How to trade in PoE2. Step one: send a whisper, which is always in korean or another asian language for some reason. Step 2: receive no answer. Step 3: Repeat the previous two steps about 300 times before one guy finally invites you. Step 4: Profit.
My favorite trick is setting max buyout values especially for early things. You do any of the trades Conner showed there, but add a maximum value you have to spend for the slot currently. Ckick search. Then sort by either the weighted value or another value you searched for. On the results, if you click on a stat, it will sort highest to lowest based on that stat. You can do this for weighted counts as well
Another thing that can help when using weighted sums is to set a buyout limit and sort by the sum. Clicking the sum itself on the item will reorder the list to be sorted by highest sum first. It's a decent way of finding out, "What's the best I can do for 10ex?"
Honestly just listening to this video is interesting because I’ve only got about 500 hours between both games so idk literally ANYTHING lol🤷🏼♂️ Thanks for the awesome videos/advice dude !
little PSA for the currency trade: Don't get baited by flips that look good but aren't, gold is very useful and if nothing else you can always use it to gamble for rares/uniques. The cost for currency trade flips is not time or currency, it's gold, all the "good" looking flips will cost you many thousands of gold per ex profit and unlike if you're gambling for rares, in the end you haven't added anything to the economy, you have simply scammed yourself by burning your gold.
Amazing video! Really wish there was a normalized weighted sum to cut the math but it is what it is. Time to undersell some items and make someone happy.
When looking for armor make sure for example if u want armor and evasion to put a 1 on armor and evasion in equipment filters, this way it will only show those, i did the mistake of looking for everything but that and since i'm dumb blind i ended up buying armor and energy shield chest with the stats that i wanted 😂
I really hate the tier reversing in this game for pricing my loot, a random T5 could actually be a high tier mod because the number of tiers aren't the same for every mod..
I like to at least see what sorting by highest sum gives me, most of the time you see some 999 mirror trolls but sometimes there are actually good things relatively cheap.
As a new player to GGG's games, not having instant buy-out trading is quite the letdown. I used the trading site for the first time last night and of the 8 attempts to trade that I initiated via the site (sending an automated in-game message), only 3 responded and were transacted. Not fun just sitting around waiting for responses!
This has been discussed over years by GGG countless times for PoE1 - theres was no good solution to do auction house. But as Conner said, gold now is a thing and it works pretty well for currency, we might get auction house with gold needed to list items. Gold basically equals time spent meaningfully playing the game.
I'd love to just be able to play the game, but unfortunately it seems like this EA is a ticking time bomb for my PC. Between the complete lock up/freezes happening in loading screens and the game spiking my temps to above 80 degrees I'm gonna have to back out for a while, or at least until they drop a patch that addresses the poor performance/possible damage to computers. i7-10700f / RTX 3070 / 32gb ram
Even if they don’t want to give us a proper auction house I don’t understand why at the very least we don’t have a trading board like on console in POE1.
I never considered there wouldn't be a trade board. I hate not having it, especially since all the controls have been changed and chat/invites are clunky af. I want my board back.
Agreed on pinging people too quickly after they list an item. Greed takes over. People assume that since you pinged them so quickly a 5ex item must be worth 100ex. 😂 And then the item is stuck sitting there for eternity.

Yeah the new player base sucks at trading
Haha this was exactly my experience. Just give me the damn amulet
This is my exact experience EVERY SINGLE TIME. I hate Gen Z and younger kids. They ruin everything and have no idea how to do anything.
the trade whisper is generated based on the seller's chosen language. it's a decent enough metric to judge playerbase by country.
Can we have separate realm for Korea those dudes are insufferable
It already changed my world when I watched your video on POE1 a while back, the refresher was very nice!! Thanks for that!!
I got 4k hours on poe1, I still listen to the basics because sometimes you need a refreshen or missed something for 4000 hours of playing the game.
6k hours here, and same. It's my favorite part of PoE. You're always learning

14:55 Veteran part of the video
Start typing with “~” so you can type ~resistance and all the different types of resistance pop out.

The comments on live search and instant pings are SO real, especially when its fairly priced items and ur not scumming ignorantly priced items.

I do this sometimes and buy stuff that is to high level for me, or some other issue lol
@@samgreen8582 yeah on level requirement i put a number close to my level and usually pop ups items around my level
Those 1ex boots in ur video, he would not respond and then put back up for 10ex

I don't understand why they went like 90% of the way in creating an auction house but didn't want to implement the escrow part
How do I get a 6 link in PoE2?
Good content man youre the best!
Did you update the build mate?

4k hours in poe1, and I still don't use the trade site properly. I'm gonna do it the right way next league in poe1.

surely you cover the res look-up trick with "And"

For real? That seems like a great setup

or just use pseudo total, same thing, less sweaty
Bruh why is it a website ugghh
The zoomer cries in anguish as he has to alt tab once
I have basically been wasting my exalts! I should’ve used them to trade for specific items, then…
Make more begginer guides
Please
Oh we trading in divines now? what?
Go cyclones!

I’ll never understand this way of thinking.
