    Thank you for this video. I had no idea how to take this off. A very helpful video demonstration

    Good job, Action!!! Now, why in the world did the nice folks at Husqvarna not include the instructions on how to do this in the owner's manual? They just said to remove the blade, and screw on the string head. No info about the little rod to lock the shaft in place as you turn the left hand nut. But then, that would make it unnecessary for you to give those of us who have just bought these Husqy trimmers this invaluable tip. Many thanks!

      @@abnrgr7569 Did you realize the nut has left hand threads? The threw me a bit, but the nut did move a little, and got tighter, so I recalled the old automobiles from waaaaay back, that had left hand lug nuts, but only on one side!! Hang in there, you'll get it done!! I usually have to lubricate things like this with a few well chosen wirty dirds!! Much better than WD 40!! 😂

    You take it off so easy. I followed directions put lock pin in. Then when I go to unscrew it won't budge my goodness. It's so tight.what to do?

    • @actionequipment2016
      @actionequipment2016  Год назад +1

      Are you turning it the correct way? Remember these are opposite thread to most other nuts you'd be accustomed to. The nut should never be tightened mechanically; the supplied socket is quite adequate with fairly little force.

      @actionequipment2016 thanks for the quick reply like I was going the wrong way. I was able to take it off now.

    That was very nicely filmed and helped me figure it out. The one thing you maybe missed for us newbies is which way does the blade itself go on, the writing on the top or under? It would appear writing face down to me from the video, but anyway thanks a million because I was struggling and now I'm not!!

    • @actionequipment2016
      @actionequipment2016  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting! The correct way to orient the blade may depend on the blade itself; the Husqvarna 4-tooth blade that comes standard with many Husqvarna trimmers can go on either way.

    Happy to say that I've just bought the 535LK and it has more than enough power for a grass blade & a forestry saw! A serious piece of kit! Would recommend one to anyone.

    Hi and thank you for the video! This is something that I would like to do with my Husqvarna 128ld. I'd like to ask if the gear box on the "string trimmer" head is strong enough to use as a brush cutter? Husqvarna sells a separate brush cutter attachment (Poulan PP4000c) that has it's own gear box. I wonder if that is a more safe option for a trimmer still under warranty? What are your thoughts?

    So I was trying to retro fit the blade into a Husqvarna 525LST that usually comes with a regular head that holds string. Went to the store got the blade and asked the rep if I needed a special kit to make it work he said no…. Got home I found this video and it looks like I am missing the black plastic gizmo before putting the washer and nut on. 😡 that’s the reason I asked the dumb guy I should’ve known better do you know what size nut I need or if Husqvarna sells that conversion kit.

    Is doing this for a curved shaft Husq forbidden for some reason? If so, why?

      That demonstration was done on a Husqvarna 525RJD. But the technique used applies to any Husqvarna linetrimmer or combi unit that can swap from a trimmer head to a grass blade.
