If you watch carefully, you can see the male dancer here spin and stumble onto all fours. He recovers instantly but it is noticeable. I’m sure today some technical magic would have cleaned it up.

But if you saw only two which appears on RUclips and no more, don´t write another comments, please. Almost all dancers have this problem with limitation - and they are better documented than Massine. PS: Vera - Ellen - female part in this duet is exception, with infinite dancing potential.
Frantisek Slaninka yes l am a great expert due the fact l am balletlover since l was 15 and now l am 61 and saw many times live all the great dancers since late 60's till now and the whole ballet productions hundreds times so please when answer to some comment of mine here on you tube avoid being arrogant.ps l never liked his dancing very mediocre also for his time.
Thank you for response. Sorry but I have no chance to know you are expert and dancing/ballet lover for long years from your trivial comment about Massine. I feel energy in his performences and his "spanish" style is simply better than other ballet dancers (omit flamenco or latino specialist) - I saw only two or three his performances and have two his choreographic outputs on DVD´s from Vaimusic production. I´ll be happy to see another his performances to agree he is so boring and limitated dancer. But who is no limitated ballet dancer? Nureyev, Vasiliev, Acosta? I doubt about it. PS: Ballet or dancing generally is minority genre, so I appreciate it´s lovers.

massine was a very limitated dancer that in every video is performing histerycally the same steps more or less .
