    Dear NBA,
Stop sleeping on Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen! These two are the heart and soul of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Sure, Donovan Mitchell drops 30-point games and hits clutch shots, but without Mobley and Allen, this team would be lost.
Mobley is a generational talent on defense. He can guard anyone, protect the rim, and switch onto guards like it’s nothing. Oh, and he’s only 22-imagine how good he’ll be in a few years!
Allen is a walking double-double and one of the most underrated big men in the league. His rebounding, rim protection, and efficiency are the backbone of this team.
Meanwhile, Mitchell is a great scorer, but let’s be real-he’s a ball-dominant guard who needs the right system and teammates around him to succeed. Mobley and Allen are that system. They’re the ones who make the Cavaliers a legitimate contender in the East.
So, NBA, let’s start giving these two the respect they deserve. Put them in the All-Defensive teams, talk about them in MVP conversations, and recognize that basketball is more than just scoring. Mobley and Allen are the real MVPs of the Cavaliers.
    Sincerely,
Every fan who actually watches the games.

Massive win for the Cavaliers. Adjustments will need to be made, especially (considering possible future playoff match-ups) when Chet gets back. That being said, the Cavs offense put up 129 points against the best defensive team in the NBA, with Donovan struggling most of the game. This team looks unstoppable.

Why Mobley and Allen Are Irreplaceable
    Defensive Backbone:
Mobley and Allen are the heart of the Cavaliers' defense, which is one of the best in the league. Mobley’s versatility to guard 1 through 5 and Allen’s rim protection are game-changing.
Without them, the Cavaliers would be a much weaker defensive team, and their identity as a tough, gritty squad would disappear.
    Rebounding and Physicality:
Allen is one of the best rebounders in the NBA, and Mobley’s length and athleticism make him a force on the glass. Their ability to control the boards is critical for the Cavaliers to thrive.
Mitchell, for all his scoring, doesn’t contribute much in this area.
    Team Chemistry and Balance:
Mobley and Allen allow the Cavaliers to play inside-out. Their presence in the paint opens up opportunities for shooters and slashers like Mitchell and Garland.
Without them, the offense would become one-dimensional, relying too heavily on perimeter scoring.
    Mitchell’s Role and Limitations
Ball-Dominant Playstyle: Mitchell can sometimes be a ball hog. He’s a high-volume scorer who needs the ball in his hands to be effective, which can disrupt the flow of the offense.
Defensive Liability: Mitchell isn’t known for his defense, and his lack of size can make him a target in certain matchups. Mobley and Allen often cover for his defensive shortcomings.
Replaceable Scoring: While Mitchell is an elite scorer, there are other players in the league who could potentially fill that role (though not at his level). However, finding a duo like Mobley and Allen-who dominate defensively and provide efficient offense-is nearly impossible.
    Conclusion
Mobley and Allen are the true MVPs of the Cavaliers. They provide the defense, rebounding, and balance that allow players like Mitchell to thrive. Without them, the team would lack identity and struggle to compete at a high level. Mitchell’s scoring is flashy, but Mobley and Allen’s contributions are the glue that holds the team together. 1:02

OKC is a fantastic team as they showed last night. I don't think the "injuries" excuse works unless you've got either your: 1. Top guy out, 2. 2 of your 2-5 guys out, or 3. 3 of your 6-12 guys out, or some suitable combination of the above. Critical injuries to your roster are ones that force you to change up your entire gameplan. Holmgren (number 2) and Caruso being out is kinda on par with Mitchell (top scorer) having a 3-12 night and Okoro (starting wing) first game back. Lucky for the Cavs, Allen and Strus' output made up for Mitchell's rare off night and the Cavs had control of the 4th quarter. These teams seem so closely matched, and I can't wait for the next game in OKC. I'm also wondering how for real the Rockets are.

  • @ErroneousMonk1
    @ErroneousMonk1 15 дней назад

This is delusional. The Cavs took ten more free throws than the Thunder. The Thunder played them straight up on their home court missing Caruso, Ajay and Chet. This is as good of an outcome as OKC could expect in these circumstances, short of pulling out a win. If I’m the rest of the league, I’m worried about this Thunder team when Chet and Hartenstein are able to play together and sub each other out.

The thing about OKC, if you take Shai away they lose. The Cavs just proved they dont need 1 specific player but it's something that I've been noticed about OKC. That's how I knew they weren't winning last year and this year it will be hard for them to make the Finals as well. Even against the worst team in the league they will lose that series if you take Shai away. You can even let him score 50, 60 points and wear himself out and they'll still lose at that higher level past the regular season.

Give the Cavs credit because they are a really solid team and play outstanding basketball. They clearly are extremely well coached. That being said OKC played this game without 3 of their main rotational players: Chet, Mitchell and Caruso and obviously Holmgren is the 2nd best player on the team and plays a HUGE role so they are not remotely close to playing at full strength.
