    Sam couldn't be more wrong. This draft pick is a B+ at worst. In a draft full of backups and role players, the Hornets took a player with superstar potential. Absolutely the right decision. If u remember correctly, Sam wanted Scoot Henderson over Miller, loved the Bougkight and Kia Jones pick, and was happy trading Jalen Duren for two second round picks. Honestly, Hornets should look to this channel to see what not to do.🤷🏾‍♂️

    I called it, did I not? At first I was for Ron Holland but I fizzled out on him because of his tunnel vision and iffy ball IQ. Then I saw Tidjane and I said, this is our guy. But I wasn't sure Hornets would look his way.
    They proved me wrong. Hornets just need to help him tighten his handles.

    • @rayneozier
      @rayneozier 6 месяцев назад +1

      I’m excited to see him develop. He has promise as a shooter and off ball scorer. And I agree if he develops his handle and gets more physical finishing at the rim, he’ll be damn good. He has great energy and instincts on defense from the highlights I’ve seen too.

  • @TheEzwider88
    @TheEzwider88 6 месяцев назад +5

    This doesn’t necessarily mean they’re tanking. I think it just means that the front office didn’t see any of the other available players making an impact either. They see the guy they drafted as having the most long term potential probably out of the players that were left. I think he played better towards the end of the season so you can’t go off his averages either. I watched some of his highlights from the French league playoffs and he was going off..

    I think the thought is to add this man as a 3. Bridges is gone most likely. And we know this is a developmental year. So the lineup will be Ball, Miller, Tiduan, Grant Williams and Mark Williams (all ATM of course). But then with this year being developing the top players in the draft next year are more 4s than anything. I like it because this makes the Hornets a tall team from the 1-3

  • @johnharris3455
    @johnharris3455 6 месяцев назад +1

    This 1st draft of our new management is important as far as seeing the direction they want to go. But this draft class, to me, isn't all that to base that on. Just call me biased, but I just want us to keep "Miles Bridges", pay the man whatever he wants to keep him here, it's not like we don't have it, so give it. He's expressed that he wants to be here. He's one of the very few players that we've drafted, especially for the low post position, that has panned out for us. We've watched him develope and grow right before our eyes every year he's gotten better. And his ceiling for potential and further growth is through the roof. And he's looked up to and respected in the locker room. We've done this over and over again. Draft players with potential let them go and they ball out elsewhere. If we're going to start a new trend here in Charlotte with new ownership with a new coach and staff. Then let's start with keeping one of our proven own, Miles Bridges, he should be our starting point into this new trend. And that we're committed in bucking the old. That's all I'm saying.

  • @ktdagoat1289

    Hornets are NOT tanking... Tidjean does have Giannis lvl potential not in star but in the amount of growth imo.. Cause the kid WINS.. Hes more willing to shoot the 3 (33% 3 is the average 31% isnt terrible), his inside game is solid, and he has great defensive potential..
    Outside of that the Hornets need to have Melo and Mark injured again to tank.. Cause otherwise they are easily a legit play in to low playoff seed.. Same team as last year with better coaching wouldve been a play in team..

    1984 - They also said that Michael Jordan didn't have a good jump shot and would be very inconsistent as a shooter. At 18, MJ was only 6'4. He grew 2 inches and developed one of the best jumpers ever. The experts also said Lamelo was a liability from deep with a low shot trajectory that would easily get blocked in the nba. I don't recall a single 3 point attempt of his getting blocked

    As far as numbers are concerned, you're not considering how different European play is. Also, these guys have been falling all over the place and these front offices, whether anybodywants to admit it or not, probably watch a lot more film and in-person games that most of us because it's their job. The truth is almost none of these picks is going to lift a franchise right away, so now's the time to gamble if you're going to do it. Just last year, people were saying Brandon Miller would take awhile to develop and Scoot would immediately impact the game. If there's anything to be learned from that, it's most people don't know what will happen.

    This franchise absolutely refuses to just try to become respectable. All they do is take big swings on projects that have "potential". They never try to build. They are forever trying to go from 0 to 100 in the draft I stead of getting a player that can contribute immediately, even as a rotational player. This is why though I have lived in Charlotte since 99, they are not my NBA team.

    It's too much talent for tanking. You should already know that. You don't stand out. You offer NOTHING that mainstream Hornet's media isn't already offering. The victory in this draft is that the organization went after long-term weaknesses i.e. size at power forward and a pass first backup point guard.🕺👞 Stop it!
