@the hash slinging slasher you can make the food badly pretty easily, but some of those kitchens had enough dirt built up that you could tell they hadn't been cleaned properly in a very long time. If ever!

I love how she stuck to her beliefs about the red meat even though the best chef in the world was in front of her offering steak that he just cooked in front of her. Very respectable from Gordon as well making her not feel forced to eat it.

She might also try getting protein from foods such as oats, beans, and rice. If she isn't Vegan she might try eggs and cheese. You don't need meat to get protein and B vitamins, but it is the simplest way.
B vitamins don't even come from animal tissue in the first place, they come from bacteria in dirt, and the cows and stuff get them from eating grass from the ground. You can get enough too from veggies alone if you eat a wide variety and a lot of them (and not processed empty calories like pasta all the time), and especially eating skins of things like potatoes not peeling them all the time. That said, it's also a very cheap supplement, and eating one pill is even easier than any of the above.
That prep room is crazy. Insanely clean, well manged, and great food jesus. If only my fridge looked like that.

Obviously this wasn’t the setting to start yelling at some random chick over her dietary decisions. But the fact that she played along and then made him cook a steak for her to just not eat it would definitely be infuriating to me, and I’m not even a world renowned chef. Probably would be extra irritating for Gordon because of how much he values filet mignon as an easel for a chef.

There's a difference between a raw (blue rare) steak and medium rare steak. If you cook more rare than the customer wants, its raw. If it's not steak or tuna, and it's not cooked all the way, it's fuckin raw

Quit acting like you know people. When I went to school (recent graduate), the food quality was extremely poor to the point where it triggered my migraines. If you've never had a migraine, consider yourself very lucky. With the amount of pain and sicknesses that cafeteria has caused, it should be and potentially could be sued. After about the 5th or 6th migraine, I completely stopped and even refused to go to the cafeteria because the food was repulsing. I was one of those kids who just hung out at the library waiting for lunch to end. Instead, I survived off the limited food at home. My lone mother couldn't afford much. She used food stamps, to feed her four children.

Overall just a general lack of understanding when it comes to nutrition. Like you can actually have a healthy balanced vegetarian diet, if you know which nutrients you need and how much of them and where to get them from. Just saying muh animal lives doesn't save you from having to feed your body the things it needs to survive and function properly.
