One time, I was worship leading on the drums (i'm a natural sweat bag when I'm playing, idk why) my hands were so sweaty I was building up and when I hit the crash my drumstick went flying away from me and hit the bassist on the face. I felt so bad because my inital reaction was "IS MY STICK OKAY?!?!?" and we were in the middle of worship. Good thing errbody was on the floor enjoying God's presence, haha (everybody was hit good by the Holy Spirit) p.s I promise me and my groove buddy (the bassist) found a common grpound and we're friends again HAHA. XD
Taya you need to make more couch sessions I love watching them. You are amazing at all you do. You are beautiful inside and out. Thanks for just being you. Jesus loves You!
My embarrassing worship story, I do drums and guitars at Faith Family Church in northeastern Ohio. This one night during one of the services where I was drumming, we went through the first song totally fine. In between songs, I felt I was too close to the drums and I scoot the drum throne back and almost fall backwards on top of the floor mixers/DI boxes for the drums, and then when I get situated again, the mixer for my click falls (it's on top of a stool for some reason, I blame poor placement) and somehow turns it self down to like 10% of what it's normal volume I'd usually set it at. So we go through the next song totally off because I couldn't hear the click or tracks or anything, panic-stricken I try my best in between the failed song and the next one to figure out how to get it back up. Eventually, I did get the volume back up and I could hear the click again. I was so embarrassed at that moment, but our worship/technical director said all was well and things happen sometimes. Thankfully, that hasn't happened since then, and I hope it never happens again LOL, I wouldn't be able to deal.
I'm so happy that they added the footage. I laughed so hard at that.
