Cried way too much got frustrated too many times as well. This was a whole roller coaster of emotions. He really killed there child to save another women, and killed her parents and thought that she would love him after that. Not to mention all the abuse and torture she endured from him??!
Im scrolling through the comments and everything i wanted to say has already been said. I just want to add that the ML character was an absolute psychopath, even if i hated someone to the bone i wouldn't do the things he did to the FL character. However I truly appreciate how well they were able to portray the characters and how meaningful the storyline was. This was one of the best dramas I've watched on this channel execution wise.

This ending is the best in my opinion, all because of a misunderstanding... And see that ML is still alone at the end of his life, if we were in ml's pov, it would be very painful too.
I'm so glad this drama didn't follow the typical route of sweeping all the pain and trauma under the rug for a 'happy ending.' It felt realistic,traumatic and true to the characters' journey that the princess couldn't simply forgive or forget all the terrible things she endured. The fact that the show acknowledged the consequences of those actions made it more powerful, even if the ending was heartbreaking😢. Not all stories need to have a happy ending, and this one would have felt wrong if they just ended up together like nothing happened."

This drama is so sad, story line was good. I was crying so hard, I feel so bad for her. The worst thing was for her to find out she caused her kingdom to fall 😭😭 I’m glad she didn’t forgive him and lefted the world finally. Hopefully they never meet in the next life or if they did for them to only pass each other. In my future they said if your lover in the past did you wrong the next life you’ll be the one to do him wrong.

Horrific abuse of FL by ML because he fails to recognize his savior, as per usual. Show is 90% abuse and torture, with a little amnesia and her death thrown in at the end. Overall, disgusting. Some redeeming characters but not enough to make it worth the time, even watching at double speed.
Boycott these dramas by leaving unsavory comments and curses. Maybe it be too much they'll block channels that peddle this unnecessary dangerous message to our children, abuse and forgiveness don't go together so we must stop this

ML was BRUTAL. I mean he was next level brutal. FL inadvertently caused the destruction of her kingdom but she was just a child and didnt know what the map was.. The guilt she felt upon finding out the truth on too of everything she endured from t he ML and everyone else was like adding insult to injury. She felt like everything bad for her ppl started with her and only by her death could it end. I don't blame her for telling ML please do not show up in my next life...however, i suspect he will. And um, was i tge only one who dayum near choked when ML said he wasnt human until he met Iris...um so all the ish he did to her is what he thouggt was 'human'.
this is a short drama but all actors and actresses are really good omg! i usually skip a lot of scenes with this kind of chinese drama cuz usually they’re ridiculous. this drama plot is ridiculous too but the acting is just superb! i was afraid when she has amnesia like NO MAAM! you dont forgive him after all the abuse. so the ending is perfect for this drama. overall 9.9/10 !
Tragic but well written story with good actors and acceptable ending. The FL made a wrong decision in saving the young ML not knowing he's an enemy of her country which led to the fall of her kingdom, death of her parents and her cruel marriage. The ML did not realize she was the person who saved him and so he abused her and let others abuse her too. When he found out the truth and tried to make amends, I'm glad that she didn't forgive him. In the end she chose to die while extracting a promise from him and her brother to end the war and coexist peacefully. Her death was really the best revenge because he lived in regret.

This was by far the most tragic Cdrama story I've seen here. Although there are more like this. But still these invoked a lot of strong emotions that are not easily overlooked. It's really very disturbing and hard to swallow - with all the tortures, mutilation, sadist, masochist, evil scheming monsters they call 'humans'. Spoilers! Yes, all this started from the ignorance of a young bratty princess - cause she was grounded and didn't know that the map she gave an unknown little boy (whom she wanted to save and who also apparently wanted to get revenge on her kingdom) would cause all the tragic disasters that befall her beloved kingdom, her family and herself. (I wonder how he ended up in her territory during that time and why he would hate their kingdom so much, cause later it was revealed that they weren't responsible for his mother's death but it's his father. So it's probably also cause of his people who died.) It's a tragedy that the evil schemer cousin of the prince is smarter in terms of blackmailing the FL and the stupid easily fooled ML always believes his beloved cousin more than ever. And to think she only died by being slashed through the neck. What an easy death! I wish the bad guys in films would be reciprocated as bad as what they did to the main lead. That would be sweet justice. The FL, on the other hand, endured so much torture and abuse over a period of time. You wouldn't actually want to accept such a male counterpart to be your partner while you're alive. Would you? That's heinous! Even though he changed because he learned that the girl he was searching for "Iris" was Annie in the end. It's no wonder she lost her memory cause of the guilt, pain and remorse she overwhelmingly felt. That everything started and ended because of her. Anybody would have a hard time accepting that fact where a small innocent decision you made, can cause a big disastrous outcome that can destroy many lives including yours. And it's no wonder she would prefer death over a bad decision she made. The ML had a moment of regret but lived through it until the end of his life. It's like he doesn't even have a conscience to begin with - probably cause his father wanted to kill him too. Still, he's like a ruthless devil with no soul. If I were the FL, I would want to run away from such an individual too. Moreover, the confusing part is whether the child survived or not. Also, can't they just tone down the loud sound track? It's becoming very annoying.

