    Really, excellent tutorial and process. I must tell you that after paying for bra-making classes to learn underwire bra making skills, your swimsuit tutorial is much more to the point, and filmed to support the viewer. Thank you again as always for sharing your hard earned knowledge.

    Excellent tutorial. I really like the way you explain every step and the reason for them. Also the little tips and tricks you give. Your tutorials are very easy to watch and listen to partly because I enjoy the way you chat as you do have a very pleasant speaking voice, enhanced by your soft accent. I've already got a kit (as I live in Northern Ireland, bought in UK) now to work out which pattern to get! I think the Cindy would possibly work well for me as I like the deeper band style, particularly because I've a prominent ribcage and I feel it will sit better on me because of that problem. If you feel another bra style would benefit me, your advice would be appreciated. Its a congenital rib deformity, not particularly noticible at present as its covered with more flesh than normal and as my breasts have increased following a long course of steroids, it doesn't show so much, but, it is a problem when trying to get a bra to fit, which is the prime reason for wanting to make my own......

      It sounds like the Cindy would be a good option for you! Defiintley sew a mock up first, since the fit can take some alterations especially if you have specific issues you are working with. It tends to have a quite longline naturally. I often trim about 1" off the total length. Thank you so much for your comments! I really enjoy making these videos :)

    I’ve been stalking your videos and I really enjoy them, very helpful and informative. My question for you is: could you sew the Cindy bra without underwire? I have some RTW bras that I mostly like that are shaped similarly to your Cindy but they don’t have underwire, which is what I want.
    Thanks so much for your videos😘

    • @Ohhhlulu
      @Ohhhlulu  6 лет назад +1

      I am SO sorry for the delay! You could experiment with removing the underwire. It will just create a garment that doesn't sit as close to the ribcage.

    What a perfect tutorial (more like a full class)...thank you! I have made bras, but never a swimsuit...May I ask a question : Why did you sew the wire channeling towards the cup of the bikini instead of the bodice (like when you make a bra)?

    • @Ohhhlulu
      @Ohhhlulu  7 лет назад +1

      Elizabeth Pulido whoops! Good catch. Sorry about that inconsistency! Chalk that up to the fact that I don't sew many underwire bras!

    • @s3xiibiishliyah
      @s3xiibiishliyah 7 лет назад

      Elizabeth Pulido what do you mean? So you saying when you flipped up and stitched the other side it should of been stich downward instead of upward?

    • @Ohhhlulu
      @Ohhhlulu  7 лет назад +2

      I think she meant, so that the channeling lays towards the band instead of the cup.

    • @s3xiibiishliyah
      @s3xiibiishliyah 7 лет назад +1

      Sarah Norwood oh okay. Thank you, have you tried so that the channeling lays towards the band?

    Great tutorial! I was wondering where you got your fabric from? I've been looking for tropical prints like these everywhere but none have the right ratio of pink and green that I like.

    •  4 года назад

      The Fabric Fairy (www.thefabricfairy.com/) has tons of super nice swimwear fabrics with any print imaginable! It's the only place where I buy swimwear fabric because it's also super high-quality, soft and isn't see-through. :)

    Hi, just bought this pattern. The terms you use are different and they’re a bit confusing. On the pattern, it says “lower side cup” and “lower front cup” but you’re calling them centre cups. Do you have a… little translation guide or something? Haha

    • @Ohhhlulu
      @Ohhhlulu  2 года назад

      Sorry. I haven’t had this specific feedback before. They are both part of the cup. There is a side portion and a (centre) front portion to the lower cup. Then an upper cup piece.

      They are designed to withstand being wet. Is this a problem you have encountered in the past?
