Lets be real here.
Your very first time visiting Liyue, was truly something special.
and got to liyue by doing mondstadt's katheryn quest or just wander off :v
I walked all the way along the road to Wangshu Inn and it was so pretty! I always loved the red orange treetops of maples and autumn trees
That moment when I saw Liyue Harbor from afar was truly magical!
it depend.. you talking 29th september liyue or cbt2 liyue? as for me.. 29th september liyue is not special anymore
for me nothing beats the bamboo forest near qingce maybe because I reached there at night and there were so many fireflies I felt like a character in a Chinese fantasy novel
Feels like visiting Liyue for the first time again.
Yes very true
I loved that feeling
Exactly that
You are bringing back my forgotten memories
When I visited liyue for the first time it was 1.3 lantern rite
This game is barely one year old, but hearing this makes us all feels nostalgic
Just 5 months and a few days..
I felt really nostalgic when I just went and took pictures from where it all began. From meeting paimon, to encountering dvalin, entering mondstadt, meeting new characters, defeating dvalin, exploring every nook and cranny of mondstadt, entering liyue, unlocking all the waypoints, the statues, defeating childe, unlocking dragonspine - everything was such a blast. I swear I cried remembering everything that had happened in just a few months.
Mihoyo really did a good job at this game and i'm so happy to be a proud player of their games😭
I literally just made that comment now before reading this XD
WHY DOES IT MAKE US FEEL SO NOSTALGIC
*Cries in happy nostalgia*
Back when we had actual quests not daily commissions
It’s almost like ancient Chinese music lol
I remember playing Genshin Impact for the first time (That time I didn't even knew the game existed and didn't know it was a popular game, I was just bored one day and decided to download a RPG) So I basically started the game without any knowledge and I remember my first time in the game, the quality was outstanding. (It was free so I wasn't expecting it to look amazing.) I was immediately obsessed and played it 'til I reached a quest which required me to go to Liyue. The first time in Liyue I was surprised at how good the quality was (Again) but it felt different when I reached Liyue Harbor. I remember I was on a small hill side and it was night time. All the lights were on and It looked so good. I remember I had a shock face and was like:
"WTF NO ONE TOLD ME THIS GAME WAS THIS BEAUTIFUL!!" And the traditional Chinese music started playing, and I JUST HAD ALL THE FEELS I-
Okay sorry for going on a rant lol
Genshin is one of the few good things in 2020, from my point of view
yeah, the game is free cause it's gatcha, still so amazing tho
Yea.. I still can't believe I used to travel (run) from Mondstadt to Liyue just to unlock a statue of seven and a teleporter lol.. Now i still play but I would teleport even the quest its only 300m away.
same here. love liyue.. will be hard to beat . but well its supposed to be the richest country there.
Everyone is gangsta until dendro slime decided to blend themselves among the bushes and start playing their own music battle
that time katheryne asked you to send the letter to katheryne in Liyue, I was so under level, the map was not unlock, dashing and running from the new enemy, and there is a 'omg, i made it' feeling and this song is a celebrating you, welcoming you to the Liyue ....
i love it
Gosh the anxiety of not being able to see anything on the map.
@@Lovarez and climbing random hills and mountains cuz you're lost 😂
@@bvq330 feels like ive seen ur prof
That is so me
You just started liyue's arc, and it was nighttime when you first arrived at the small hill. You watched the lights of liyue harbor as you sat at the little trunk. You were amazed. Although you already knew the beautifulness of this game, yet, seeing liyue was something very special to you. And maybe some of us, felt that genshin is our new home, new world. As if it's the peaceful world we've been searching for.
damn straight
That's true. You don't even have to think about competition since there's no PVP. You only have to satisfy your sense of adventure.
Man I still remember the first time finding Liyue harbour, my heart raced so fast...

This OST : Exist
Me : This might be a good spot to find some ingredients
And dendro slimes annoyed you with battle themes Ost 🤣
BUT WHY THE KH3 REFERENCE SHDHSJHDJHJDS
Well hello there Xiangling!