It’s the best and happy ending for the FL, she didn’t have to suffer anymore, it’s suffocating and brutal for her to endured it all. She’s strong that she is able to live till she meets her brother. The ML definitely deserves to be alone forever.

Adorei o filme. Será que foi baseado em algum momento real da história da China? A China tem muitas histórias de lutas, de ascenção e queda de reinos. Quanto aos personagens, todos vítimas. O principe apaixonado pela única pessoa que lhe deu um pouco de carinho. Ele mesmo fala que só conhecia a morte e foi treinado desde pequeno para matar. Ela uma princesinha, doce e sonhadora, tão inocente que sem saber deu o mapa das defesas de seu reino para um principe inimigo, e com isso provocou a destruição e a morte de tudo o que amava. O principe mesmo negando, no fundo do coração sabia que era ela quem ele tanto procurava, pq senão teria deixado ela morrer antes, mas a arrogância masculina não permitia ele ver o óbvio. Apenas um homem sendo homem e uma mocinha sendo uma mocinha iludida por seus sonhos. No fundo, respeitando as proporções, nada diferente do que sempre aconteceu na história da humanidade entre homens e mulheres, e continua acontecendo pq os homens seguem sendo arrogantes e presunçosos, e as mulheres seguem sendo tolas e crédulas

Agora se você gosta de finais felizes com família formada e tudo no final,pare de sonhar e finja que nunca viu esse Dorama pq ele é pesado. Contem: assassinato,estupro, violencia, tortura só horror. O protagonista esse filho da put## vence a guerra contra o país, onde a protagonista é princesa, milhares morrem e ele trás a princesa e os pais dela pro reino dele. Chegando lá,ele tem planos de matar a princesa que é a prota,e ta literalmente com a espada no pescoço dela, quando chega o servo do imperador com uma ordem onde basicamente obriga ele a casar com s prota. Se casam na primeira noite ele abusa dela,mais pra frente mata os pais dela literalmente na frente dela,faz ela ser torturada os dedos quebrados e furados,mais pra frente queima ela com ferro quente duas vezes. Manda corta os tendões do pulso,pernas e bracos fazendo com que ela não consiga andar direito ou segurar. Engravida ela,e quando o bebê ta de oito meses,em um complô faz o parto dela ser induzido e o bebê morre. Em todo o tempo que se conheceram nunca demonstrou piedade por ela,pq ele se apaixonou pela menina que o salvou quase no final ele descobre que a menina era a princesa e fica chocado,a princesa ja sabia que ele era o menino quando encontrou o mapa que ela deu a ele pra escapar do país. Não contou pq ele ja tinha estu**do ela e torturado,dps ele mata os pais dela e ao ver ele tão frenético em busca da garota que ele chama de íris,ela resolve não contar pra ele que ela é essa garotinha,como uma forma de vingança. O fim dos dois: após fazer o irmão dela e o cafajeste prometerem que não iam mais fazer guerras,ela se joga da muralha,ele vive cheio de remorso e culpa pelo que fez e no final do mostra uma cena dele velho olhando pra um retrato dela e meio que dizendo que logo iam se encontrar suspeito q cometeu suicidio. Enfim,chorei fiquei com raiva esperava um Dorama com final feliz e encontrei um de tragédia😢😢

