Only South Australians calls them Potato Fritters in Australia. Victoria, Tasmania and the NT they're called Potato Cakes while the rest of the States and territories (ACT, NSW, Qld and WA) call them potato scallops. Fun Fact until roughly 25-30 years ago the NT use to call them Potato Fritters too.
