      @@classicperformance Great video though. The 33, especially earlier model years are often regarded as the most porpoise/hop prone, but it goes to show when the time and effort is put into getting the setup right (X-dimension, IMCO standoff boxes, tunnel tabs) you can correct those problems. The 33 that ran 174 at Havasu's Desert Storm in 2009, and 192 at the 2012 LOTO Shootout is proof of that.

      @@5571350M8 Indeed the porpoise/hop is always an issue to tune for especially with the new motors over the old Mec "blue" motors. We tried some cleavers and it was vey pronounced and not able to be overcome. In the current state with "standard" props and the NA 540s, she'll run just under 120 @5,500 rpm.

    That thing is siiiiiickkk!!!!
    Does the engine noise ever get old when going for longer drives?

      @classicperformance  2 года назад

      Never gets old! haha. Actually, at cruising speed the cabin and helm is rater quiet and the motors are more of a background. The wind noise is actually more noticeable. Considering where the sound outlets are for the exhaust and the blocking of the transom it is quite comfortable at 60-70mph cruising speeds and engines are running below 4,000 rpm. Thank you for your interest!
