Coop, found you a while back and you've been an inspiration for me to get back on the water here in Wayne County PA, a long way from the jetties/jettys (sp?) in P.A.. Love the music, drone work, underwater cam is an awesome addition, editing, the lot. You've tapped into a niche that many of us fishermen enjoy seeing, passion for the sport and respect for wildlife. Glad that turtle was good to go btw. Keep doin you and we'll be here supporting you along the way. Ps- I'm ordering the ear buds next week.
So I'm taking finals for nursing school, I have one tomorrow & another 4 next week. I'm pretty stressed but your videos help me relax, thank you for that. Tight lines!
Thanks for not editing out the rearend spill and the fact that the camera was lost. It shows that rewards are not free. Greetings from Tijuana, Mexico...where Baja starts...
I fished the surf on PINS yesterday and all I caught was grass and seaweed. Maybe next weekend will be better. I want to snag one of those jacks you always seem to catch at the jetties. Great vids.
Hey man. 1st time commenter, long time follower. Wanna say thanks for all the cool, helpful, informative and entertaining vids. You motivate me to get my fat butt out to the water every time I watch you. Gonna go hit the surf this afternoon/evening. Hope to run into you someday. 👍
Yo coop.. you using the shimano slx baitcaster toward the end? What do u think bout it? I use it to bass fish here in San Antonio and for 99$ for a shimano baitcaster im satisfied..
Cobia! First species are the best. I keep hearing about people catching them on the north and south jetties. I would love to catch my first from shore. Great video! Thresh real question here....when I see you at the jetty is it ok to say hi?😊
Wow! I lived on my sailboat at Cove Harbor Marina in Rockport for only a year and have never seen water like that unless I ventured out into the Gulf. Beautiful water and great video!
Congrats on the Cobia, Coop! How come you don't wear shoes with cleats or spikes? Be careful out there. Epic drone shots, once again. Thanks for sharing.
It's crazy how picky these fish must be. I always stick with a few lures when i hit the surf and jetties, but clearly i need to fish a bigger variety until my selection vibes. This last trip we fished a few surf spots, picked up a ladyfish and started fishing with a live mullet about 9 inches long. Thought I felt a bite and pulled a small shark into a wave with the mullet down its mouth. Bit its head off and left me the tail for another cast.
I caught a cobia from land once, it was like 20 inches so not big at all , but cool to catch. It was a total fluke too didn’t even know they were there. Awesome video btw!!
Damn haven't watched this guy in forever I thought he stopped making videos but somehow my bell was off. I've been watching the fisherman's life and he never uploads much
You should do a meet and greet where you show us how to fish or just have a hangout at the beach in Port A or somewhere. I always go to the same spots as you but can't catch anything lol. I've seen you a few times fishing but never want to interrupt
Cool to see you being rewarded for your vids and RUclips channel. You deserve it. Cobia on the Jetty? Amazing. So is that algae on those rocks or is is some other ocean plant growing in those shots... Cool looking stuff. Wonder if it's edible? Once you catch a Cobia on the rocks you can relax and take the time to teach baby fish what to do.
Love the under water footage you should try a smaller test after cam might help to save cam great vid can't wait to see what summer brings you this year
We are coming doen to CC in about 21 July. Any tips for catching fish from Jetty/Piers this time of yeat? We come once per year and just want some fresh fish to grill and fun.
hey man, im moving to florida early july and I've never fished in the ocean, and rarely here in the midwest. Could you give a begginer some tips on things you need gear wise, and how to fish from piers, shore, or jettys? Mainly looking for fish you can eat! But would like to try shark fishing some day. Thanks man!!! :)
These past couple years the water quality has improved i beleive its because of the reefs they are doing offshore bringing up more cleanup crew species. On the flipside i taste tested silver perch today and they are fucking amazing. Just scale and gut and cut head off toss in lousiana breading lightly 6min on 350
The one thing I've always hated about fishing is getting snagged on the rocks tree limbs and other debris. What's a good tip to avoid getting your hook snagged so much?
5:44 thank you for keeping this in!
He got jeffed
@@chadlogansdad I'm innocent! lol

@thresher talk to us about that custom reel knob! We know it isnt easy to put them on a penn, a video showing us how would be pretty sweet too ;)
Yo. It's a penn slammer III knob on a spinfisher. Fits easy.
@@ThresherFishing need a video buddy! It looks 5x better than the default handle!
You always produce bangers, can't wait to see how much this channel is going to blow up! More people need to watch you!

