    I heard someone say something ago, he said when giving is publicized, the receiver's dignity is being stripped away. Sometimes, giving is publicized in cases where the receiver needs something and the giver decides to just give. When we view an online post of someone giving, the first thing that may come to mind is that the giver has done something commendable but subconsciously, we've also labelled the receiver as incapable of helping themselves out. I think the honourable thing to do is seek permission as Mary has emphasized. Even if you think this person will never see your post, it's just good practice to seek permission. Another option is to also blur out faces and scramble voices just so the receiver remains anonymous.

    Givings should only be made public on these two intentions;
    1. When the giving is a kind of Go-fund me approach, meaning you want to help a person and you know your help isn't sufficient. So you make it public to stir more people to help.
    2. You aim to convey a message other than giving. For example, social media influencers who pretends to be needy before giving generously to everyone who assists them; in this case , the emphasis is on helping the needy rather than on giving.
    Or giving to raise awareness for your brand like Jay-Mikee stated, in that case, the emphasis is on business and not giving e.t.c.
    Aside these two factors, all givings should be done privately or left to the receiver to either make the appreciation public or private like Mary said.
    In addition to not giving publicly, givers should also not desire public appreciation... In fact, don't have your mind on appreciation at all (this might be hard though 😀).
    Gracies for reading this...💕

    Interesting topic up in here. There are indeed many sides to the coin of giving in front of the camera, and majority of that was addressed. Kudos to you three.👍
    Speaking of topic suggestions, I would like that a topic be addressed. It could be termed something like "Bible or iBle". It has to do with going to church with hard copy bible or the soft copy or even personal study. This applies to both the preacher and the "preachee".😂
    There's been a lot of arguments and articles (with the tag of 'forwarded many times'😅) along that line.
    I Would have loved to throw more light to give an understanding, but I believe the JMJ crew is well able to do justice to the topic.
    Gracias. 🙂🙏

    I believe the scripture should be our standard for living. If it was good, God's Word will not have spoken against it.
    Let's consider these portion of scriptures together and let's build a Godly value system for ourselves‭.
    Matthew‬ ‭6:1‭-‬4‬ ‭NKJV‬
    [1] “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. [2] Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. [3] But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, [4] that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
    God bless Zion Culture!

      Let's take note of the word charitable deeds. So the mindset towards giving must be considered.
      In some cases, it may not be for the sake of charitable deeds but for business promotion, some for likes and accolades, some for expectation of bigger rewards from the receiver but as for charitable giving according to the scripture, it's given in secret as unto God, knowing that our reward is coming from the Lord.

    I don't think it should be up to the receiver alone. What happens if the giver doesn't want to be known publicly? Or they don't want the general public to know their financial capacity #Justice4DGiver👀

    I really enjoyed this topic, Thank you ZION KULTURE
    I also think the person that receives the gift and then posting it publicly can be that the person is also showing off. For example, a girl that posts the gift that her boyfriend gave her can also be a sign of her showing off her boyfriend’s ability or wealth and in that case I think it is not also right

    Amazing Episode here....👌
    Everything on Zion Kulture is healthy for learning. God bless the whole crew, including those behind the camera.
    From the attack Jay-Mikee and Mary gave Jeremiah, I could see how important it is for us to always have our facts and whys well thought out before judging a matter....
    The attack was real but fun though.😅

  • @giwaajokee.9770
    @giwaajokee.9770 6 месяцев назад +2

    Scripture is our standard as Christians. If your left hand has given, your right hand should not know. Especially if you're giving from a spiritual perspective. I can understand for organizations and some churches in terms of CSR and orphanage/prison/hospital visit for valid reasons.
    Giving family members and/or parents on camera is even the height of disregard. Do you expect your family to start thanking you on camera, for what purpose? Not honourable in any way and the value in that generosity is lost.
    I love Mary's point and it concludes this discussion... Let it be up to the receiver! I bet many receivers would not want it to be made public.
    P.S.... public giving promotes pride on the part of giver and disdain for the receiver.
    #shalom!

    Recently, I ask myself why do I give? Do I give to see the person blessed or do I give just to make myself look good in the eyes of the reciever and others? Do I give because i want people to say she's a giver?
    The reason why we do something should be known - Intention
    Now that social media is the world means of communication, there will definitely be misguided ideas on giving.
    Thank you for this 💯💐

    I think when it comes to giving motives matter.
    If you seek for a reward from the God with regards to what you give, you should give secretly so God can reward you openly.
    Another scenario will be when you are giving for the fun of giving. This action might be to let people know how to treat people that work with you, to show to other that have that it is important to to bless those in need so bring the camera in this regard is just showing to the world the happiness you can give give a person who you chose to share your resourses with them
    Another reason could be to promote a brand.
    And the last reason i think you can give on camera is when you want to help those you don't know and you tell them to pitch their ideas.
    I know in this regard the anouncement can be public will the giving can be private but some choose otherwise.
    My conclusion about giving on camera is that you should search yourself well and know the motive why you are using camera. If the motive is to pepper people or show off just know that you are doing the wrong thing.
    Lastly, we are children of God let us be guided.

    Putting your life on social media in general is risky. Look at the heat some people have been receiving for it: Moses Bliss and recently Mercy Chinwo and Nathaniel Bassey caught stray bullet from nowhere 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ social media allows random strangers to have a say in your life. Imagine the nonsense accusations concerning Mercy's baby🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ and some people will see that and say "it's true oh" , reputations are on the line for nothing.

    Hello Zion kulture, good one here. Question: Do you think having to use RUclips videos or worship songs and chants to fellowship with the Holy Spirit is right?

    • @narteyobedbaah8567
      @narteyobedbaah8567 6 месяцев назад

      Please I I'll like to ask a question to your question, what is the difference between the various scenarios you just mentioned and joining an online prayer, sermon or worship stream? Also, what can you say about singing along with the lead worshiper in a physical church auditorium whiles worshiping and praising God?

    • @narteyobedbaah8567
      @narteyobedbaah8567 6 месяцев назад

      I think sometimes when these things are based on emotions, the 'worshiper' will not have any cause to worship when he/she has no gadgets on him/her which in my opinion isn't right. But if the person was led to use a song to praise God but the person need some backing on the lyrics and possibly the 'sound or gifted voice' from a certain minister then it's fine.

    • @LawrencePrincessMojisola
      @LawrencePrincessMojisola 6 месяцев назад

      @narteyobedbaah8567 what I mean is...for your personal fellowship with the holy spirit...could it be for every time?
