Indy definitely isn’t a one lane track. I’ve seen plenty of passes on the high side and side by side racing, The issue is NASCAR wont increase horsepower. The run way to much aero on a stock car and keep low horsepower. Indy should be high speed low drag with extremely grippy tires that fall off quick but not too quick.
yes, in past eras it might've not been. But with the next gen and low horsepower of the cars before its a one lane track. In IndyCar its a multi groove track though

The race at Indy was still decent at best IMO. At least it wasn't like the dreaded racing we saw with the Gen 6 at this track.

Like I said, I don’t want to take ANY credit from the teams who played the right strategy, but 90% of the race the cars were single file
