I live in Sweden, we have many people from former Yugoslavia in my town, and they brought the hatred with them many times, parents fighting eachother, not letting Serbian kids play with muslims and so on. I was 6 and he was 9, and we teased my two year older sister about something, she brings a toy gun and said she would shoot us. For me it was just a fight between siblings, but my friend got scared, hid underneath a table in my room and started crying. At the time I didn't realize how a toy gun could scare him so much, but afterwords I rememberd that situation and realized it was memories from the war haunting him.

My experience with people from the Balkans tought me many of them tending to be too emotional. They can give you love of unique intensity and strength. But beware they hate you...... Central or North Europeans will love you to lesser extent, but they will be able to forgive or forget more or less what happened long ago. Many people from the Balkans will store their emotions somewhere for a later release. They do not intentially do so of course.

The reason for the war is ethnic and religious hate and divide. Serbs wanted independent Republika Srpska, Bosniak Muslims wanted a Islamic country which later caused the HVO-ARBiH war 1993-1994, Croats wanted to live in BiH only if they were equal with the other 2 nations as the smallest group that's why they created Herzeg Bosnia and HVO and defended themselves. The ending was the hardest for me. I’m not sure anyone should be filmed when they’re in that state, ever. That said, I understand why you did and why you would. Many people from the Balkans will store their emotions somewhere for a later release. They do not intentially do so of course.
It's sad that we kept accusing each other and doing horrible things to each other because someone in power said it was okay. We did to each other some things that no one can excuse. No one won, we all lost. I hope that one day we will live in peace like we did before those assholes in power made us do all of this. Žao mi je samo što su nam turci neprijatelji a mi slušamo njihove kukavce na naš način,mentalitet nam promenili.Treba Srbin da se otrgne svega turskog a u bihevioralnom ima mnogo toga,običaji ne većinski ali shvatanje,poimanje,čak i vaspitanje,ima turskog a to nam ne treba.Sve bi ja te estradne narikače proterao.

The reason for the war is ethnic and religious hate and divide. Serbs wanted independent Republika Srpska, Bosniak Muslims wanted a Islamic country which later caused the HVO-ARBiH war 1993-1994, Croats wanted to live in BiH only if they were equal with the other 2 nations as the smallest group that's why they created Herzeg Bosnia and HVO and defended themselves.
Serbs were aggressors on Croats and Muslims in 1992, Muslims were aggressors on Croats in 1993 and 1994.

My dad was a Bosnian Sunni Muslim and when I was born I had his name hamidovic means son of Mahamed, my mother is Australian but lived in Bosnia in the 60s and 70s and my oldest siblings were born there but thank god I was born in Sydney and I'm a anti-theist I do not believe in gods or religion so I changed my name back to my mother's name and my dad took his life when I was a child so I don't even know him at all. But I feel Balkan as my mother says I have the same madness as the men there. My mother is a only child so I have no family but her and my siblings, no aunts and uncles but in Bosnia I have many. Being a half cast has brought me much trouble. I don't advise mixing Balkan blood with English blood. You get a madman.

Is it a crime to prevent a genocide? If we could go back in time and prevent holocaust, should we? Serbia needs to take responsibility for its actions and stop playing a victims while they were the aggressors. NATO should of done more and intervene earlier in order to stop the tragedies that have occurred in a country that had a weapons embargo.

This man is delusional,The Bosnian Serb leader Karodic threatened to wipe out the Muslims to extinction in the Bosnian parliament,he talks as tho the army he is fighting for is a small band of fearless men when in reality it was the Yugoslav Army (minus any Muslims that once enlisted) ,the firepower,air force ,Tanks etc that was supposed to be for all of Yugoslavia was on the Serb side and the "fearless and of warriors" admitted to the rape,murder and torture of civilians, children and babies,as ordered by the men in charge of this "fearless band o warriors", it sickens me that this bullshit was swallowed by so many of the Bosnian Serbs , propaganda at its worst. I remember two men who served in the British Army used to drink in our local pub,the things they saw often brought floods if emotions when they told us what they witnessed including babies pinned to doors outside houses with bayones and knifes,just because they were Muslim,it was thru these two men I started to learn about the break up of the Balkans
