    It's time for a dose of calm and comfort with this arrangement! As with my usual style, this closely follows Evan Call's original version, titled "Headpats and Praise". Since most of the Frieren covers I'm doing are quite emotional or grand, I wanted to leave a slot for a more relaxing and unknown piece. The result is a soothing arrangement that can be both enjoyed and played by anyone.
    This video marks the return of my cam videos after a hiatus. I hate camera work with a passion, it's always a drag to set it up. That, and to get everything in one perfect take. Technically I could do it "music video" style and just sync to playback, or use some transitions to "cheat" and save myself from the headache. But ideally, at least with short pieces, I try to do it as "live" as possible. We're currently moving apartments and I'm considering buying a new piano so there's a lot happening, but I want to do at least a few cam vids here and there. With cam feed, I love that people can check fingerings or see how I do this and that with a piece. And it's just a nice feeling to perform on camera. Hopefully you guys like it as well, let me know!
    Thanks for watching! Please like & subscribe if you enjoyed the video.

    Happy Friday! I'm here to serve you some calm and comfy Frieren music, and this time directly from my office. Let me know if you enjoy seeing cam videos again, and hope you like it

    tfw Frieren can't actually praise you and give you headpats.
    Beautiful cover! I love whatever form you release music through, but it is awesome to see you back on cam videos! I feel you on the one-takes though. Always my biggest dread with recording. @_@
    Good luck with the move!

    How long have you been practicing piano? And in the beginning, did you just play easy scores or songs you really wanted?

    • @TorbyBrand
      @TorbyBrand  4 месяца назад +2

      For many years now! I recommend doing easy scores first, preferably one page and easy difficulty level. It’s much more motivating to be able to play three easy and short pieces well, than to struggle with one difficult/long piece imo. Happy to give recommendations from my channel!

      @@TorbyBrand I understand, I've been playing for about 5 months and the pieces I really want are too difficult for my current level, I can only get short and easy pieces of sheet music

      @@gustavobatista116 keep going! It’s a great feeling to perform pieces even if they’re simple. I recommend ‘Katawaredoki’ or ‘Two Confessions’ for example
