Thanks for the review. Ironically, I ordered my Regal Rotary with the Big Game jaws yesterday. Happily, your review confirms the impression I’ve gotten from other reviews & my own experience with a Regal non-rotary that I’ve used since the early 1980s. It does revolve 360• for viewing the fly. You are right. It just fits my hand quite comfortably.
Thanks for the review! I opted for the Medallion (still Jonesin' for this Revolution though). I must say I immediately appreciated how little fuss there is when inserting a hook ... I've owned 2 other vices (both cam operated) and having to constantly tweak the cam tension vs. how the Regal works was definitely something I noticed right away. Cheers!
I'm from New England myself. grew up in southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts where this vise is from. so that alone makes me want to buy it but....I like tying mostly tube flies, and I saw that when you spun the tube vise adapter, there was some wobble in it . Does that happen all the time? ??
I heard Regal vise have problem. hook flying ,chiping off jaw etc, that is why they have stainless steel jaw. google for it. this guy fall in love with Regal vise, it can't be help.
I've heard of people having hooks shoot out of the jaws, and then the jaws will chip. But my understanding is that is a result of incorrectly placing the hook. I've never had it happen to me over the years, but a quick google search found this explanation regalvise.com/hook-alignment.html
I've heard there is a guy that wears a red suit and flies around on a sleigh every year on 12/24 delivering presents to all the children of the world. I was shocked!
Uhm ... I didn't uhm, find his review, uhm, irritating, uhm, at all, uhm ... in fact, uhm .. I uhm used his information uhm to uhm inform my latest vise purchase uhm which uhm was uhm a uhm Regal uhm Medallion. So uhm, yeah, I am uhm super uhm happy with uhm my decision uhm and uhm I am uhm happily uhm tying flies on uhm my new uhm Regal uhm vise!

Glad you liked it. Yeah the ease of use is awesome with Regal!
Thanks for that review. I'm having some trouble with my vice and have been looking at this one with that head.
Still loving the vise!
Is it necessary that the hook is placed in the cut out in the jaws for hooks?

Hey Dylan - the Wobble is because I don't think i had all the sections tight... but i'll check
Is it left handed user friendly ? Is it left handed user friendly?
1:20 Unless the hook shank rotates inline also, I wouldn't say that it is a "true inline rotary"
+jimmydrive check out 6:20 - if you set the hook right you get the "true inline rotary"
+Kevin Hospodar Gotcha. Thank you.
I decided not to pay on the mortgage for this month only. The Regal Revolution was worth it, lol.
Houses come and go... you'll have that vise for a lifetime
Don't you think disclosure of your business relationships with Regal and Partridge would have been appropriate?
Sure, I am an endorsed Regal tier. However this video was an objective review that I did for a blog.

Um um um um um um um um um I'm um um um um um um. Dude, that was PAINFUL to listen to.
Um, thanks for the feedback. I didn't use a script or bullet points, which would have kept thoughts concise and less rambling.
This is what makes it real. Thanks very much for your review. I'm agonizing over my choices right now.
