There are some indications of excellent ball movement, but yes, we're clearly missing one of the greatest offensive players of all time . On the other hand, after many lackluster years defensively, these Hawks are getting after it. As this team grows/gels, the O will produce. And if the defensive effort remains, this will become a dangerous team. Elite 8 potential.
The story of the season thus far appears to be Sean Sullivan. Where the offense has been a little sputtery, his defensive influence is making a huge difference. Who'da thunk Iowa would be more known for their D than their O? But these players are bought in, and aggressively getting after it. Love my Hawks!
When they beat a legit team, they will be ranked. A lot of Iowa fans are delusional. Iowa isn't even close to last year's team. Because they don't have anyone doing CC stuff.
@@FURPRONOUNS I concur, this team was poorly assembled. Olsen is a great acquisition but the role and freshman players at best are D3 players. Some of them can shoot but I don't see any other skillset. Passing is poor. Dribbling is bad but they play solid defense.
Wow, that Iowa defense is solid. I don't ever remember one time last year where Iowa held someone only 58 points. KU had only two scorers. I wish O'Grady and Syd would stay out of foul trouble.