Hey dude, why are you fishing mono? You could use a braided line and put a shock leader before.
It's white braid.

Congrats on the Cobia, Coop! How come you don't wear shoes with cleats or spikes? Be careful out there. Epic drone shots, once again. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome catch on the Cobia. That’s near the top of my jetty fishing bucket list, just below Tarpon.
Once again man killed it with the content
Hey man we dig the tunes selection
No way. Congrats. Before I left texas for school I would try every year to get one. When I come back the hunt continues!
Missed your videos, glad you can fish again

I’ve been watching the weather down there and plan on going Wednesday. Hopefully I see you there!
That underwater footage though. Now I know how my cutbait disappears even without getting a bite. Haha!
Where do you put your swivel ? Thanks That slip on the rocks..my butt felt your pain. Ouch !
I've seen some of your vids where you're throwing 2oz spoons.. What set-up do you prefer? Rod, reel, line, leader? Thanks for the help.

fishermens life and thresher are the two fishing goats of youtube
What fishing pole sizes do u take with u when u go fishing ? Like Medium - Heavy and Line sizes???
Love the live action you got going on with the underwater cam on the line.
Perhaps 'micro spikes' that you use in the high mountains for ice would help on slippery rocks? Just a thought...
Wow this dude caught a Cobia on land? That’s freakin awesome.

Hey coop how deep is that jetty water?? Sooo many species!!
Channel side is 54 feet deep or at least that's the control depth
@@TheSkiffWanderer Holy shit. No wonder theres cobia and kings!! You have to go out 5 miles here in west coast florida to get 50 foot depths!!
LOVE da vibes you put out man can't get enough
what is the strongest test line you have on your reels
Yeah the fall brings you down to earth 😂 man it was awesome you left that in
Cobia is probably the best eating fish in the ocean and they put up a great fight

Congrats on the Cobia and the fall lol! Tore up the Trout yesterday at Packery Jetties. They were biting everything.
Damn you must of got most of them.. Yesterday Saturday was a slow day out there for everyone
I watched you tie those spoons on & didn't see a swivel. How do you deal w/line twist?
You looked and sound like "Vince" when you were pitching the ear buds! Don't go get arrested now! LOL
Great vid Coop! Wish I could be there!
I miss my lifestyle when I lived near padre but hurricane Harvey forced our hand. Sadly I moved and miss it down there everyday.
Congrats on the sponsored videos bro! Keep bringing them in! Can we bring out the “bote” soon?!
Just ordered two sets of raycon e25 earbuds thanks for the recommendation
Love the vids. I've tried ur methods and I still just catch perch lol
Is that the Penn 5500 Long Cast?

You deserve a thumbs up just for taking that fall on the rocks!
Need some catch and cooks man love the vids
Love the video’s I definitely enjoy your catch and cooks. Would really like to see you do another survival fishing challenge.
That last fish is a lookdown?
My man!! In all you're videos you never fall and I always wonder how you walk around like it's nothing lol. It look's like you are human after all 😆

Happy father's day Threasher fishing.
Hey brother what rod are you using at the jetties to catch bull reds and jacks?
Does the king's teeth cut the 80 lb leader?

Hows the fishing in Corpus today. Im heading that way today. Any recommendations where to start.
The one thing I've always hated about fishing is getting snagged on the rocks tree limbs and other debris. What's a good tip to avoid getting your hook snagged so much?
If you know there are obstructions, use lures that won't sink too the bottom or speed up your retrieval rate.
I eat it every time at the jetties. Nearly lost all my shrimp last time.
Lolll
Coop just noticed you cast equally good with both hands impressive