He literally learned nothing to the very end cause wtf no one wants to see you in the next life like bro don’t even be human next time try a toad. I thought it was awesome that Lily the maid lady changed and ended up being really loyal. Also, I felt like the brother was just so tragic because he did love all his family. He already had protected his sister about the map and did want to save his sister at the end. This was the stupidest cruelest general/prince ever. Supremely evil and full of excuses m. The female lead I don’t know like Lily said the FL just didn’t figure out how to be cunning. I am so sorry for her and I’m glad she got peace in using her death to bring the war to end also to avenge herself against him.
A short version of the tearjerker Goodbye My Princess. You guys who like long format should check that one out. It was the original and the most tearjerking of all palace dramas.
The actors and actresses did a very great job bringing this story to life. I actually cried but I wouldn't wanna be the FL's maid. I didn't see get punished but I felt really scared for her 😅

A maioria dos atores neste drama de 3 horas realmente invocou emoções fortes por meio de sua interpretação dos personagens. Suas performances foram tão poderosas que eles trouxeram a história à vida de uma forma profunda. I loved the ending. I skipped most part because it is always the same...she suffered for her on doing. And she dieing was the best of all choices. Forgiveness is powerful but in this case it was not close to possible.

I'm so glad this drama didn't follow the typical route of sweeping all the pain and trauma under the rug for a 'happy ending.' It felt realistic,traumatic and true to the characters' journey that the princess couldn't simply forgive or forget all the terrible things she endured. The fact that the show acknowledged the consequences of those actions made it more powerful, even if the ending was heartbreaking😢. Not all stories need to have a happy ending, and this one would have felt wrong if they just ended up together like nothing happened."

This drama is so sad, story line was good. I was crying so hard, I feel so bad for her. The worst thing was for her to find out she caused her kingdom to fall 😭😭 I’m glad she didn’t forgive him and lefted the world finally. Hopefully they never meet in the next life or if they did for them to only pass each other. Horrific abuse of FL by ML because he fails to recognize his savior, as per usual. Show is 90% abuse and torture, with a little amnesia and her death thrown in at the end. Overall, disgusting. Some redeeming characters but not enough to make it worth the time, even watching at double speed.

ML was BRUTAL. I mean he was next level brutal. FL inadvertently caused the destruction of her kingdom but she was just a child and didnt know what the map was.. The guilt she felt upon finding out the truth on too of everything she endured from t he ML and everyone else was like adding insult to injury. She felt like everything bad for her ppl started with her and only by her death could it end. I don't blame her for telling ML please do not show up in my next life...however, i suspect he will. And um, was i tge only one who dayum near choked when ML said he wasnt human until he met Iris...um so all the ish he did to her is what he thouggt was 'human'.

this is a short drama but all actors and actresses are really good omg! i usually skip a lot of scenes with this kind of chinese drama cuz usually they’re ridiculous. this drama plot is ridiculous too but the acting is just superb! i was afraid when she has amnesia like NO MAAM! you dont forgive him after all the abuse. so the ending is perfect for this drama. overall 9.9/10 !
Tragic but well written story with good actors and acceptable ending. The FL made a wrong decision in saving the young ML not knowing he's an enemy of her country which led to the fall of her kingdom, death of her parents and her cruel marriage. The ML did not realize she was the person who saved him and so he abused her and let others abuse her too. When he found out the truth and tried to make amends, I'm glad that she didn't forgive him. In the end she chose to die while extracting a promise from him and her brother to end the war and coexist peacefully. Her death was really the best revenge because he lived in regret.
The feeling of revenge ruins everything, after all the male lead is left with nothing but the throne.

This was by far the most tragic Cdrama story I've seen here. Although there are more like this. But still these invoked a lot of strong emotions that are not easily overlooked. It's really very disturbing and hard to swallow - with all the tortures, mutilation, sadist, masochist, evil scheming monsters they call 'humans'.

Yes, all this started from the ignorance of a young bratty princess - cause she was grounded and didn't know that the map she gave an unknown little boy (whom she wanted to save and who also apparently wanted to get revenge on her kingdom) would cause all the tragic disasters that befall her beloved kingdom, her family and herself. (I wonder how he ended up in her territory during that time and why he would hate their kingdom so much, cause later it was revealed that they weren't responsible for his mother's death but it's his father. So it's probably also cause of his people who died.)
It's a tragedy that the evil schemer cousin of the prince is smarter in terms of blackmailing the FL and the stupid easily fooled ML always believes his beloved cousin more than ever. And to think she only died by being slashed through the neck. What an easy death! I wish the bad guys in films would be reciprocated as bad as what they did to the main lead. That would be sweet justice.
The FL, on the other hand, endured so much torture and abuse over a period of time. You wouldn't actually want to accept such a male counterpart to be your partner while you're alive. Would you? That's heinous! Even though he changed because he learned that the girl he was searching for "Iris" was Annie in the end. It's no wonder she lost her memory cause of the guilt, pain and remorse she overwhelmingly felt. That everything started and ended because of her. Anybody would have a hard time accepting that fact where a small innocent decision you made, can cause a big disastrous outcome that can destroy many lives including yours. And it's no wonder she would prefer death over a bad decision she made.
The ML had a moment of regret but lived through it until the end of his life. It's like he doesn't even have a conscience to begin with - probably cause his father wanted to kill him too. Still, he's like a ruthless devil with no soul. If I were the FL, I would want to run away from such an individual too.
Moreover, the confusing part is whether the child survived or not.
Also, can't they just tone down the loud sound track? It's becoming very annoying.