Never cared about ingredients in KH3 but in Genshin, ingredients is a must.
Xiangling:
Imagine walking past Mt. Tianheng for the first time, just across the hill and greeted by this music along with a beautiful and buzzling harbour town.
only to be ruined by some hilichurl nearby.
Oh woopsies a ruin guard decides to hit you
@@Lygartz or a dendro slime hidden in a bush somewhere near the path 😂 Dammit they always ruin the mood lol
My experience is still fresh and I clearly remember every mesmerizing moment - the first time I saw Mondstadt and the first time I saw Liyue 😌
I think that even after a few months of playing, I’ll still linger for a few seconds and look at these cities from the hilltops before moving on
as a chinese girl who has never visited China and has been dreaming of visiting I cannot tell you how happy I feel everytime I visit liyue.
You can visit Zhangjiajie, it's the place that inspires view of Liyue.
@@user-zi2su1if4j thank you! ill add that to my list!
@@user-zi2su1if4j ooh those avatar rocks
@@user-zi2su1if4j second this, it's in Hunan province and a really famous tourist spot in china
This is sooooo true, I’m Chinese but I’ve only been there once.
Ah the song you hear after successful login (if you choose to "park" your characters in Liyue harbor before logout). Now its time to talk to Katheryne, rearrange the expedition team, pickup the login and mining BP rewards, crafting some condensed resin and checking out what kind of daily commission you get today.
This sounds so mundane right now, but I suspect that in the future we will be crying over how peaceful our lives were in Genshin Impact.
You described it perfectly! Our daily genshin activities~
don't forget the obligatory "Tasty! Tasty Chop Suey!~" on the background
Now in Inazuma everything is crazy lol even tree can kill you
Imagine entering China and this soundtrack automatically plays in your head.
Reletable
For reaaaaaal imagine you visited an ancient china civilization and this music plays omy lawdd idk just thinking about it makes me happy
Hehe yeah
This Soundtrack will forever burned in my memory so bright, like Xiao Lanterns in the Sky
Same and I still have the xiao lanterns in my inventory to prove it too
"To cleanse the land and defend our safe harbor... that was the first contract in Liyue... and now, the final contract, too, has been set in stone"
Those words and the fact that I associate this song with my first time visiting Liyue and the end of the lantern festival with that scene of Xiao watching the sky full of lanterns make me realize how easy I get into the world of this game.
The music in Genshin Impact hits differently. Every. Single. Soundtrack. No other game had ever made me feel things like this did to me.
Right? Even the music alone is enough for me to recommend this game to everyone I know including those who don't even play games. I feel pity for those who didn't give the game a chance because they heard or read that it's gacha.
Genshin's music manages to channel and modernize what made early RPG music so good, while also fitting in tons of cultural sounds and melodies. The only other soundtracks I can think of with this level of emotive melodic arrangement and heart are classics like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI-IX and such.
3:22 reminded me of Xiao's little smile T_T
Dear those who are reading this message, if you are having a hard time, remember that you are not alone and never give up. I wish you health, success, love and happiness!
In case anyone is wondering, it is Kurt Hugo Shneider that plays the piano :)
Aaah! so that's really him! his face kinda familiar but i cant place it
@@Minatozaki25 His hair got longer, so I almost didn't recognize him 😅
first thing I noticed, but I'm really wondering why his channel link is not mentioned like others usual collab stuff?
@@shiverwind Good question. Maybe that was a bilibili special (limited?) collab sponsered by genshin and is not supposed to be uploaded to youtube. I dunno though.
no offence but he looks like the lv 80 member in my lv 90 party compared to everyone else here XD
I can imagine Zhongli drinking his favourite tea while listen to this

The best thing about Liyue for me was how much Mondstadt hyped Rex Lapis up to be this ultra strict money grabbing Archon. Then when I got to Liyue, there was this lady near the staircase at Feiyun Slope that was super condescending to Barbatos, so it made Liyue seem even more stuck up than Mondstadt. I like how they kept things slightly secret when you're exploring even the harbor itself. It's great world building, imo. Then you can just imagine the amount of work Rex Lapis put into making Liyue a lovely place after 6000 years of guidance when you're met with the Lantern Rite, and how the business-minded people of Liyue just stop whatever they're doing to pay respects, send their wishes and relax.
