Carmel is one of the richest areas in nor cal, near Monterey. Definitely helps its right by the ocean. She is setup for success, probably swam since a very young age out in the ocean also.
the eiffel tower iron bit is on the other side hexagonal iron shape because it s the geomatric form of the country ( the hexagon), the sport won is written on the side of the medal and on the back of the medal u have the winged firgure with a tiny eiffel on its right. for the paralympic meal, u have the eiffel tower seen from above and the word paris and 2024 are written in braille ( for blind people) and I, II or III on the side for gold, silver, bronze.
@@rhp_6926 Well since you took the time to type out a response you could have just said the 4×100 medley relay and the 4×200 freestyle relay instead of just being a Dick. 🤔
@@rhp_6926 I did watch those two relay events final races live on TV then and on highlights on YT now, and do not recall her competing in those events, at least in the finals. Was she a member on the relay team, but not a participant in the relay finals?
That last image of her biting on the medals is quite interesting due to all the hoo-ha over how poor quality the Paris medals are supposed to be, so she should be careful not to put teeth marks in her 'Gold' medal. Good on her though for fulfilling her goals and that of her parents.
@@mintberrycrunch6657 articles re the lower quality of the metal, significantly less gold. One athlete's medal is tarnished after a few days from just handling the medal from himself and others.
She swam prelims and got the team into finals. Teams do that to sort out who is swimming well, and also to rest the faster swimmers for finals. Been done this way for a long time, and everyone that contributes gets a medal. In football, should do only the starters deserve the Super Bowl ring, or does the entire team deserve it? It’s the same concept, not hard to understand.
Without her contribution, the team wouldn't have made the finals. The big-time swimmers may have been doing other events, or otherwise getting their rest for the relay final. So yes, she DESERVES those medals......
Her school is the most beautiful and luxurious public high schools in America.
Ikr?!

@@Metalsxbt Their high school is in Indiana, not nor cal.
@@MetalsxbtYeah she’s from Carmel, Indiana…a suburb of Indianapolis haha
@@Metalsxbt wrong state bro
she swam the heats for the 4x100 Medley.... with USA fielding the best in the finals (she got a GOLD too)
Cute and funny. Enjoy your life Alex. Congrats, and many more!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I am proud to say that she is a part of my district and my city great job Alex

And yet, her school will still vote for the football player as "Most Athletic".
The sad truth 😂❤

Awesome, I graduated 1984.
Congrats. Nicly.
Congrats
Imagine having to go back to high school after competing in the Olympics
Seems well grounded…
Those medals look different than the ones from the medal ceremonies. Am I missing something?
that's the back - the original logo from the 1896 Games. the Eiffel tower bit is on the other side.
See you here in LA in 2028
👏👏👏
What swimming events in Olympics did she win gold and silver medals in? I would like to know.
Took me a whole 30 seconds to look it up

@@mintberrycrunch6657 articles re the lower quality of the metal, significantly less gold. One athlete's medal is tarnished after a few days from just handling the medal from himself and others.
It’s pronounced Car-MEL…
She's from Carmel, Indiana and not Carmel, California. They are pronouncing it correctly.
@johnajda NOPE.......you are INCORRECT.
She didn't swim in either final. She was an alternate on both teams. Deserving of both medals? Nope.
