    *If you are located in the United States please make sure to use a FRS radio instead:

    Great review! Just to let you know the Motorola battery pack shows 4.8v 600mah. The AA batteries the Retevis came with show in the video 1.2v 600mah. When you add the 3 AA together in series there is no increase in capacity. so the 3AA are together 3.6v 600mah.

  • @RKingis
    @RKingis 2 года назад

    The batteries combined is 1.2v x 3, , so 3.6v @650mah. Batteries in series addes the voltage, parallel addes amperage.

    Handy y split usb charging cable nice radios I like the way the flashlight is located on the top away from the antannae unlike the Motorola's which are located so the antannae causes shadowing a plus for me .

    They work on line of sight. In order to do the test properly, High point to high point and line of sight, easily 10+ miles

    1. Thanks for the review and test. Came here to see someone using the buttons to operate it.
    2. I bought these a while back, like most on Amazon, for the baby monitor feature. I looked at CB and the rest, but finding a user-friendly devise w/ USB power via a standard Type-A to micro cord, nothing proletary (1 cord in backpack is ideal), has baby monitoring, and long range is impossible. Cost isn't as important as those features. Can you recommend something that fits?

      Some radios can be programmed using a USB programming cable such as this ➜ geni.us/pTQaN
      While some Retevis radios such as the RT24 can be programmed, the RT45 is not compatible with the programming cable. Please observe local laws and regulations!

      If you are located in the US, then it will be a higher power FRS radio anyway.

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад +1

      European Union uses PMR446 @ 0,5 Watt and 8~16 Channels.
      United States uses FRS @ up to 2 Watts and 22 Channels.
      Other countries I am not sure about yet...

    Diference between Floureon FC200 and Retevis RT45 ?

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  4 года назад +1

      Many of these radios are very similar, the most noticeable difference is color and design. It is important however to use the correct radio in your country, e.g. PMR for Europe and FRS for North America.

      @@ReviewTechTVThank you. But im from Europe and i will go buy PMR. But if i go to USA can i use them? They work?

    3:38 - Nope total capacity is the same. When sources are connected in a series of their capacities in mAh do not add up.

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  4 года назад

      Ok, the batteries have more voltage in series and more capacity in parallel

      Two good options are Panasonic eneloop and the pro:
      1900mAh ➜ geni.us/PwFj
      2500mAh ➜ geni.us/IsRsS

      @@ReviewTechTV Pro aren't really suited to this usage. They're more for high-power devices. Pro have several times lower durability (you want durability for random charging, topping up etc.) for somewhat higher capacity (which you don't really need). At a higher price. Stick with standard Eneloop.

    I've got the Motorola equivalent and I've had 15 mile range and that wasnt even line of sight but I was up fairly high. In my opinion the retevis is the inferior radio, it even looks low quality.

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад

      I agree... Motorola tends to cost more, personally I think the Retevis RT24 is very competitive.

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад

      Have you used a European PMR446 radio, only 0.5 watts, or an American FRS radio, up to 2 watts, for your 15 mile (24km) range test?

    • @spinnerinthebubbleCT4543
      @spinnerinthebubbleCT4543 5 лет назад

      @@ReviewTechTV its the 0.5w version. Here in the UK they are the rules when it comes to handheld pmr446.

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад

      Oh I see, I was thinking for a moment you are from the US, as to the range... 15 miles (24km) sounds very far, I doubt people in the city get anywhere close to that with a PMR radio.