And then we meet Zhongli/Rex Lapis and immediately melt at his feet because he's so beautiful and perfect 🤣🤣
The first time I arrived in Liyue was literally magical. I kid you not, my jaw dropped and I whispered “woah” as soon as I saw it.
I still can’t completely explain what emotions I was experiencing at that moment, I mean, it’s just a game world, right. But I really felt... welcome. Like I’d found a place that was right for me. My heart was bursting with pure joy, I felt so weirdly happy and at peace. I kept smiling like a complete idiot during the whole time that I explored the harbour.
I don’t know why, but Liyue (and also Mondstadt) feel like second homes to me. And I’m pretty sure that that’s true for you guys as well.
One of the reasons I love Genshin so much as an Asian American is that there’s so much Chinese representation! It feels oddly like home and I love the fact that they added Chinese names, despite knowing they may be difficult to pronounce. It’s comforting!
well it’s a Chinese game,,, of course they have Chinese names… that’s default options for Chinese games. Having English name is more of an adaption and surprise. 😅
See this is why we'll all come back to this game again and again, every time a new region arrives it's a feeling of falling in love all over again, everything looks and sounds so magical, and then, ad astra abyssosque, the exploration begins anew.
The lantern rite cutscene bgm though...
I'm not tearing up you are!
太棒了!
Im just ar 30 And this is already nostalgic-
I remember the times when i was ar 15 or 16 i explored liyue by my self without getting The quest from katheryne
When i arrived at wangshuu in
I thought i was On the actual harbor
And then My friend told me its in the actual other side of the map-
And there it goes
The most magical feeling ever- OWUFKWHFKWHX
"When i arrived at wangshuu in
I thought i was On the actual harbor" this was me also :3
Omg me too skksjsksj
Can't believe I'm seeing Kurt Hugo Shneider here omg
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed him.
I can feel xiangling is busy at cooking and serving her customers🙈
Happy Chinese lunar new year & lantern festival!best wishes for all of you!
thank q~!!!
I find myself back here again after watching this year's Lantern Rite. It makes you feel like you're back home again.
I was gliding from Dragonspine, the Liyue map wasn't unlock yet and my under leveled team already so worn out. But then I finally discovered Liyue and this music welcomed me. I instantly forgot about all the pain before I got here. A magical experience for me and now it feels so nostalgic.
now, cant wait to go back in 2030 and listen to this again
This is the soundtrack of an underlevelled traveler embarking on a journey to meet another Katheryne
you know it yourself, Liyue have the most beautiful scenery ranging from mountains to valleys and even oceans
i remember when i went to travel to liyue because of the liyue katheryene quest. i was so lost and didn’t know where to go so i just followed the teleportation waypoints and the navigation to liyue since i didn’t unlock a lot of the view of the map for liyue yet. while traveling, finding npcs, small villages and wangshu inn was a relief, because i was a low level player exploring a location with higher leveled monsters (hated whopperflowers) so finding a place where there wasn’t any monsters after traveling for a long amount of time gave me time to relax (this was before fighting dvalin, hence why i was a lower level than the monsters in liyue).
then, while following the path trying to find liyue, luckily, it was night time and i saw a city filled with glowing lights. i was so fascinated and stunned, seeing that it was so beautiful. i ran straight to the gate, talked to every npc, fed the dog (stayed with the dog for a while), and explored the incredible city with fantastic music.
i love genshin impact, it gave me a feeling that i, myself was inside of the game and feeling the traveler’s feelings, feeling lost and alone without anyone with them traveling (at least in the game, paimon is exploring with us but we don’t see or talk to her).
hearing this music makes me feel somehow nostalgic, thank you guys for playing this so nicely, it’s so nice to the ears and makes my heart feel happy.
