in Steichen, so I have faith a corner will be turned at some point this season or next.

@econhelp583 I don't see anything weird at all with his throwing motion, other than patting the ball before he throws it. You've been watching football for decades, and you've never seen what you consider to be a weird throwing motion before Richardson? That's odd.

His pick 6 is a stick route. Stick is a 5 sit and an option to cut out based on man vs zone. AR is expecting him to sit and if the TE sits it’s at WORST just an incomplete pass. The pick is purely miscommunication.

It’s on both of them, they just got to be on the same page. However I think Granson had the right read on the defense. He was sitting in a better spot to catch and make a play sitting on the outside if Richardson throws the outside. If he ran the inside route he wouldn’t have any opportunity to run after the catch.

Totally agree on the final part. Woods needs to get healthy, but even then it’s a question mark.
Yes, I can see how it’s on Grayson. I left open that possibility in that video and shouldn’t have said “solely”. However, there are so many of these “well, the receiver should have been there” misses with AR that it’s alarming.

This is what AR15 has always been in his time as a starter in HS, @UF and his 4 NFL starts. He has a big arm and he's a specimen athlete. He makes some tough throws look easy and he makes some easy throws look tough with his placement. The good news for the Clots fan is, that he has a super high ceiling and he hasn't played a ton of football, so he's most likely only going to get better if he stays healthy. The bad news is, he hasn't played a ton of football and teams don't have a lot of NFL tape on him. If he doesn't improve his accuracy and decision making, he could be in for a long year of RB1.