It’s the best and happy ending for the FL, she didn’t have to suffer anymore, it’s suffocating and brutal for her to endured it all. She’s strong that she is able to live till she meets her brother. The ML definitely deserves to be alone forever.

Quanto aos personagens, todos vítimas. O principe apaixonado pela única pessoa que lhe deu um pouco de carinho. Ele mesmo fala que só conhecia a morte e foi treinado desde pequeno para matar. Ela uma princesinha, doce e sonhadora, tão inocente que sem saber deu o mapa das defesas de seu reino para um principe inimigo, e com isso provocou a destruição e a morte de tudo o que amava. O principe mesmo negando, no fundo do coração sabia que era ela quem ele tanto procurava, pq senão teria deixado ela morrer antes, mas a arrogância masculina não permitia ele ver o óbvio. Apenas um homem sendo homem e uma mocinha sendo uma mocinha iludida por seus sonhos. No fundo, respeitando as proporções, nada diferente do que sempre aconteceu na história da humanidade entre homens e mulheres, e continua acontecendo pq os homens seguem sendo arrogantes e presunçosos, e as mulheres seguem sendo tolas e crédulas

O protagonista esse filho da put## vence a guerra contra o país, onde a protagonista é princesa, milhares morrem e ele trás a princesa e os pais dela pro reino dele.
Chegando lá,ele tem planos de matar a princesa que é a prota,e ta literalmente com a espada no pescoço dela, quando chega o servo do imperador com uma ordem onde basicamente obriga ele a casar com s prota.
Se casam na primeira noite ele abusa dela,mais pra frente mata os pais dela literalmente na frente dela,faz ela ser torturada os dedos quebrados e furados,mais pra frente queima ela com ferro quente duas vezes.
Manda corta os tendões do pulso,pernas e bracos fazendo com que ela não consiga andar direito ou segurar.
Engravida ela,e quando o bebê ta de oito meses,em um complô faz o parto dela ser induzido e o bebê morre.
Em todo o tempo que se conheceram nunca demonstrou piedade por ela,pq ele se apaixonou pela menina que o salvou quase no final ele descobre que a menina era a princesa e fica chocado,a princesa ja sabia que ele era o menino quando encontrou o mapa que ela deu a ele pra escapar do país.
Não contou pq ele ja tinha estu**do ela e torturado,dps ele mata os pais dela e ao ver ele tão frenético em busca da garota que ele chama de íris,ela resolve não contar pra ele que ela é essa garotinha,como uma forma de vingança.
O fim dos dois: após fazer o irmão dela e o cafajeste prometerem que não iam mais fazer guerras,ela se joga da muralha,ele vive cheio de remorso e culpa pelo que fez e no final do mostra uma cena dele velho olhando pra um retrato dela e meio que dizendo que logo iam se encontrar suspeito q cometeu suicidio.
Enfim,chorei fiquei com raiva esperava um Dorama com final feliz e encontrei um de tragédia😢😢
Eu nem terminei de assistir. Pesado demais. Primeira vez que assisto um Dorama e fiquei chocada com tamanha violência. Deus me livre. A vida já é tão dura, para que trazer isto para a ficção...

I thought it was awesome that Lily the maid lady changed and ended up being really loyal. Also, I felt like the brother was just so tragic because he did love all his family. He already had protected his sister about the map and did want to save his sister at the end. This was the stupidest cruelest general/prince ever. Supremely evil and full of excuses m. The female lead I don’t know like Lily said the FL just didn’t figure out how to be cunning. I am so sorry for her and I’m glad she got peace in using her death to bring the war to end also to avenge herself against him.
Why she had to die? Couldnt she left and never talk to him ever again and let him live in regret?
