Definitely not wannabes, in my opinion. Everything Watain has been doing since Sworn to the Dark, Valkyrja's releases have been better. In fact, I've pretty much disliked the past two or so albums from Watain after Sworn to the Dark. I've found them to be quite uninspiring. Give Valkyrja a chance. ;)

Only because Watain is so popular and you only know Watain doesn't mean Valkyrja is a copy. Is Ascension a copy of Watain or Inferno?
I appreciate this style of Black Metal and there are so many bands influencing EACH OTHER. But pls shut the FUCK up reducing everything on Watain.
