The biggest difference between Miguel and Robbie is their character and upbringing. In spite of all the ruthless, aggressive Cobra Kai training, Miguel will always remain a good guy through and through because at his very core, he is just a kind, loving and sensible soul who always has had a loving mother and grandmother. Like Daniel was as a teenager. He has been taught to care for others, to see the best in everyone, and to always learn from his own mistakes.
Robbie is the total opposite. In spite of all the moralistic Miyagi teachings about forgiveness, compassion and self-restraint from Daniel, Robbie has always been a character who's forever psychologically damaged by the parental neglect he has suffered since childhood. There was no one teaching him kindness, true friendship, love, discipline and doing the right thing when he was a kid. Instead all he could feel was self-loathing, distrust, insecurity, anger. And it's already too late now. He's a teenager already. Daniel's Miyagi lessons may have kept his baser instincts in check for a few months but in the end, all his darkness came out when faced with crisis.
I agree a lot with what you said! They're literally just two characters going through opposite situations, and to add on, with Sam as their common ground. Robby's just so buried in all the bad things that's happened to him, but he truly wants to change for the better. However, it's because of his bad life that makes it so difficult for him. That's why I really hope Robby gets a redemption arc eventually.
@@pvtrickallan Yes i hope he finds some sort of resolution and redemption. At this point, he can't be the protagonist. He is not the new karate kid. That's always going to be Miguel but I want Robbie to emerge as a solid character that is deserving of love, forgiveness and appreciation from all.

Miguel came late to the start of the fight and the first thing he actually saw was Robbie with his hands on Tory and kick another of the cobra Kai who went to interfere. So from his point of view Robbie was the aggressor

Tory should’ve know that Miguel wasn’t over Sam. It was SOO incredibly obvious.
Sam shouldn’t have kissed Miguel. Period. But Tory is responsible for her own actions. She started that fight, and her pity party, poor me, poor me attitude has gotten very old for me. Like, grow up, take responsibility for your own actions, and get some help. She has way too much rage, and doesn’t know a healthy way to deal with it. Same with Robbie. But then again, these are teenagers, and I can’t expect that much from hormonal children.
Sam did a stupid thing, that lots of teenagers have done, but she didn’t kick Miguel over the railing and she did not start that fight. Sorry not sorry. But that’s the way I personally see it.

One thing I think should be mentioned about Robby, he keeps getting kicked out by Daniel for things he didn't really do. There were more factors than just the kiss that led him to reverting to anger over the Miyagi-do teachings. In a way, Sam got drunk because of Miguel, which not only led to a kiss, but then Robby had to be responsible for a drunken Sam, and as a result he ended up kicked out by his mentor and father figure. He literally lost everything, and Sam was the last good thing in his life, but that turned out to be not so good when she cheated. I don't think what Robby did was right, but he's got literally nothing good going for him, it's hard to see how he could've made a better choice considering all he's been through

Listen, the teachers were on their smoke break so they didnt care about the fight.
Sam isn't a bad person. She just has had such a loved, sheltered life that she does not always understand the potential consequences of her actions in the lives of people who have had a far more screwed up life than her - like Tory or Robbie. She isn't spiteful or irresponsible or anything but just not very decisive. Often caught up between trying not to hurt others and doing what her heart wants, she actually ends up doing something that complicates everything even more.

Everyone wants to blame Miyagi-Do and Johnny for Miguel getting hurt but if you look closer at what actually happened Tory was the one who started all of the chaos at the school by threatening Sam over the loudspeaker and then getting in a huge fight with her that turned into an entire school fight. If Tory had just kept quiet and waited until after school to resolve it in private with Sam & Miguel the whole fight would've never happened. She maybe would've still fought with Sam but there's no way Tory would try to hurt Miguel.
Even with the events playing out the way they did, Tory may have started the fight, but she is not responsible for miguel's fall in any way. The only one at fault there is Robby. He could've got up and accepted defeat like a real man and worked it out with miguel instead of choosing to fight him after it was over.

