Pinas 2022 - Visit to Manaoag Church

Manaoag Church is one of the most visited church in the Philippines. Located in the town of Manaoag, Pangasinan.
According to folklore, a farmer is said to have witnessed an appearance of the Blessed Mother in the 1600s who spoke with him about the location of her church through a heavenly glow of light. The man delivered the message to the locals, and shortly after that, they constructed a little church.
In 2014, His Holiness Pope Francis consecrated the church as a Minor Basilica. The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag was recognized as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines the following year. The official ceremony took place in 2018.
