Hello Bin Can you try to teach us if there is possible to make some family annotation that directly calculate to total are of openings in any façade in a building I mean to calculate the % between solid and void(openings) in a urban building façade and thanks a lot your videos are very helpful for us Blessed
@@BINHE615 hello Bin, Thank you for your response, we can try it in a simple file like Revit sample files, where we calculate the façade area and then remove the opening area from it and then, we will have some numbers of the solid and void areas in the façade! usually I try to calculate them manual in Cad by making some hatches and extract those area and transfer them to percentages so i ask if there is possible to make it in revit by using such this family that you had model it
If you need to little tool so you can type in the areas and get the percentage, you can create an annotation family, create 2 number type labels (e.g. A&B) and a calculated Value with formula A/B. drive.google.com/file/d/1JScIKBd4gAMkg908fwePUYfgclznFlsf/view?usp=sharing It will save you a couple of seconds typing the numbers in the calculator. If you have already modelled the facade using any method, such as walls, curtain walls, pattern based, you might be able to use some sort of schedule to calculate the percentage.
Hello Bin Can you explain to me, how to make formula for the department schedule to make procent. You have different apartments with different areas, so you want to make a formula that helps you to know what kind of apartment is. For example, you have 5 apartments from 30-50sqm and that should be arount 30% of all buildings, next you have 10 apartments from 51-100sqm and that would be like for example 45%. If you know what i mean. Anyway, thanks

I think it depends on how these facades are created. Do you have any examples?

I think you should probably use Area Schedule for this.
