Put your thumb on your on about the middle of your cheek, keep it their as you reach with your forefinger back to to your neck, where your spinal cord & veinous system leads up into the brain. I'm not a doctor, but the facial area is just inches away from where it all comes together. She is lucky to be alive, and I'm glad she is still happy to be, despite the grievous injuries she sustained. A truly innocent victim but still a strong, intelligent, brave young lady...