If you close your eyes listening to this I feel like walking thru the streets of Liyue
Whoa, that _flute-like_ instrument sounds really different than what I expected! Still _blown_ away by it tho.
It is a flute lolol just the chinese kind and its awesome TRUST ME
i always loved liyue since the first tome i visited it. its like ... its waking up my inner asian 👁️👄👁️
when i first entered liyue, i was so dumb & didn’t even realize you had to unlock the statues to see the land on the map, so i didn’t even know i was in liyue in the first place
i was really scared during my journey to liyue because the map was still not completed and i was anxious about wandering to places i've never been to so when i reached liyue and saw how beautiful the place was, it became a moment i would never forget
I knew the first time I heard the Lantern Rite ost, it will be forever in my heart and soul.
The reason why I started playing Genshin and continue to do so, was because of three things.
One, the Storyline.
Two, The Lantern Rite Festival.
And Three..... Xiao
This is beautiful, my tears came out at 2:34 for no reason.
if there's an oscar for video game music scoring, this song should be nominated at the very least
It sounds so dramatic is a good sense that it felt like a movie theme song! So beautiful!!! WELL DONE!
POV: The Genshin Impact Anime ended its Liyue Arc with the ending of the Lantern Rite Event Quest, and the 2nd half of this soundtrack is playing in the background.
imagine liyue, but a hundred times more beautiful and diverse, and in real life. that's China.
_”Liyue is not a place. Never was. It’s a people.”_
that was not the message-
We're to focus on getting a new characters and beating the game and forgot how beautiful the worlds of tevyat.
If youtube could give maximum 100 likes instead of one i will give you all. It's a very detailed arrangement and performance. Thank you so much for covering this. :)
2:36 Lantern rite always give me so much emotion!
One of the most beautiful soundtrack in Liyue. Fantastic!!
The beauty of China is underrated. We should show it. Thanks genshin for showing 🫂
throwback to how excited i got when i entered liyue and traditional chinese instruments started playing
2:35 is FANTASTIC
God this game........... just there are always almost no words to describe how much I love everything about this games world...
I just love this. I love China, I'm really interested to know more about their culture, music & more
What I love about this game is that despite having sad stories of the npcs and the playable characters, you somehow forget it because everything is beautiful and the music is awesome. Like it's telling me that yeah life sucks sometimes but there's always something that helps us forget and appreciate the good things that come as well and inspires me to keep going. might be a bit cheesy and cringey but that's just how I feel.
感觉回到过年的那时候,感觉真好。那也是我第一次在游戏中感受到年味。那时候给我印象很深刻,希望原神能继续这样下去,不要变质。加油米哈游
Approximate translation: “This song gives me vibes of returning home for the New Year. It feels very nostalgic and I hope that Genshin going down the line won’t evet change with its quality. Keep going Mihoyo!”
Genshin impact set the bar so high for rpgs 😭❤️
Played this in CHINATOWN, im enjoying the mood while buying meds for my gramps
That second half transports me back to the beautiful Lantern Rite cutscene.
I was at AR 11, I think. Then I was too scared of ruin guards and couldn’t defeat Dvalin either. So my experience was strange at first. I was just jumping on roofs and collecting those mushrooms for no reason. Then I thought: I’m so bored.. and I think there’s also a city somewhere out there.
So, since I already went to Wangshu inn, I walked from there to Liyue. It was amazing. Since my level was low, I was scared of every monster that was there, but I finally reached it.
When you don’t have a map and waypoints, and you don’t know what to expect, this all is really surprising and beautiful.
Damn. Walking from Guili Plains to Liyue Harbor makes me teary in nostalgia even though the game is barely a year old
This is one of the most beautiful arrangement of LIyue ... tearing up.
I just found out genshin impact and all of the music from the game is so good. I don't play games but I love thier theme songs . I was so into Atelier , Onmyoji and Nier Automata. Now , time to explore genshin music !!
hope by now you have watched the two concerts :)
