My ears just can't get enough of the tasty chords in this one. And even though it's relatively short, there's everything in here that jazz stands for. Your arrangements of "Jingle Bells" and "Christmas Time Is Here" (the latter of which I've played on my channel), rub me just the way I like it as well. Greetings.
So glad you can appreciate my reharmonization. To me there is nothing more exciting than taking the ear on an adventures trip when listening to familiar songs. Something especially advanced musicians can appreciate, which you obviously are. THANK YOU for your most kind comment!
I understand. It's all a matter of taste, I am sure we can all agree on. Sophisticated harmony is not every one's cup of tea, and that's totally fine. Some people love country music, other's like free jazz, and again others like something in-between. I think the important thing is that we don't impose our personal taste and expectations on others by diminishing the quality of someone's work that we don't appreciate out of personal taste and preferences. I like to push my musical boundaries, like many jazz musicians do. Unfortunately, the more sophisticated the music is, the smaller the audience becomes that appreciates it. But I just can't help myself. Forgive me!
@@musictrainingonline Not at all. I understand perfectly what you mean. I myself take great pleasure in sharing my art on RUclips, and people liking what I do is the most satisfying reward an artist could receive. Thank you for your insightful remarks. As for me: I try to absorb as many genres of music as I possibly can. I fear no one.
That is so interesting, as for me I enjoyed listening to this arrangement and even would love more of those chord changes. It's like a delicious marmalade you can't stop eating slowly...
This channel is such a hidden gem. I'm glad that I have found it.
