It wasn't mention but Boris used to spin at Club Tilt on Varick. He also spinned at Carbon where he started to blow up. There wasn't a night where i didn't personally said hi and shook his hand and thanked him even before the night started for me because I knew it was NEVER going to be a disappointing night. Unfortunately I was no longer allowed to approach him to personally shake his hand and thank him for what I guess was for security reasons since he was reaching celebrity status. I will say, It was nice to witness the birth of a genius. Thanks you for filling my nights with your amazing talent!

Basically the party would last until the X and K wore off! Sick memories to last a lifetime! Great crowds, music, light show!

Wow, really miss that place. Had so much fun there on Saturday nights which featured gay-themed parties. So many memories - from seeing Madonna perform there, to hearing countless big name DJs spin. My how times have changed. New York is nowhere near what it use to be. Finding a decent club nowadays requires a trip to Brooklyn as there aren't any places in Manhattan to dance. Roxy, Twilo, Sound Factory, Tunnel, Palladium, Paradise Garage, Loft, et al, RIP.

Never been to the Roxy, but the first time I went to NYC, my friend and I saw was walking around late. I heard music coming from a club and didn’t know where we were. So I told my friend this area looks like a housing projects and we better not head towards the club. I did see the club banner or am something that said 1018. And I knew that where Louie Vega and Kenny Dope was playing freestyle.
So now I’m wondering if that place I saw was actually the Roxie bc the guy in the video said 1018 had a club there. (Not sure of 1018 was only at the Roxy or was at other locations?)
I’ve been to many clubs in NYC, but this guess Roxy wasn’t as popular in the mid 90’s? I remember the old Studio 54 turned in a Latin club in the mid 90’s

Also Discotheque after hours. Boris and Xacta and the straight/gay+voguing+freaks crowd were the best.

Oh Really? That's awful. Manhatten has changed so much. It will never be the same like this. The vibe was special. The 90s and early 2000's were where it was at. Those were the days!!! Used to come from upstate NY just go to the Roxy and Twilo. Really amazing times.