robby definitely ain't mean to hurt miguel like that, it's more like: he for a second adopted cobra kai's no mercy mentality while miguel decided for once to have mercy. he just wanted the last hit because he was pissed, there's no way he'd aim for that outcome. it was still terrible though of course bc he very well could have killed my guy miguel. but i don't think robby is a bad person or irredeemable though. just a few episodes ago, miguel would have done the same because he didn't believe in mercy yet. honestly i really hope miguel and robby can be friends some day because they would be badass together

After Robby came clean about the metal of honor if u listen Sam was actually about to come clean but the bell rang
Also I’m saying what Robby did was good but during the whole fight Miguel was antagonizing him, on balcony he told Robby that Sam doesn’t love him and that she loves him, so Robby was getting more and more pissed off and that was a like 40 seconds before he kick Miguel
Exactly, he felt humiliated and really pissed off at that moment and considering he fought blinded with those emotions in between and ended on the floor with Miguel over him right after those words you said. The whole situation was a pitty. I still like both characters, Miguel and Robbie. I used to like Sam, not so much at this point and Tory...idk, but i really like the acting and the script.
Well Robbie was taunting Miguel saying he took advantage of Sam, which he didn’t🤦🏾♀️ He’s still mad at Miguel of stuff that he’s apologized for. And making Miguel seem like the bad guy when Sam is the one who kissed him in the first place, which he would have known if he didn’t assume and talked to Sam. He definitely had some pent up anger that he’s been waiting to get out towards Miguel.

From an adult point of view the blame is fully & squarly on Tory & the school. Tory should have been taken by teachers as soon as she broke into the room to take the microphone, the whole school heard her so she should have been apprehended. The teachers should also have taken Sam to a safe location by teachers. Tory started everything & NOTHING justified her actions. It's stupid overreaction cuture of teenagers over a kiss. They all acting like they slept together.
Nah I don’t understand it wasn’t just the kiss since day one u have to admit Sam has been out to get Tory an example is how she accused her of stealing she alway told iesha tos top being friends with her out of jealousy Tory loved Miguel and she probably felt so betrayed but both there actions if I was her I would want to beat Sam up too not saying that’s it’s right but if u continue to watch the saw u probably would be on team Tory she even try’s to be nice to Sam but Sam being Sam refuses to see the good in her even sams mom saw that Tory was just a child who is just trying to get buy working multiple jobs taking care of her mother and brother and even had to drop out of school so she could work to support her family I think part of why Tory hates Sam is because she is a rich privileged girl who has everything handed to her while she quite literally has to fight for everything she has I’m not saying she is a good person well in season 4 she definitely is a good person but she didn’t deserve what happened to her。

From another adult point of view its the adults fault very clearly.
Namely Johnny and Larusso.
They are the adults and still couldn't behave like ones and give a good example and kept fueling these kids rivalry.
I'm have been in a dojo, you get combative and tribal but its the way your sensei does things that makes it toxic or a healthy rivalry.
They are all kids.
They could've learned to deal with their conflicts many ways, they learned the way their parents and mentors taught them.
Tory is a kid with a sick mom and who has to provide herself for her mom and siblings.
She is angry, sees her Doja as her family, he is the one who taught them no mercy which made her react to her bf cheating on her with violance.
In the end the Tory and Sam fight could've been stopped by the school staff.
But it turned into a whole school brawl bc of the way these kids rivalry got not only left unchecked but encouraged and turned sour way back.
Lastly the school being responsible for the escalating fight is ridiculous.
Parents like to do that, ''its the school fault !'' like how about you control your offspring ?
Parent are supposed to raise them not the school.
That's lazy parenting finding excuses at it's finest.
The valley has had dojo's since multiple decades and this never happened, it makes no sense to think it would happen, and to have enough security to stop 2 dozen of trained kids fighting at once.
Again security or teachers could've stopped Tory and Sam.
The way their mentors taught them made the girls fight into a dojo against Dojo's fight.
Teachers are not required, nor insured nor should they take on risks to themselves to be assaulted by their students.
Especially not in a country where there's no universal healthcare and medical bills can go up to 7 figures.

