Would have loved to see your Camp setup. I'm heading to Northern MN in 2 weeks. Canvas Tent grouse camp sounds interesting. This year I rented a cabin.
I mostly just run 7 1/2 or 8 all season long. Whatever i can get my hands on. Sometimes 6's. Not really dependent on the season. 6 could be probably argued for early in the year to push through the cover.
@@hoganinthewild8468 very cool! I live down in Georgia and read we have very little grouse here. We got a bunch of quail down here but much easier to hunt on managed private land.
You have some access to some good spots then I hope. I have never hunted quail but always been on the bucket list. Especially Mearns quail in the southwest!
@@hoganinthewild8468 quail is fun. They’re a ground bird like grouse. Highly recommend you look into guided tours with you if you don’t mind spending some moolah. It was like $300 per person for 4 hours but great experience if you have kids or family you want to introduce to it. Great eating too

I'll have to show the setup one video! Best of luck and enjoy the cabin!
Fun video, keep ‘em flying!
Appreciate it Tom!
You and Harper are on the board for '24!
We sure are! You getting out for duck opener?
@@hoganinthewild8468 hopefully at my first beaver permission property! Was out there for teal and saw dozens of wood ducks and mallards flying around.
Heck ya! Good luck
@@hoganinthewild8468 appreciate it! Hopefully the grouse woods continue to be fruitful for you this season, looking forward to your videos.
Never heard “great dog”. My next hunting dog instead of “great dog” I’m going to say most excellent dog…you are a supreme girl lololol
Theres times when she's a good dog and times when shes a great dog! Hunting as hard as she did in the 80 degree weather she was being a great dog haha
Great video, what county are you hunting?
Appreciate it! St. Louis County
What shot do you use in the early season vs late season??

Is this public land or do you manage this? New to the channel - sending a subscribe your way!
Public land. Fortunately, northern MN is full of public land opportunities. I appreciate the support thanks for the subscribe!!
