  • Decarabian, otherwise known as the God of Storms, was the God-King who ruled over Old Mondstadt before a group of rebels took him down. However, I think that there's more to him than meets the eye, including a potential link to the Shade of Death.

Check out the theory on how Dld Mondstadt looks just like a giant city-sized alchemy/transmutation table. He may have had his own complex about finding the magnum opus and getting closer to the truth of Teyvat. Alice says herself that she further ruined Old Mondstadt while she was exploring it, to give it that more ancient look. That's sus, like she wanted to hide something there, like she worked on the alchemy table for Decarabian or something.

Decarabian is the definition of: "The path to hell is paved with good intentions". He just wanted to protect his people, he's not that different from Rex Lapis, he had to face a way harsher climate.

@@Vizible21Teyvat Travel Guide: Vol. 1, Teyvat Geographic Special Edition - Alice's Mondstadt Diaries. It's the very last part of the book and is written in Alice's perspective:
      "Stormterror's Lair
Brightcrown Canyon leads to this huge ruin of an ancient city which was built by the cruel King of Gales, Decarabian. The city was built in a ring-shape. It seems that every resident of the city had been arranged their own spot between the inner and outer rings. Right in the center of the city was the tall tower where the King of Gales resided.
The ruins of the domain of this cruel king, who once tried to control his people's lives, are now utterly deserted.
I blew up a few arcades so people can climb up the tower more easily. Looks quite good to me. The ruin feels more ancient now."

You know, Mondstadt is my favorite region of all time, however I would agree that its still left unfinished. So much potential.
As for Decarabian, I would believe that he is still alive and sealed under Old Mondstadt tower. I would love to see him playable, he would be a swordsman with no origin of his past, and we get to explore deeper within Old Mondstadt, like a domain or new area. As the danger past, he would finally remember everything and most likely save the Traveller. After that, he will tell the traveller about his past as Decarabian and how it ended. Thats just my thought, so dont take it seriously.

I am a person that holds freedom as an ideal and a notion extremely high. However, the arguments in the game somehow always felt like were not enough to call Decarabian a cruel God.
But I guess if he was indeed a God of death, then no one regards even a reaper as kind or gentle. (unless you're blade from hsr or sum)

Out of all the gods we hear about it feels like he's pretty underdeveloped, but I wonder if we'll learn more from Venti during his 2nd story quest. Maybe he'll even end up becoming a weekly boss, Decarabian seems like the most likely candidate for that.

I think genshin is slipping in it's own lore coz as we know if a God dies the area near it have ill effects and can kill mortals but I think those effects only occur if God is angry during death like havria people betray her even she was kind and for decarebian i think he wanted to save his people and wasn't angry at death time like maybe he acknowledged that he was harming his people so maybe he let himself to die@@weeewohoo1685

  • @KDHeron
    @KDHeron 2 месяца назад +6

I don't think that Decarabian had any special connection with death, I think that rather anemo is connected to death - see also how most anemo characters have experienced a death close to them.

I see even as the element of purification and adaptability- similar to how wind blows smog away to be purified by natural means or how dandelions are propagated through the wind.
In terms of Teyvat and it’s laws, this can be seen in how Xiao was purified by Venti’s songs. It can be seen in the comments on Mondstadt’s unusually clean air and water (which could be atteibuted to other factors, but feeds into the narrative of purity.)
I see this as being very similar to the rebirth cycle confirmed to take place in Teyvat via Irminsul. Souls are carried to and dispersed within the world tree where they are purified and returned to the world- else they will fall victim to erosion over the centuries.
I imagine that anemo beings are compatable to most other elements (a jack of all trades master of none type) and are the least likely to succumb to corruption of powerful elements, but when they do it is more extreme and permanent than other elemental wielders. As in- if an anemo wielder were to be overpowered by the abyss whilst trying to purify the ambient corruption, their identities may change to that of an abyssling (think Xiao and his Karmic Debt).
On that note, I wonder if the wolf in the Boar Princess may have been referencing an anemo creature like Andrius. Or maybe Andrius himself?

I think Decarabian’s death was planned after all. Don't you think that the Wolf Lord attacked Mondstadt during the War of the Archons and when he died he simply abandoned the throne? Thought before his death (400+ years) I heard that the Wolf Lord learned a lesson about his strength from an ancient god. Could this be Asaroth one of the shadows? Just think: The Wolf Lord decided to attack Decarabian. The Storm God had to defend himself to protect the people. But the Wolf Lord did not stop attacking with an icy storm for 400 years, wasting his strength in vain. Isn't it strange? Barbatos, who is a piece of Asaroth, the Goddess of Time, immediately responded to people’s prayers. It was Barbatos who began the uprising through Bard. During this uprising, the Wolf Lord did not decide to attack. Then he abandoned the throne, which had spent 400 years of power, and became Barbatos' pet. It turns out that Mommy Asarot made her son a god by removing Decarabian from the road.

I think there's actually an Anemo equivalent of the Primordial Sea, Primal Fire, Irminsul.
It's The Thousand Winds, there are serious mention of it as the after life, Memories go to Irminsul and Souls go to the Thousands Winds, it's actually heaven!

Let's be honest Genshin's lore is only interesting in "theory and speculation". Lmao. If you actually play the real thing it's shittier than Twilight. Well at least it's getting better in Fontaine but still that first introduction to the world has been the most boring in my gaming life. And oh they haven't even set up their magic system yet. I still don't understand how these boring ass characters got their visions and how it even works in universe.