I was team Tory because a good amount of the conflict stems from Sam not knowing what she wants and playing with multiple people's feelings because she's so used to getting everything she wants. I mean, the entire reason she even has beef with Tory even before the whole Miguel thing is because she was being a square at the country club or wtv tf that place was; She even had the nerve to accuse someone she JUST met of taking her mom's wallet for doing classic teenager shit like stealing alcohol. Tory may have been overly violent, but Sam was really pushing it throughout the whole series and still never owns up to her actions, she just tries to push past it in hopes that no one will be solid enough to ask for a genuine apology and for her to take actual accountability for her actions. She pretends to take accountability a lot and it's just really hard to watch without getting irritated.
And a recent example that shows she hasn't changed is that phone call with Miguel when he was looking for his dad. My man Miguel was going through it and she found a way to make it about herself. He even said, "How are you making it about you? "

To be fair Sam was going to tell Robbie what happened but the bell rang before she got the chance so it’s really not her fault. So for the most part the brawl is Tory’s fault. Also Tory only dated Miguel to stick it to Sam so she played herself because she knew they still had feelings for each other. Her and Robbie were rebounds, nothing more. Miguels the one she should be mad at not Sam since he was the one dating Tory. Sam doesn’t owe her anything. Let’s be real! Lol, good reaction though you guys. Keep it up 🙂👍🏾

I don't care for Tory's character but she definitely didn't go after Miguel because he used to date Sam, she was flirting hard and kept trying to talk to him before she even knew.
@@Narine360 She did. He had made that PowerPoint and asked her about it and she told him that Sam wouldn’t like it🙄 and basically saying he needs to move on... I don’t feel bad because she knew he wasn’t over Sam she kept pushing.
@@MsMojo014 You aren't wrong about what she did about the PowerPoint, but that literally happened after she was flirting with him at the dojo and at the restaurant. So saying she was pursuing him BECAUSE he went out with Sam is just factually incorrect.
Saying well you knew that he was into her and not 100% over her allows him to break his promise that he made to be in a relationship with her is akin to, if you know your boyfriend had a girlfriend that may have some lingering feelings for then you shouldn't be surprised when they cheat and it's not their fault for cheating, but the person that went out with them. Sure that makes sense.

And every time Sam was around she made it a point to rub it in Sam’s and be unnecessarily rude to her. That shows that she was insecure about her relationship with Miguel and knew that it was possible the feelings were still there. So yeah, a part of her knew she wrong for going after him the way that she did. And of course Miguel wasn’t in the right for what he did but Tory didn’t have pure intentions from the beginning so I don’t feel bad for her🤷🏾♀️

Just binged season 3 today lol, you're in for a big treat boys!
From another adult point of view its the adults fault very clearly.
Namely Johnny and Larusso.
They are the adults and still couldn't behave like ones and give a good example and kept fueling these kids rivalry.
I'm have been in a dojo, you get combative and tribal but its the way your sensei does things that makes it toxic or a healthy rivalry.
They are all kids.
They could've learned to deal with their conflicts many ways, they learned the way their parents and mentors taught them.
Tory is a kid with a sick mom and who has to provide herself for her mom and siblings.
She is angry, sees her Doja as her family, he is the one who taught them no mercy which made her react to her bf cheating on her with violance.
In the end the Tory and Sam fight could've been stopped by the school staff.
But it turned into a whole school brawl bc of the way these kids rivalry got not only left unchecked but encouraged and turned sour way back.
Lastly the school being responsible for the escalating fight is ridiculous.
Parents like to do that, ''its the school fault !'' like how about you control your offspring ?
Parent are supposed to raise them not the school.
That's lazy parenting finding excuses at it's finest.
The valley has had dojo's since multiple decades and this never happened, it makes no sense to think it would happen, and to have enough security to stop 2 dozen of trained kids fighting at once.
Again security or teachers could've stopped Tory and Sam.
The way their mentors taught them made the girls fight into a dojo against Dojo's fight.
Teachers are not required, nor insured nor should they take on risks to themselves to be assaulted by their students.
Especially not in a country where there's no universal healthcare and medical bills can go up to 7 figures.
