It took me 3 days to finish watching this movie. Mostly because I could not stand Burt Lancaster, for as long as I could remember. I am glad I took the time to watch this movie till the end because it completely changed my heart about this actor. Mr. Lancaster, may you rest in peace knowing you were a good actor all along. Your acting skills truly showed in this movie attentively in each scene capturing your audience hearts.

He was excellent in "Come Back, Little Sheba" in which he played against type. He was unathletic, nerdy, shy for a change. This unusual film needed a big name, and fortunately, he accepted the role.

I was going to say, "that's OK. I love Burt Lancaster enough for both of us." But I'm glad you changed your mind. I fell in love with him at the end of the movie The Unforgiven when he kissed Audrey Hepburn. That totally changed my whole perspective on him and I've loved him ever since. And I totally loved him in The Rainmaker. I just love his face, his jawline, his smile. I love everything about him. ❤

That angers me as well! It’s poor editing and or obtaining a recording illegally to avoid a Copy strike by YT! It’s a big thumbs down for me👎🏼
Luckily thankfully there are others that do not take and properly download the films.
So far there are three that take and to see I block! This is one I will be blocking and reporting!

@@STORMY0O Obviously you were unsuccessful at having it taken down. These corporations are ripping us off by copywriting shows that already had expired copyrights. They do it by merely changing the intro, and the fanatically right wing governments of both parties have ripped us off by allowing that! Well I'm not an American thank god, and I shouldn't have to abide by a foreign law in my own home. So I'm glad your attack on it failed.

MOST especially in the one with her and Robert Young I think, where they rent an old cottage on the British coast, and at first they're both disfigured somehow, but after falling in love they become very beautiful, both of them. I've always wanted to see it again, but can't remember the name. Maybe Enchanted Cottage? But I think that's a different one, with James Mason.

Many ironic things in this one: The hero and heroine are spying on each other constantly (basis of all true love). the government is honest and the protector of the people's money and against counterfeit money instead of being the largest PRODUCER of it by far, Secret Service agents are the protectors of the people instead of the enemies of them like say, KGB in the Soviet Union or all the letter agencies in this country today. Perhaps the biggest irony is that the trial is held in the Southern District of New York, which today of course is just for show trials of ex presidents to prevent them from being president again!
